Hello. So this video is not sponsored, and yeah, just keep that in mind. This is Ceria, and this is not Ceria. We all know the famous, or inFAMOUS, Japanese-Italian restaurant called Ceria, and everyone loves it because they serve decent food at a reasonable price. But today, I found this new restaurant that may have been slightly inspired by Ceria. This is Milan—I have no idea how to pronounce it—and they're also a very affordably priced Japanese-Italian restaurant. It's located at Junction 8 in Bishan, and today I'm going to be trying it out and see how it compares to Ceria.
Are you guys open? Yeah, I have one. Okay, okay. So, off the bat, the way you order is the same as Ceria, which is through the phone. So that's why I did immediately when I got my table. The menu offers a variety of pasta dishes, as well as rice, seafood, hot plates, and, of course, the side dishes. I ordered one rice bowl, one hamburger patty, and a pasta, and the total amounted to $31, which is not too bad. As for the drink situation, it is exactly the same as Ceria, where water is free flow, and if you want access to the soft drinks, it is an additional cost. As I went to get my drink, I got a chance to see the restaurant, and it really does look like Ceria, from the color scheme to the design of the chest. I don't know, it just kind of feels like Ceria, but at the same time, it doesn't, because it's kind of a more modern feel.
Within 5 to 8 minutes, my food arrived, and it didn't even take that long, honestly. But waiting times may vary because I was the only one in the restaurant at that time. I think I ordered way too much. I'm going to see if I can finish this. Okay, we shall start off with the pasta. First impressions: it looks better than Ceria. Let's just try it out. Oh, it smells really good, and I can say that I'm pretty sure someone made fun of me eating pasta. I don't care. Wow, not bad at all. The noodle texture is pretty good, and the flavor is—it's there, not super flavorful, but good enough. Now we have the chicken. Looks really tender, actually. It's pretty dry, and they gave me one piece of lettuce. There was seaweed, but it's completely lost now. The portion size isn't terrible; in fact, it's pretty good for $8. Actually, I take it back, the noodle is a bit hot at the bottom; like, I think it's a bit undercooked, but it's really not bad at all. Is it better than Ceria? Probably not. The one I really like in Ceria is like some garlic one—that one's really good. So I think I'm going to rate this a 6 and 1/2 upon 10. Not bad for the price, but it could do better.
Next, we have this beef bowl. Hold on, let me just show it to—it looks good. Oh, oh, oh wow. Oh wow. Okay, okay. Damn, it actually looks really good. I forgot the price of this; I'm just going to put it here. Off the bat, it really looks way more appetizing than the pasta. Dam. Wow, that's really good. Wo wo. Okay, okay. Wo. Okay. I did not expect that. The beef taste is very, very strong, and it's so flavorful. The rice is perfect, and the cheese just brings the whole thing together. It's actually really good. I think it's way better than the pasta. I think this is the first one I can say that is better than Ceria's one, comparing from the one I tried at Ceria the last time. This is definitely way better. It's actually so good. I'm going to give it like a 9 out of 10. Please try this when you come here. By the way, let me show you the view from here. There's actually no view. All right, let's move on to the last one. Wow, the restaurant's actually getting quite a lot of customers right now. This is the beef hamburger, and it actually comes with fries. It's not like the potatoes at Ceria. I actually haven't tried the one at Ceria before, so I can't really compare, but I'm just going to compare it to the other hot plates I had before.
All right, guys, this is a very weird position. Let's try the chips first. Mmm, well, that's really good. It's crispy and surprisingly very flavorful. Mmm, and we have some corn over here—very sweet—and some egg. All right, now it's time to try the beef itself. I left it on the table for a while, so let's hope that the flavor did not get muddled. Mmm, wow, that is really good. It's so juicy, it's tender, and the beef taste is so strong, and this sauce—I have no idea what it is—but it's sweet and salty; it goes well together. I think this is really a good buy, but for $10, uh, I would rather get something else, but it's really good. Oh, look, I found the best part of the fries—so very crispy. One—I just—I just spilled water into my—into my rice. Okay, as for taste, I think this one tastes the best, but if I were to factor in the price as well, it's going to be an 8 out of 10 for me. I don't think I would pay $10 for this again, but if you really like a beef hamburger without any buns, it's a good bite.
Okay, guys, so I've tried every dish already: pasta, rice, and a hot plate. I'm not going to get a pizza; okay, this video is going to be over budget. So, if I have to rank them, this will be number one, this will be number two, and that will be number three. Now I think about it, this one is not that good, but it is the cheapest, so maybe if you don't like strong flavors, then I think you'll like this one. Now it's time for the hard part, which is to finish everything. I think I can do it. [Music] It. [Music] I'm done. I seriously cannot eat anymore already. But overall, they all tasted pretty good, and I'm going to say it is worth the price, except this one. I feel like this one could be a little bit cheaper. Now let's go see what the damage is. The answer is yes; I would come back here, but I wouldn't really voluntarily choose this place to eat at. If my family or friends decided to eat here, then sure, I'll go along with it, but it's definitely not a place that I will choose.
