If you've clicked on this video, chances are you are in the most critical stage for your business marketing. Maybe you already have your app built, or maybe you have a great idea for an app, but you're not quite sure how you're going to take it to market and get hundreds of thousands of users. And I get it; I've been there. Marketing is by far the toughest challenge when it comes to building an app or any SaaS business. But luckily for you, I've grinded it up for over two years marketing my mobile app, marketing my SaaS. I have tried everything, and I've broken it down into a simple four-step process that you can literally copy to market your project. This exact process allowed me to scale my mobile app to over $30,000 in monthly recurring revenue, and the best part is it costs absolutely nothing to start.

Before we jump into it, I just want to say I have absolutely nothing to sell you. I'm simply going to show you exactly how I marketed my mobile app, generated 500,000 users, and grew my monthly recurring revenue to over $30,000. If you watch this video all the way through until the end, I guarantee that you will have the skills and knowledge to market your mobile app, your SaaS, whatever product you have, and get results like mine. This video is part two in the series. In part one, I showed you exactly how I build mobile apps from scratch without knowing how to code at all. I didn't write a single line of code, so if you haven't checked out part one, definitely go check that out; a link will be above me. Last thing I'll say: thank you so much to everyone who's been subscribing recently. We're at 4,400 subscribers; it means the absolute world that you guys are enjoying the videos. Please consider subscribing; it keeps me motivated to make more content just like this. So with that being said, let's get into it.

Before we jump into things, I just want to show proof here, show that I'm not capping. Uh, we have indeed done $30,000 in revenue over the last 30 days, a little bit over $1,000 per day on average. Um, and then you can see the last 90 here; we have done close to $80,000 in sales. So this does work; this is real recurring revenue. This is why I always preach on SaaS type business models or app type business models because this business model can truly give you financial freedom, location freedom, time freedom. This is recurring revenue, and you know the best part about this type of business is you don't really have to put that much work in day-to-day once the app is built and once you know how to run the marketing engine that I'm going to show you in this video. So again, stick around, and I will show you how to get results like this. All right, so let's jump into it now. This is a simple four-step process, starting with organic marketing.

We're going to show you how to market your app on TikTok and other short-form platforms: Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. We're going to teach you exactly how to make great videos that convert on these platforms because you can get a ton of views; that's amazing, but if no one's downloading your app, that's a problem. So we're going to show you how to make great videos; we're going to show you how to optimize the paywall on your app. This is crucial; you can be getting a ton of downloads, but if no one's purchasing anything on your app or no one's purchasing your subscription, that's no good either, right? We're going to show you how to scale with paid ads, and then finally, at the end of all this, I'm going to show you this new platform that I've been working on that will allow you to do all of this so much easier. So be sure to stick around to the end there.

So if we start with organic marketing, this is the key to starting your marketing with zero. This is how you find your audience; this is how you find product-market fit with your app. I highly recommend that you start with organic marketing for your app because it is the lowest cost way for you to get your app out there and get your app in front of people. So for my Puff Count, the one I just showed you that's doing $30,000 a month, we have a TikTok account that has 120,000 followers. We've been making content on this page for close to two years now. As you can see, we've developed a great formula; these videos are consistently getting above 10, 20,000 views; some of these, you know, 5.1 million here, 1.3 million here, 7.6 million here. And this may look overwhelming to you, and you might be like, "Hey, I don't even know where to start on TikTok." I'm telling you, it is so much easier than you could possibly think. My, my entire success on TikTok all comes down to one thing and one thing only, and that is market research.

I'm going to show you exactly how you can do market research, how you can look up your niche and your keywords on TikTok, see the videos that are going the most viral in those niches within those keywords, and then all you have to do is really replicate those styles to win. So what you're going to do is open your phone, go to TikTok, go to the search; my niche is quit vaping. Right, vaping is a weird keyword on TikTok; TikTok doesn't like that keyword very much, so I'm going, I'm going to type in quit puff, and then what I'm going to do is tap to the three dots in the top right, go to filters, sort by like count, video category, all, date posted, all, and then hit apply. And what this will do is it will show you the most liked videos within this keyword of all time. So you're going to scroll through here, pick 25 to 50 videos that you like, that you think you can recreate, that have a ton of likes, throw them into a spreadsheet, and analyze these videos. Understand what they're doing well in their hook; how are they capturing attention in the first three seconds? What's the storyline? How are they presenting their product with a call to action? Study this, and then after you study the top 50 videos, you'll understand trends, and you'll understand what type of content goes viral within your niche. This is your market research; this is exactly what I did to build my TikTok account to 120,000 followers, 50 million views. This is all I did; I did market research; I understood what was going viral on TikTok, and I made more of that content for my audience.

For example, I saw that public interviews were going extremely, extremely viral on TikTok, so that's exactly what I did, right? I made public interviews for my app, for my content, and I started posting those. There's also simple videos; you don't have to be in public interviewing people; your videos don't have to be super complex. A lot of these I just built in my apartment, like, for example, this video; I found this format through exactly what I just told you, market research. I saw a girl doing this, quitting vaping, dropping her vape in a cup of water, and I recreated the video myself, and it absolutely crushed it; got 21,000 views and probably a couple thousand downloads here. This is where you want to start in marketing your mobile app. You might not go viral right off the bat, but you got to be posting consistently, making content every single day. I committed to posting at least one video every single day on TikTok; that's how I found my audience; that's how I found my format; that's how I found my winning creatives that I then later scaled on paid advertising.

Very last thing I want to say about TikTok, and I want to emphasize this, is do not be afraid as a founder to start doing the marketing yourself. I know, you know, a lot of people come to me and tell me, "I don't ever want to do TikTok; I can't do it; I'm not getting in front of camera." I promise, just trust me, follow the market research that you have done around your brand and start making content. It doesn't have to be super complex, you know, highly produced content; you can just make it in your apartment; that's what I did for a ton of my videos. In organizing your TikTok videos, in every video that you post, you should have a strong hook, a strong storyline or a problem, and then present your product as a solution at the end of it. And I'm going to go break down a couple videos that I did, uh, showing exactly that and showing videos that I, I literally made in my apartment in two minutes, but I followed this formula of hook, problem, storyline, and call to action, and they generated so many downloads for my app. So let's jump into it; I'll show you a couple right now, a couple super easy videos that didn't take me very long at all to make, but they drove insane results to my mobile apps.

So, for example, this one, I had a comment that I replied to; "I didn't know this was in my Puff," right? Super simple video, just taking a part of Puff, and then if we go to the end here, I have a very quick two-second call to action; I'm saying, "This app helps you quit," right? Super easy. There's another one down here; I hopped on a trend, right? This video took me literally 14 seconds to make; 102,000 likes. This video I literally made in my apartment in less than a minute because I was following a trend on TikTok because I did the market research because I knew it was going viral in my niche. This video crushed for me; this video has 1.5 million views. Another good format here is myth-busting, right? Present a problem for people; a lot of people think vapes are healthier than cigarettes; they're not, right? So I spit out the facts here, and then at the end of it, a quick two-second call to action; "This app helps you quit," boom. TikTok is so much easier than you think. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, out there; don't be afraid to take a leap and start making TikTok content. I promise, as a founder, it is one of the most valuable skills you have, and even if you want to hire a creator outside and you don't end up wanting to do this yourself, this is still something that you should know about, right? You don't want to be overpaying for bad content; you want to understand what content is good and how long it takes to make that content. This will make you a better founder overall. Amazing.

So now you know how to market your mobile app; you know how to be on social media platforms, and again, you know, I, I mentioned Instagram Reels here, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts; you can take all your TikTok content, download it onto your phone, and just repost it on all these other platforms. It is so easy to post the same short-form content video everywhere, so I highly recommend you do that. But now let's get into some fun things: the paywall. The paywall is crucial in your mobile app. If you're getting a ton of downloads, but no one's converting on your paywall or no one's paying you in your app, it doesn't matter, right? Like, downloads mean nothing; we want profit. Before we jump into optimizing your paywall, let's break down exactly what a paywall is. You've all seen these on pretty much every mobile app that you download, right? So this is the flow that I have for, for Puff Count, for my mobile app, right? We have the welcome; we have the sign-in here; um, users, you know, can create their profile, and then we have a quick little onboarding where we, we explain the main features of the app itself, and then after the onboarding, they are shown this paywall, which is essentially a place where we explain the value of the app, and the user has a chance to opt into the free trial, or for your paywall, maybe you just want them to pay a one-time fee, whatever it may be. This is the paywall; you've seen them on pretty much, again, every app on the App Store; this is exactly what a paywall is; it's where people pay; it's a wall on your app where people pay.

So with that being said, let's jump into optimizing yours. I'm going to show you the most OP tool in paywall development for mobile apps, and that tool is called Superwall. And what Superwall is is exactly this: you can quickly build and test paywalls without pushing any updates to your app. So your developer can help you with this, or if you know how to do it, you just put in a little piece of code into your mobile app, and then boom, you will be live on Superwall. And Superwall is amazing; I use it all the time here, right? So I'll show you all the paywalls that I have been testing. Superwall allows you to A/B test literally everything from the text up here, right? You know, I have different text; uh, for example, here, "How much do you puff? Track how much you smoke? Track your Puffs? Track your usage?" I'm, I'm A/B testing all this stuff; I'm A/B testing different buttons and everything, and this is how you optimize your onboarding flow into your app. And what you want to do is you want to test out different prices to see which one is the most optimal for you. For example, I have this campaign running right now where I'm testing out the header wording, and if we go to our paywalls here, uh, you can see I'm testing out five different paywalls; 20% of the users go to each different paywall, right? So it's a, it's a true A/B test here, and what Superwall will do is they will show you exactly which one is the winner with, you know, the confidence level here. So this one is the 56% winner; the header, the header text is "Track how much you smoke," so that one is winning by a far margin here. So, you know, this is probably the one that I will end up using on my app full time. I highly recommend Superwall; this is an amazing tool; this will make your life optimizing and, uh, generating the most revenue from your app so much easier. And the last thing that I'll say is hard paywalls are OP, and what a hard paywall is: there are two types of paywalls, right? You have a soft paywall with a little X in the top right corner of your app, right? But you can also have a hard paywall where there's no X, and users either have to pay or opt into your free trial to get to the rest of your app. I've tried the soft paywall; I'm telling you right now, the hard paywall is the way to go; it increased my conversion rate by like 30%, so I would highly recommend you test out a hard paywall on your app.

All right, so now we know how to market our mobile app; we know how to make great content for our mobile app, and we've optimized our paywall for the most profit possible. Now we can get into the really fun stuff: scaling with paid ads. Do not be intimidated by scaling with paid ads. Once you have great organic content on your TikTok, on your Instagram, wherever you're posting it, scaling paid ads becomes so easy. So stick around to the end; I'll warn you, this is going to be very short and very easy because we've already done all of the work here. We already have the marketing content that we're going to upload to paid ads; we already have our onboarding flow; our app is optimized for the paywall, and now simply with paid ads, all we have to do is upload our best-performing TikTok content to paid ads and click run. Like I'm telling you, that's literally all that I do on TikTok ads here. If we go to our campaign here, you can see that we have spent $38,000 over the past couple months here on TikTok ads; we have a 17-cent CPC, $3 CPM, 11 million impressions, right? This is how we have scaled with paid acquisition, and in the same amount of time we started our ads here on December 1st, uh, we have done $100,000 in sales. So you can see that that is a over 2x ROI. We're marketing on Facebook as well, as you can see here; we spent a total of $4,000 on Facebook; we're just kind of getting started on Facebook; we definitely want to diversify the, uh, where we're getting our, our paid traffic from, but TikTok is just so much better; it's so much cheaper at the moment, so we've been concentrating most of our spend there. But I don't really have much to say about the paid ads other than you need to test organically first, like you need to upload content organically on TikTok, and you just upload the best-performing content to paid ads and click run. You don't really need an ad specialist here. I'm going to drop another video breaking down exactly what we do on paid ads and how to optimize these campaigns and how to get, you know, these special events in here, how to get lookalike audiences, and how to further scale your paid ads to get the most bang out of your buck. So be sure to stay tuned for that next video that I drop in this series where I show you exactly how to start with a mobile app and how to scale it to $30,000 every single month. I'm going to be dropping so much value, guys, so be sure to stick around for the next video. But this is pretty much it, like I said; you've already done all the work with the organic marketing, making great content, and optimizing your app, and then all you have to do is upload the content on a PID and click start spending, right? And as long as you've done these things and you put some effort in, you should be in a very good place with paid ads.

Last thing I'll say about the paid ads thing here: it does require a little bit more setup; you need a couple other tools; you need AppsFlyer and you need RevenueCat to effectively track the results of your paid ads. Again, I will be dropping a part three of this video series where I deep dive into paid ads; I'm going to go into the exact strategies that we used on TikTok, on Facebook, how we're optimizing our campaigns there, how exactly I set up our ads tracking with AppsFlyer and with RevenueCat. Be sure to stay tuned for part three, but don't go anywhere cuz I want to unveil this platform that I have been working on that will make organic marketing and making great videos so much easier. So if you are one of those people who's a little bit lazy, right, you don't want to make your own TikToks, you don't want to make your own Reels, this platform is for you. So let's jump into it right now.

So if you've been following along on the video series, you'll recognize that in part one, I use 99 Designs, which is a contest platform where you can upload your designs for your mobile app, and you can get a ton of submissions from designers to find the best UI for your mobile app. What I built here with Posted is essentially the exact same thing, but it's for marketing; it is for TikTok; it is for content. So you as a brand can upload however much you want: $1,000, $5,000, $500, whatever you want; you can upload that money into a contest, and different creators, different TikTok creators will all submit videos in hopes of being the most viral video for your brand where they get the prize. So if you want to check out a little bit more about Posted and you're a little bit lazy, you don't want to make your own content, this is the solution for you; you can go viral with creator contests. The website is called postedapp.com; be sure to click on the "For Brands" side here, and then you can get started for free; you can sign up on the web app and start building a contest for your app. So here's exactly how it works: Step one, you can launch a contest for your mobile app, for your brand, for your SaaS, whatever product you have, right? You build a brief; you can set your budget; you establish rules that the creators have to follow, and you set your target demographic, US, wherever you want them from, and then it's very simple; you sit back and watch the content flow in. And then what creators will do is they will all post submissions for your contest in hopes of getting the most viral video for your project. So the creators will post in mass, and then what you can do is you analyze and scale the top performers; you can choose only the, the number one creator.

To get paid, you can choose the top three, to get paid the top five, the top 10. You, as the brand, get to choose how much the submissions get paid, and then what you can do is you can take all of the winning content, all the best content, and you can upload it to your paid ads, like I said in the previous segment. Or you can learn from these posts; learn what—again, this, this will help you—market research for creating organic content. You can learn what these creators are doing well; maybe hire one that does well in your contest and then work with them forever. Whatever you want to do, you can do anything and everything you want with this content.

And the beautiful thing is, too, each post, each submission for your contest will have its own organic lift. Each one of these creators has to post this content organically on TikTok, so there's a chance that one of those posts could go viral and blow up—uh—your app, your TikTok account. Right? I'm telling you, this platform is going to absolutely change the game. So when you sign up, you'll take a quick call, and then you'll be uh thrown into this dashboard where you can build your contest and get started on posting. So go check it out; I'd really appreciate it. Love feedback. Go check it out.

So that's it. Now your app is going viral on social media. You know how to optimize your paywall. You know how to A/B test your paywalls. You know how to scale with paid ads. If you have any questions for me whatsoever, please send me a DM on Instagram; that is where I'm the most active. I will always get back to you on Instagram. We can take a call; just shoot me a message. I'm happy to answer any question that you have. And be sure to stay tuned for part three, where I break down our exact paid ads strategy.
