So Taurus moon, this is where we have a deep need for stability and safety, and for things to be pretty unmovable. Which you would think, yeah, that's the traditional meaning of the moon. But no, no. We mean it with Taurus moon, it is really about trying to stay put. So physical connections, very important. Touch, sensual contact, beautiful things. Basically, having enough is one of the big needs here, enough of all those things.
They are very sense-based, and there is a slower style of the moon when it comes to changing their patterns. They tend to want to keep those patterns in place, which we all do because of the nature of what the moon is. Just a little bit more exacerbated with this particular placement. There's a particular few styles of the moon that are more loath to let go of their patterns, and some that are wanting to do that. So this is one of those that are wanting to remain.
Stubbornness is often therefore associated with just the sign of Taurus in general, and it's most true when it comes through the moon. So the moon isn't our behavior, our outward behavior. It's our inward behavior, our habitual emotional nature, tied to in this case, comfort through familiar things, foods, familiar objects, familiar sources of physical affection, reliable things. Cancer also has a side that's very much about familiarity, but it's not tied to things or displays like with Taurus moon. It's more tied to the moon - mother.
So if the moon is aspected difficultly, then that shows an issue with getting the needs that I just described that Taurus moon is about met. They can feel untouched, a celibate, materially poor, deprived, have issues with excess as a result in eating or saving of material things. You see a lot of hoarders with a moon coming into Taurus.
The sign a planet occurs in describes the essential style of that planet and what that planet is after, motivated by. So the house that planet falls into, it shows the area of life that that motivation, that need, that want, that style that the sign indicates. The house shows the area of life that that style is rooted in. With that, you know, where that planet is rooted in. The house ruler of that sign that that planet is in shows the other area of life that that house is served by.
Aspects to planets show how successful you are likely to be because it's showing your emotional and mental complexes. That's what aspects are. They're your complexes. So it shows by aspect how successful are you gonna be when it comes to satisfying what the need or the want or the style of that planet in that sign in house is asking for.
So if we have, for example, Taurus moon in the fifth house, the fifth house ruler is Venus. Venus comes through the third in Pisces. So that would be Capricorn ascendant. We see a need for security, stability, and comfort. The moon in this person mainly is gonna be seeking that out through the fifth house. That's how they're going to try to get that. The style of what that need is met through fifth house fun, romance, speculation, grand gestures, attention. That's all going to be facilitated by the third house, which is your communication, how you discern and organize information, mental things, the immediacy of your daily environment, the language and concepts you choose to employ, your opinions, your writing ability, your creative self-expression. That is the vehicle for your sense of belonging and safety comes through how you go about your daily agenda.
So you want to relate to the world through enjoyment of material. It's the enjoyment of material and physical comforts, not like the sixth house, there's perfection of those things, or the seventh, finding those things through other people, the tenth, getting them through through work or through, you know, forming those things that going out and, you know, creating that for yourself and the world seeing that is a long-term goal. So because you want to relate to the world through the senses and enjoyment of material and physical comforts, that's that essential part of your fifth house authentic self-expression. So again, this comes through enjoyment, that's fifth house enjoyment of third house words, wordplay, writing, learning, speaking, how you learn about your, how you communicate your talents. So this would be a wonderful placement for for speaking or for, you know, using the third house as a way to feel like you're expressing yourself here, acting. This is a great place for that to be very clear in your communication there. So there's a, you would to be a variety of things that you could find to you as a third house vehicle for all of this.
So again, material, physical familiarity, stability coming through the house into the house of enjoyment by means of the third house communication, mental things, everyday stuff. So this is how we look at things and the layers. The moon itself, the sign doesn't describe complexes, it just describes us a way of going about a need. So we do tend to lean towards more lazy or self-indulgent behavior patterns when we have Taurus planets falling into one mood or another. Can because this is the moon, this is our moods, it can last longer than in most signs when we're dealing with Taurus. And they tend to want to fight you when they feel negative because they want to stay there. And then you have to let them get their fill because Taurus moon is very much about that indulging until they get their fill. Feeling feeling filled is that's a need for Taurus people. They want to feel like you do after you eat a big meal and you're in a comfortable place and you just sit back and go, oh, your pants. So you can digest at your own pace and drink while you're listening to the music. I'm, you know, maybe all of France or Spain or even Italy has a Taurus moon. This is also something that associated with the with island culture as well, that slower language pace.
Taurus moon children need to be touched, squeezed, patted, hugged. They need that physical land for affirmation. They need to feel that you are a source for providing enough of what they need so they don't feel or develop aspects. They're about, you know, deep even be deprived or hungry. They're gonna have those aspects because we're born with things because time is not a straight line. But you can help them become more self-aware younger by, you know, getting the good stuff out of those hard aspects because that's what they're for. They're to teach you a better way. So deprivation is often a symptom of a harshly aspected Taurus moon, and we want to try to mitigate that.
Emotional complacency is something again that they can went to indulge in. And indulgence is the key word for Taurus moon. If they feel like can't indulge or be indulged, then that can translate to them feeling that their needs aren't being met, and then they can then feel insecure, destabilized, moody. They have to have that, you know, that full feeling. Taurus moon people want to find something that satisfies them and then drop off the end of the world with it. Predictability is something that Taurus moon people actually do seek out. That's their style to know what's coming next. It's like regular meals. So they're set to a slower, more languid pace. And again, perhaps more island cultures or Mediterranean cultures have a Taurus moon, or think of the Caribbean or the Caribbean, however you want to say it. There's no right way to say it, maybe there is, I just don't know what it is.
So when you want to understand a Taurus moon, let's like if island culture, warm beaches, rich food, it's a lot of abundance, not too many clothes, a slow pace, things get done when they get done, island life, that's the Taurus moon. So I hope this explained a lot of what is lying at the base of what these people are about.
And Gemini moon next.
