You know that in 1977, scientists detected a mysterious signal from space that many believed could be alien. The signal lasted for about 72 seconds. It was so powerful that nothing like it had ever been detected before. For a moment, it seemed as if someone had deliberately sent a message toward Earth.
Scientists were so shocked by this discovery that they named it the WOW signal. What made it even stranger was that the signal was detected near the hydrogen frequency, the same frequency often used in scientific space communication.
Even more mysterious, the signal appeared to come from thousands of light years away. Scientists were left wondering who or what could have sent it from such a vast distance. And the most unsettling part, the signal was never detected.
