I'm going to do a facial clean today. Thing is with these cleaning solutions that I use, these cleaning chemicals, you can kind of mix them up as strong as you need them. They have a recommended dosage and sometimes, uh, sometimes on there, on the label, it will say recommended dosage for heavy soiling and a dosage for light soiling. So, it'll be a different mix.
Um, so you get a feel for it. Because this is a really bad one, I'm going to mix it up nice and strong. Um, the thing to remember with TFR is it's caustic, which means it's abrasive. It's not a problem to use it, but you just want to be a little bit careful. You don't want to leave it on there for too long. You don't want to let it dry out. So, best way to approach it is to wet the surface first with water, then apply the cleaning solution, then wash it down. Uh, after a few minutes, work a smaller section at a time and it should be good.
I'm going to go straight in today with a bit of TFR, traffic film remover. It's nice and strong. I'm going to mix that up in a backpack. Apply the solution. Give it a good scrub. I like to use a soft brush. So, this is a flocked brush. It's a super light seal brush from Gardener. Um, nice and soft. I like this for getting into all the little awkward corners. It's slightly unusual this one that the fascia board is a strange sort of plasticky texture board. It's like a decorative. Let's go. Heat. Heat.
One other thing I just wanted to mention, protective glasses. It's well worth getting some protective glasses. When you're working overhead with a chemical like this, you don't want to get it in your eyes. So, best to be safe. There we go. Turned out pretty good. The fascia along the back cleaned up quite well. You notice, uh, around the joints there can be some discoloration on the plastic, some staining, some water staining, especially around here, we have very hard water. So, I often say that to the customer that there can be some staining even though I'm using a heavy duty cleaning solution. So, yeah, sometimes when they are so dirty and they've been neglected a bit, there can be some discoloration like that. Um, there's not too much you can do about that really, but considering they were so dirty like that at the back, they came up pretty well, I think. Pretty good. So, customers really pleased with it as well. So, nice. Uh, job done.
