This week, the Spirit of the Lord is impressing that will throw light on open heavens, open doors, and divine opportunities. As I share this morning, you are going to see some very, very interesting confirmations that come from what God does when He declares open heavens, and what also happens when He declares open doors, and the divine opportunities that come when the heavens are opened and God grants you open doors. Praise ye the Lord.
Now, take note of this: when the Lord talks about open heavens, it's not about the future. He is not talking about the future. Anytime the Holy Spirit announces open heavens for anyone or a group of people, it's about what is going to happen now. What is going to happen now. And when the Holy Spirit led us to specially appreciate God on Sunday for open heavens, it implies therefore that certainly from the last quarter of last year, the heavens have been opened in a new dimension onto this ministry. And I want to assure you that your season of divine remembrance, divine reward, divine compensation, divine upliftment, dramatic transformation, that season has come for you in the name of Jesus Christ. So, let's please listen carefully as we share on open heavens, open doors, and divine opportunities.
Malachi chapter 3:10, Living Bible, it says, "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so that there will be food enough in my temple. If you do, if you do, I will open up the windows of heaven for you and pour out a blessing so great you won't have room enough to take it in." Try it. This is the Spirit of God speaking here. Try it. Let me prove it to you. Let me prove it to you.
Contemporary English Version, same verse 10, and the second part of it, it says, "Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing after blessing."
Easy to Read Version, it says, "If you do these things, if you do these things, please take note of this so we don't claim promises without paying the price, and at the end of the period of time, we begin to accuse God, accuse His church, and accuse our preachers. If you do these things, that's the beginning. If you do these things, I will surely bless you. Good things will come to you like rain falling from the sky. You will have more than enough of everything. You will have more than enough of everything." Someone listening to this message this season, God will bless you so much that you will have more than enough of everything.
One of the things you must note is that you can be experiencing open heavens while others are coping with closed heavens. It happened for Isaac in Genesis 26. So, this issue of obedience of God's word is so key. And unfortunately, in these times of social media, we hear all kinds of things. People that are empty, they make so much noise on social media. People that have no relationship with God will speak on sensitive issues that has to do with doctrines in the church. I've heard people say, and a lot of motivational speakers will come and tell you, you know, "Be your own boss. You can never be rich working for someone." Who told you that? Just two days ago, I was watching Bloomberg, it's one of my favorite channels, and I saw it being flashed intermittently how a senior officer engaged by a particular bank was paid $178 million as a bonus for the year 2023. $178 million as a bonus for just one year. And someone who understands nothing will boldly come out and tell you, "You can never be rich walking somewhere." You can own a community bank and you are not a millionaire, whereas someone can just be walking with a big commercial bank and the person is far more wealthy than the owner of a community bank.
Now, listen to this: evidence of open heavens. Evidence of open heavens. Anytime God announces open heavens, something must happen. Happen. Something must happen subsequently. Whenever the Spirit announces open heavens, it will always, always, not sometimes, it will always be followed with physical evidence of what God has released. So, in the moment of open heavens, things will be released by God, and this often brings about favorable results, favorable outcomes. Whether or not your heavens have been opened must be confirmed by your experiences in the physical realm.
For instance, Isaac in Genesis 26, verse 12 to 14. We have to be very careful about this issue of relocation. You all know I am in full support of it, but it doesn't just, it's not a general thing that you just blindly adopt. Relocation is a reset. So, you have to be sure before you take that kind of major decision. Can I also tell you that the relocation that God is expecting certain people to do this time is not in the direction of the majority? I know of some people now that are relocating to Lagos from Abuja, and some people are relocating from Lagos to Abuja. Some people are going to relocate back to Nigeria, and some are relocating to Nigeria for the first time. It's all about what is in line for you. God told Isaac, "Don't relocate to Egypt. I will bless you here." And Isaac obeyed. And then you fast-track to verse 12, and the next thing you will hear is that Isaac did what he sold in that land. So, please, church, we have always been very, very clear on this: faith without works is dead. There is a place for prayers and fasting, and there's a place for action. There's a place for work. You don't just pray and claim prophecies and do nothing. You must offer a product. You must offer some kind of service. You must be doing something that you will be paid for, you will be rewarded for.
Isaac, having been blessed of God, now decided to do certain things, and that is the channel that God used to provide the world. He sold in that land. He was also heavily into cattle rearing. He was digging up wells, and God was giving him success in all of these things. The next person. So, you see something interesting about Isaac. Isaac experienced open heavens when every other person was experiencing closed heavens and famine. So, obedience is very key. People are complaining, but you will be succeeding and prospering.
In just Genesis chapter 41, you see the example of Joseph. Genesis 41:37-46. Can I tell you this? All the terrible things that happened to Joseph, all the terrible things that happened to Joseph in his lifetime, they all ended on this day. From this day till Joseph died, it was he was consistently operating in open heavens for the rest of his life. For the rest of his life. And take note of this: when the heavens were opened for Joseph, it wasn't only him. He benefited his entire family. His entire family was taken care of when the heavens were opened unto him, but he benefited his entire family.
Another person that experienced open heavens, because as you listen to these examples, it becomes clearer to you what God has in mind for you this season, was a woman called Hannah in 1st Samuel chapter 2, verse 20 to 21. This woman made a vow that if God will give her just one child, a boy, that she's going to hand him back to God. And when she fulfilled her vow, it was not her praying now. It was the man of God praying on her behalf. There are certain things some of you have done, and you have done it so perfectly that the leadership of this commission has made certain blessings and pronouncements over your life. From this moment, you are going to experience the physical manifestation. What she was not even asking for, God gave it to her. What she was not even dreaming of, God gave it to her. And the Lord gave unto Hannah three sons and two daughters. This is in addition to Samuel. Meanwhile, Samuel grew up in the service of the Lord. Open heavens, open heavens, open heavens. And one of the things you observed is that all the friends of Hannah that had conceived, that had had children, that were married, and they all had children, and she used to look at them and she felt bad. With the six children she suddenly had, now you would discover that she had more children than those all those friends and contemporaries.
So, what's the Holy Spirit saying? You've heard this again. As God leads you now into your season of open heavens, you are going to catch up and overtake. You will catch up and overtake. And Jesus Himself experienced open heavens. He experienced open heavens. Open heavens sometimes marks the beginning of a phase. It's the beginning of a phase. So, it's not as if you had committed some things, you had done certain things wrong, and as such, the heavens were closed. No. Sometimes open heavens implies you have entered into a new phase in your walk with God, in God's plan and purpose for your life. Luke 4:13-22. Now, go and check your records in the scriptures. Before this time, He had not yet received the anointing and the power of the Holy Spirit. But from this moment, the heavens were opened, and something followed. There was an outpouring of God's anointing upon Him. No wonder in Acts chapter 10:38, Acts 10:38, Good News Translation, it says, "You know about Jesus of Nazareth and how God poured out on Him." There is going to be, there is something that God is about to pour out. There's something that God is about to release. There's something that God is about to impact. How God poured out on Him the Holy Spirit and power. Can somebody say power? Yeah. He went everywhere doing good. He went everywhere doing good, healing all who were under the power of the devil, for God was with Him.
So, open heavens leads to an experience of the physical manifestation of God's promise, God's blessing, or God's reward. In Genesis 8:22, it said, "For every good seed, for every good seed that you have sown, and it is blessed and acknowledged of God, there will subsequently be a time to reap your harvest." Because Genesis 8:22 will tell us that seed time and harvest time shall never cease. So, once you have sown a seed through series of obedience, steps of obedience to certain divine instructions, a time will come when God will pronounce His blessing, acknowledge all you have been doing, and then a time will be fixed by God for you to eventually reap the blessings of your obedience. Open heavens marks the time for the physical manifestation of the expected promises, harvest, blessing, or reward. Many benefits come once it's your time of open heavens. It will bring you success. Let heaven hear your amen. For some of you, it will bring victory. For some of you, it is going to bring fruitfulness and fruitful results. God will enable you to reap the rewards of your obedience. God will enable some of you to reap the physical results of His blessings for your life. Praise ye the Lord.
