A lot of people don't even realize how much power they have over our over their own lives. You know, you'll hear people complain about things like in in magic sometimes when you go, you know, towards Gnosticism and things like that, you'll hear people talk about, you know, "Oh, like the world is a prison system and we're being controlled by the Archons." And all that may very well be true, but did the Archons prevent you from getting out of bed and doing some sit-ups this morning? Or reading a book? Or going outside and enjoying the day instead of, you know, doom scrolling for 5 straight hours on your phone? We have tremendous ability to shape, not just shape our own realities, but shape our own worlds.
>> Welcome. Welcome to the Reality Revolution. I am so excited. I've been beyond excited all weekend to finally talk to the one and only Damien Echols. I've been trying to talk to him for years now. My guest today has walked through a kind of darkness most of us will never have to face and came out the other side as one of the most compelling voices in all of literature, an amazing writer and a great, an incredible voice in modern magic.
Damien Echols spent nearly 18 years on death row as one of the West Memphis 3, wrongfully convicted, much of it in solitary confinement. Inside that cell, he didn't just survive; he built a spiritual practice that transformed him. Since his release in 2011, he's become a New York Times best-selling author and a leading teacher of high magic, ceremonial ritual, and the alchemy of turning suffering into power. He is the author of Life After Death, High Magic, Angels and Archangels, and Ritual, and he has an amazing new book that we're going to talk about, The Alchemy of the Broken Blade.
I am so honored to introduce you to the one and only Damien Echols. Thank you. Thank you, my brother, for joining me.
>> Thank you for having me here. After that introduction, I'm scared that anything I say is going to be a let down now.
>> Well, for for the people that don't know your story, I've been following you since I was a kid. Um, I've been following you because I felt like I was you when you were going through what you were going through. And I was just utterly shocked. I'm sitting here with my library, you know, I got I got my Aleister Crowley books, I got my magic books. I I'm thinking, "Oh my god, could you imagine if if all of a sudden people start judging me for the books I own?"
>> Yeah, what you just said, that's the exact reason why so many people like came to our rescue is because they looked at the situation and realized that could have just as easily been me.
>> Exactly. I mean, I'm just going I'm just going, "This this can't be the truth." I I it's watching this this ridiculous thing play out. And it becomes very obvious, uh, if people want to watch, there's been several documentaries, a full movie made about your story, that which has got to be odd to be living in this world. Um, and you probably weren't even aware of what people were saying or talking about or those documentaries 'cuz you're behind the scenes in solitary confinement.
>> Yes.
>> Yes.
>> Um, and so you were...
>> Still, you know, I would also say that, still to this day, I have zero interest in those things.
>> Yeah, I would I get that 100%. It's a revised past that doesn't exist anymore, right?
>> I knew a guy one time that was about to be executed, and they came and got him and took him over to what they call the death house where they carry out the executions. And at the last minute he got a stay of execution, and they brought him back over there where the rest of us were. And a few days later we go out on the yard and we're talking, and he says, "Yeah, when they carried me over there and I thought I was about to die." He said, "My whole life flashed before my eyes, but I didn't watch it 'cuz it was a rerun." And that's how I felt kind of like looking back at documentaries and movies and all that. It's like, I was there. I don't need to, you know, see it or...
>> Right.
>> ...any of that. Yeah.
>> And at the time that happened, I relate to you because that's the time we're just learning. We're just craving knowledge. We're going to go and find and anything that's unusual or hard to come by, or things that people say, "Hey, this is dangerous." I want to read it. I'm going to read anything that's, you know, that's the so they find your books and they're judging you by the books, which some of those you might not have even gotten a chance to read yet, right?
>> Exactly. I mean, some of them were like some of them were like public library books.
>> Right.
>> Others were Stephen King novels.
>> Stephen King novels, right?
>> Yes. Yeah, that was considered once that I was dark and twisted.
>> Right. So, what what what I think the reason your story is so profound is I'm constantly trying to teach people that they can create their reality. We're in a new age of magic. Magic is different than it used to be. And and my assertion is, no matter where you're at, no matter what you're doing, if you're in the poorest situation, if you're in a war-torn country, no matter what your surrounding environment is telling you. No matter how much money you have in the bank. No matter how lonely you are. You have the power to change everything, and nobody can show an example more than that than you. So, you were put in a situation where you're told, "Hey, you're going to die." And you're by yourself, and you you had no choice but to begin meditating, to to learn about magic. So, take us through that journey. Right now in the world that's just no matter what people are doing, no matter what their situation, how difficult it is. And no matter what how much money they have in the bank, people can look out in the world and say, "Oh, my my life sucks. It's never going to be better because of what I see around me."
>> Yes.
>> And and we can overcome that, right?
>> Yes, absolutely. And and it's one of those things where a lot of people don't even realize how much power they have over our over their own lives. You know, you'll hear people complain about things like in in magic sometimes when you go, you know, towards Gnosticism and things like that, you'll hear people talk about, you know, 'Oh, like the world is a prison system and we're being controlled by the Archons.' And all that may very well be true, but did the Archons prevent you from getting out of bed and doing some sit-ups this morning? Or reading a book? Or going outside and enjoying the day instead of, you know, doom scrolling for 5 straight hours on your phone? We have tremendous ability to shape, not just shape our own realities, but shape our own worlds.
That was what saved my life, not only when I was in, but also whenever I I got out. You know, when I first arrived in prison, a guy that would eventually be executed, he he told me, he said, "You can either turn this place into a monastery and work on yourself, or you can sit in here and you can go insane like the rest of these people are doing." And that was what I did. I turned my cell into a monastery.
And, you know, people don't understand this a lot of times because it is a a hellish environment, a hellish situation, especially when you know you're not even supposed to be there in the first place. But by the time I walked out of prison, I didn't even think about the fact that I was in prison anymore. You know, I would spend entire entire days would go by, like 3, 4 days when I didn't even think about the fact that I was in prison. Because I had created a world for myself where I continued to grow and explore and and work on myself in every way that I could possibly do, and that was what I kept my attention focused on.
But then skip ahead when when I get out, you know, what I did in there was kind of like think of prison as almost like a void, you know, especially when you're in solitary confinement. There is no structure. You know, noon is the same as midnight. Christmas is the same as the 4th of July. You're just in this vacuum. And unless you feel that feel that vacuum with something like constructive and productive ways of working on yourself, then you are going to degenerate and deteriorate and eventually fall apart.
Well, I built that structure for myself when I was in prison to help me deal with pain and horror and trauma and all of those things. Whenever I got out, that was when the real destruction began. You know, getting out of prison was if anything just as difficult as going into prison. Only now I had to find ways not to cope with with pain and trauma, uh, not in the same way, but I had to figure out ways to cope with pleasure and distraction because those are the things that swallow our lives out here. And I had never been exposed any of the, you know, I grew up absolutely, you know, poverty-stricken, you know, when I was in Arkansas, my family didn't have any money to even do things like go to movies or, you know, any of that kind of stuff. So, now that I was able to do those things, I wanted to do those things all the time. Which is fine, you know, we should do things like that. But, what happens if you don't have that structure is you eventually begin to deteriorate and fall apart, which was what happened to me whenever I got out of prison. And I realized I have to do the same thing out here that I did in there. Like, I I figured out when I was in there how to not just survive, but thrive and grow. I realized I have to do that out here as well. And it took me a few years to do that, but that was that was the beginning of what I considered to be the like deepest and most profound period of healing in my life. Like, after I got out of prison when I needed it even more than when I went in.
>> So, I've been teaching my school group, the group that I have. One of the things that we've been teaching is the banishing ritual. So, you are the master of the banishing ritual. You're somebody that really, uh, I think made an innovation that has changed everything. I've been I've been doing the banishing ritual as soon as I read it from, you know, Dion Fortune's, um, Psychic Self-Defense. But then you added Metatron and Sandalphon into the equation and you talk about it in your book. You you you you suddenly realized, "Oh, oh, there's this three-dimensional change that's suddenly happening." So, explain, first of all, for people that maybe don't know, explain your experience with the banishing ritual, how that was important in your process, and the sort of expansion that you brought to...
>> So, you know, this is like the foundation of of Western hermeticism, esotericism, ceremonial magic, like the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. It's like learning a formula, and once you learn this formula, you can expand on it and use it in all these different ways.
Uh, but a lot of people don't realize or think about things like, you know, say for example, one of the the greatest treasures that we have in modern times, which was Israel Regardie's The Golden Dawn, whenever he published that. But we we forget sometimes that that was not the entirety of. That was basically like Cliff Notes. As thick as that book is, it's kind of like Cliff Notes because he had teachers and instructors and mentors and everything else teaching him this stuff, and he's just keeping like the bare bones of what he needs to keep, you know, he doesn't expand on a lot of this stuff. For example, one of those things is that we're not just looking at a two-dimensional thing whenever we're looking at like the illustrations and the directions that teach us how to to do these things. They're meant to be three-dimensional in the real world.
And it took me a while. I I think in a lot of ways, you know that phrase people say sometimes like, "If you take one step towards God, God will take three towards you." I think in magic [clears throat], if you don't understand something, like if you're reading one of these rituals or something and you're like, "I do not get this. I can't picture this in my head." But if you keep doing it anyway, not just reading it, not just talking about it or watching videos about it, but if you get up and you start doing it every day, something's going to click into place and you're going to be like, "Oh, that's what I'm supposed to be doing. That's the way it works." That was kind of what happened with me with the expansions on it. So, I started to think, "Okay, I'm, you know, for me the the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, one of the reasons it was so important is because we take in energy from everything and everyone around us all the time without even realizing..."
>> All the time.
>> Well, I'm in an environment with two to 3,000 people who have committed some of the most heinous murders and every other kind of crime you can think of on the face of the earth. I did not want that energy getting into me, changing me, shaping me, or affecting me in any way. So, I would do like the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Hexagram, Rose Cross, Middle Pillar. Those four rituals, it was non-negotiable every single day, four times a day. Period.
Part of it was just that that kind of cleanliness. But, I started to think about how like this doesn't make sense to me. You know, I'm drawing this ring of light around the room that's supposedly to protect me, right? But, why couldn't something just come over, or why couldn't it come under? You know, why would it see this line and be like, "Oh, can't go over there. There's a line protecting this guy." Something clicked into place and I realized like this is supposed to be closed so that nothing comes over, and nothing comes under, any of that any of that sort of thing.
And I started to think about how how can I do this? One thing in particular, I think one of the most important things is closing the sphere. Like whenever you start to feel get a real feel for energy, what I started to do is I would reach out with my eyes closed and I would kind of hook my fingers into that ring of light that circled the room, and I would start pulling it up, stretching it up, and close it above my head. And then I would do the same thing, pull it down and close it beneath my feet.
And I I thought, well, we've got these four angels all around us and everything in magic is about balance, right? We're balancing, we're balancing, you know, balancing all the different spheres that represent different energies on the tree of life, balancing the elements, all this stuff. So, I thought, how can I do this in a way that's going to bring even more balance to it? You've already got the four elements. The other aspect of balance would be heaven and earth. So, heaven, you bring in Metatron, the Archangel of Kether, and earth, you bring in Sandalphon, the Archangel of Malkuth. And you put those above and below. So, you've got these completely balanced energies all around you in every direction protecting you, you know, from, you know, above, below...
>> Mhm.
>> ...any direction anything could possibly come.
>> It's a game changer. You tell share with my group your experience of seeing Metatron. So, you know, you actually saw Metatron when you did that a few times, right?
>> Well, eventually what the the first time I ever saw something, it would have been Zadkiel, the Archangel of Binah. And so, you know, I think everybody goes through the stage in the beginning when you first start practicing magic where you are asking yourself, "Is anything really happening here or not?" You know, "Is this just mental masturbation or is something really taking place here?"
And I started after after I realized, "Oh, you can add more angels to this, Sandalphon and Metatron," I started thinking, "Then I'm going to add the other angels from the tree of life." So, I started I there's eight more. I started putting them in all four corners, in between the four cardinal directions, two more above, and two more below. Whenever you start doing that, it is like pouring jet fuel on this process.
Like people people still have this like really superstitious kind of way of understanding this stuff. Like they think if you can invoke this angel and you can perceive that it's there, then it's a it's actually an angel. Like it's what we read about in the Bible as an angel. What in actuality what is happening is we have faculties that allow us to perceive and interact with other levels of reality just like our physical senses allow us to, you know, operate in the physical world. We can hear, we can see, we can touch, we can taste, that sort of thing. We have like mirrors of those faculties in our energetic system, but for most people they are completely withered up, not working, atrophied. It's like somebody who has never done a day of any kind of exercise in their entire life.
What happens the more you do this, the more, uh, you're you're starting to work with those things, use those things. What happens is you start to perceive on these other levels of reality. So, I'm invoking all of these angels, suddenly there's no way that I could ever put this I could ever articulate this into words, but I knew suddenly to the core of my being there's something here. Like I now know this is not just me playing mind games with my with myself. There is something in this cell. And if I would have not been locked in that cell, I would have probably ran.
Because there is a difference in believing in something and experiencing something. You can believe in things all you want, but whenever you come face-to-face with something, it changes you to the core of your being. In that one moment, I realized and understood I don't know about reality, about how this world works, about what I'm doing with the stuff. Like this is real. Something is happening here and it lit a fire even though it was kind of terrifying. You know, it's why in the Bible every time an angel appears to somebody, it says, "Be not afraid." Because it's scaring them. Because it's something that changes you to the foundation of your being. But, it also makes you hungry. It makes you want more. It makes you want to know, "Okay, if I if everything I've been told about the nature of reality my entire life is, you know, half true at best, then what else is out there? What else don't I understand? What else don't I know?" And it lit a fire in me to understand this stuff that just consumed me for years.
>> Mhm. The it's in interesting going back and reading about the history of magic. And with the thing that really struck me when I read The Confessions of Aleister Crowley. Now, I haven't shared as much in my group because whenever I even mention historically, I might I I I did this I did an episode on Dion Fortune and I mentioned, you know, she she actually interacted with Aleister Crowley, I get comments. People are freaking out. Like, "Brian, what are what are you doing talking about Aleister Crowley?" It's obviously a very triggering, um, issue for people to talk about him. Some of his stuff is mean. You know, there's there's a certain like meanness to some of his writing, but it's also just completely fascinating. The life that he lived and the things that he'd done. What is your perspective on Aleister Crowley?
>> I think he's I think he served a purpose. You know, a lot of times in modern-day magic, when people hear about magic, that's usually going to be the first name they hear of. You know, before you ever hear of McGregor Mathers or Dion Fortune or any of those things, you're probably going to hear of Aleister Crowley. So, I think he provides like a entryway for people who are, uh, just not happy with what they've been given their entire lives, you know, like their parents' religion or their society's religion. And they feel kind of I don't I don't necessarily mean this in a bad way, but I don't know how to say it. I think he appeals to people who are kind of in that state, no matter what age they are, of teenage rebellion. And you know, most...
>> Teenage rebellion?
>> A lot of people never leave that.
>> He was essentially that, a teenage rebel, right?
>> Yes, exactly. Yes. So, I think he served a purpose, but I don't think the average person can even understand what he's written until you've spent a long, long time, like for not only practicing the ritual work, but like reading everything you need to read and having all the life experiences you need to have and everything else before you even have the key to unlock what he's talking about. So, I don't Generally speaking, I don't recommend him to people, either.
>> Right.
>> Yeah. To to anybody. And And not even necessarily because of like the dark, you know, gothy thing surrounding him, but I just don't think most people are going to get very much out of it. And I think he was deliberately provocative sometimes, like writing in a way where he knew it was going to be deliberately triggering to certain people.
>> Which did a disservice to magic, I think largely for several decades, because he got associated with magic in general. I I'd love to get your your your, um, as I did a deeper dive on Enochian magic and learned about John Dee and Edward Kelley. And Edward Kelley was sort of this dude that was a sort of a, uh, scamming John Dee, at least it appeared that he was that, you know, he he's like, "Uh, you got..." He's like reading the the the scry. He's like, "Um, and you have to let me sleep with your wife," like I said at one point. So, there's some questions about Enochian magic, but I know you've done a lot of work on angels and archangels. So, what's your perspective on...
>> To me, it's one of those things, kind of like Crowley, to be honest, I'm not really super fond of it just because like the Golden Dawn system of magic, you know, like with all the Hebrew and all the familiar stuff, like all the pentagrams and everything. There's something very familiar about it, you know, there's something warm about it, you know, we're working with Archangels and we're vibrating Hebrew names of God and all these different things. When you get into Enochian, to me it always just felt very cold and detached and pulled away. It It is an effective system. There is, um, Have you ever read that book by Jason Louv called, uh, John Dee and the Empire of Angels?
>> I got to put it on my list.
>> Highly highly recommend it. He I mean, this is a thick thick book. It's like a phone book, but he goes into every aspect of their lives and it's kind of mind-blowing like the impact that he had on culture and society. Like like you know, John Dee was the original 007, James Bond.
>> Right.
>> He was, you know, like a spy for the queen. But the reason I say I don't like to talk about a a lot of these things anymore just because I used to. I used to talk about them all the...
>> Yeah, yeah.
>> The more you talk about woo woo...
>> Help help to ask you though.
>> The problem became I think the more people completely abandon anything that's that's logical and realistic and is actually helpful in the physical world and they use the woo woo aspects of this stuff as escapism, which is I think that happens more often than than we realize. But I have to talk about the woo woo a little bit here. I have to...
>> I'm all about the woo woo.
>> Okay.
>> ...a woo woo safe place.
>> Okay. You know, when you're advancing up the tree, if you look at either, you know, the like, uh, the other system that Crowley Crowley was notorious for being part of the AA, or if you look at the Golden Dawn, um, you know, the grade structure system of both of these systems, if you go deeply into it, what you find is there is a task associated with a task or an experience that's associated with each sphere on the tree of life as we're making our way up it that lets you know that that's where you are. Like think of it as a map and these experiences are like mile markers that show you where you are on the map.
And in the beginning stages like the lower rungs from Tiphereth on down, it's it's like these things, you know, Tiphereth is where it starts to get interesting like with the attaining the knowledge and conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel that sort of stuff. But in the lower spheres, it's basically read these books, read these knowledge lectures, learn this history, learn these rituals, do these rituals over and over every day, all of that sort of stuff. It's like things that you do. You have to consciously deliberately make a choice to do these things.
When you start getting up towards the higher spheres on the tree, that's not necessarily the case. It's things that are going to happen that you aren't particularly in control of and don't have a lot of influence over. So, one of these things is there is a particular grade on the tree where you to use language other people have used, you receive a word. What this word like Crowley's word was Thelema. And and different like like, uh, all all of these these teachers that we remember probably had a word in one way or another. But you know, like like just for example Moses, you know, the the patriarch of the Old Testament or or Moses in the Bible, his word would have been, you know, YHVH, the unpronounceable name of God.
>> Oh God, right.
>> Uh, everybody gets a word if you make it to this certain stage. And what this word is is like the culmination of everything you have learned, everything you've experienced, your understanding of things all compressed and compiled everything you've learned and everything you have to teach compressed into a single word. Like for Crowley, Thelema.
>> Mhm.
>> The word that I received, and this is what I mean about the woo-woo stuff. I hate I honestly this I I hate talking about this 'cuz it sounds...
>> It It We We love it. We love it.
>> The word I received was Lil. L I L. I had no idea what that meant. Never seen it before. Never heard of it. Nothing. Made no sense to me whatsoever. I started doing research trying to figure out what does this even mean. One of the things I came across was that in Enochian magic using using this system essentially, you know, like when we're doing, uh, like Golden Dawn style magic, they basically separate reality into 10 different levels or 10 different layers that each correspond to spheres on the tree of life.
>> Mhm.
>> In Enochian, it's separated into 30 ethers. And each of these ethers have a different name. What I came across was that the absolute highest ether in the Enochian system before you pass into just pure divinity was called Lil. L I L.
>> So...
>> Yes. So it was like the highest level of heaven before you're just in the void in nothingness. I came across all kinds of other things like, uh, one of the things that most people who even people who are into Crowley a lot of times haven't heard was he started another organization, uh, that's not nearly as popular as like the OTO or the AA or any of that, but it was called the Light of the Invisible Lamp. L I L.
>> L I L?
>> Yeah.
>> And I started to find it like traces of this word all throughout all of these different periods of history and different systems of magic and all of this kind of stuff where it finally made it click into place and made sense. Like like put it in context. And I forget why I'm even talking about this. Like what what we're talking about is Enochian.
>> ...it.
>> Yes. Enochian, yeah.
>> I thought it was very, very odd that I the only thing I know about Enochian up until that point was the the small amount of it that you do whenever you're doing the supreme invoking ritual of the pentagram. You know, where you're doing not you're vibrating not just the Hebrew names, but now you're doing Enochian and Hebrew names together. That's the full extent up until that time period of my, um, knowledge of it or or experience with it or anything else. Uh, but I found it, you know, it's just one of those things that when you hear that like, "Lil, Lil is the highest level of of this this system," you realize this this isn't just coincidence. You know, I can't prove this to anybody. You know, there's nothing I could ever show that's going to to concretely prove that even what I'm saying right now is true. But when you have that experience, it makes you realize, you know, once again, "Oh, there's something to this." This isn't just mind games. Like this is all interconnected in a way that almost makes your brain feel like it's going to melt.
>> It's absolutely amazing and, um, I just just want to thank you for the way that you write about it. Taking a lot of what it is sometimes difficult. Uh, some of this writing is difficult and archaic and and and modernizing it, bringing it into the modern age and helping me to understand what is going on.
>> Thank you.
>> There's a lot of fear around magic. I mean, I'm teaching people magic when I'm teaching imagination and meditation. But the word magic is loaded. And people will especially because people come, uh, you were born in the south, you know how it is. People have these Christian backgrounds and they're and they're taught about, uh, these demons and we're going to go to hell. So, you're fighting against, um, years and years of subconscious training in in what you're teaching.
>> Indoctrination, yes.
>> Absolutely.
>> Absolutely. I think I think magic is one of those things that appeals to people who have exhausted everything else. And it's like, "Okay," you know, like most people when you say magic, most people are going to be like, "What is that?" Like some Harry Potter trash or something, you know, like not even going to know what it is. They're going to or they're going to think it's like just another belief system, you know, they don't they don't realize like it's a it's a system of practice closer to something like kung fu than than to a religion. You know, it's something you do, not something you believe. But forgot once again where we were going.
>> Well, we're talking about everything, so, um...
Uh, well, there's there's so many different and interesting forms of magic and and and, you know, chaos magic and and something that my wife and I, um, really love is is creating sigil art. Mhm. Um, and and what what we totally use your your your water charging, uh, and we just charge the paint. You know what I mean? We put our intention into the paint, paint something, and then it becomes a sort of broadcast. Uh, I'd like to get your impression of sigil magic, being able to create images, symbols, and objects that sort of broadcast a magical power. And, uh, I'd love to get your impressions of sigil magic. I know you've worked with other magicians that are really good at that, too.
>> Mhm.
>> So, that was a a really big part of my practice for a long time. Like I even still to this day I have them tattooed all over my body.
>> Right.
>> And I would use them in all different kinds of ways. Like when I first got out, I moved to New York. I moved to Manhattan, and for the first time in my life I felt at home. I felt like for the first time in my life I I've I'm somewhere where I I belong, where I fit, where nobody's looking at me weird, nobody cares about what I'm doing or anything else. And I had this kind of fear for a long time that something was going to happen to separate me from it and that I was going to be cast out into the world somehow. So, what I did was took all of the names of all of the neighborhoods in New York that meant something to me, Harlem, Chinatown, Soho, Tribeca. I took all of the names of the neighborhoods that meant something to me, you know, were deeply personal to me and I turned them all into sigils and I tattooed them all over my body.
>> Love it. Yeah.
>> So, that wherever I went in the world, I would still maintain that energetic connection to home, to the place that I felt.
The thing about sigils is, um, like the deeper parts of our ourselves that are beneath and above like our conscious minds doesn't communicate with language. It communicates with imagery. This is why we dream, you know, when our subconscious, unconscious, all these things are trying to tell us stuff, it doesn't tell us in words, it makes us have these crazy dreams filled with images and all this sort of stuff. Well, we can establish a language. Like like when you're doing sigils, what you're doing is creating a language that you and your unconscious or subconscious mind can use to speak with each other and and pass information back and forth. So, you're you're kind of bypassing words.
Ultimately, there's no difference in like using sigil magic and doing the lesser banishing or lesser invoking ritual of the pentagram because it's still a symbol. Like when you're drawing those pentagrams, when you're doing that ritual, I mean, think about what you're doing like when you're drawing when you do the invoking ritual of the pentagram. And you know how when you when you invoke, you start at the top and you draw down here. So, each of those four points of this pentagram represent one of the elements plus spirit above, right? So, when you draw this pentagram, what you are symbolically drew doing is draw and okay, so spirit is here, earth is down here. You are symbolically connecting heaven to earth. You are drawing heaven down into the physical level of reality. Every single time you do this, what you're doing is sending, you know, you're doing stuff energetically, but also you're talking to yourself. You are telling yourself, "Do this. Bring more God through me. Bring more light through me into the world." Like you're pulling that down. It's It's in a way it's still sigil magic. In a certain sense, you know, with a broader like when you look at it from a broader perspective, almost everything that we do in magic is sigil magic.
>> Everything. So true. Uh, when the interesting thing about magic to me as I'm teaching with my group, uh, we discuss things like the Akashic Record. Uh, when I'm doing a ritual like you talk about in your in your your book on rituals, um, I feel the the milli- all the times people have done this ritual, it adds a layer. Like so I'm tuning in to all the times all the way thousands of years ago when people did that ritual. The ritual might have no meaning, but once people start doing it on a regular basis, it creates its own power. You're tapping into the shared collective energy that is we're pulling it right from the Akashic Record.
>> Yes.
>> That's what's so amazing about it.
>> Yes, and that's I mean, what you're describing is an egregore. Like there's an like people doing this ritual work have, you know, you're not only you're you're feeding energy into this egregore, working with this this particular system. And you can also draw on that. Yeah. That The more you do this stuff, the more not you personally, the more humanity does this stuff, the more we're charging this battery that is behind it.
>> Now, I'm getting distracted, but I can't help it 'cuz I could talk to you about anything. You have so much knowledge. I want to talk about egregores a little bit. What what I'm seeing and and this is comes from another, uh, Russian physicist that talked about something called pendulums.
>> Mhm.
>> The concept is that we're constantly battling with different levels of egregores all the time. Uh, especially with social media. Once a group of people start thinking about the same topic, maybe it's about politics or corporation or a new movie that came out, it an a pendulum forms. And if enough people put their emphasis on it, it becomes conscious and it truly becomes the egregore. I think the first level it just becomes this sort of vampire that takes energy. It doesn't matter if you oppose it or reject it. If you place your attention on it, that's then it takes the energy. And so, a lot of times we think we're moving towards our goals, but but it's the goal of the pendulum or the egregore. These and and so, what's amazing about magic is is that we can actually, uh, coordinate a relationship with these egregores, a conscious egregore that can work on your side that's not just we're not swimming through it. Does Does that make sense?
>> It absolutely does. And I mean, anytime you're doing ritual work, that's basically what you're doing. You're You're creating like an an egregore made that's just your energy, not the combined energy of of, you know, you know, like say for example, you know, take take like the simplest easiest thing you can do, which is just like holding your hands like this. And every time you inhale, you're pulling in You're focused on pulling in chi from the world around you and you're just inhaling and it goes into your tip of breath center. And when you exhale, you let it go down your arms out your hands and form this gold ball of energy, this gold sphere of energy between your hands. And then you you instill a purpose into it, you know, like some some intention, like one of the things I always use just the first thing that pops into my head. Like I used to do it when I first woke up in the morning. I would do this practice and I would release that sphere of energy and say, "Go before me and make the crooked places straight." Meaning, I don't know what's coming at me today, but you go before me and make sure it's all going to be smooth and okay and nothing negative is going to happen or or any of that kind of stuff. Well, that's an egregore. That's what you just created and you've released it to go do a job.
>> So, you can you can activate objects. You can activate and place egregores, if you want to call it that, at different levels or entities. Um, you can activate objects so they can utilize that as a focal point of power and and amulets and things like that, correct?
>> Yes. Yes. Or even even almost as like, uh, think of it as like a home. I can't remember who said this. Somebody described this to me one time. They were talking about, uh, like if you create like a talisman or an amulet or you use a ring or or whatever it is that, you know, going back to that example I gave a second ago where you're releasing this energy to go and do something specific. Whenever it's not expending energy to bring about whatever it is that you put the intention in, it gives that energy a place to rest whenever it's not working so that it doesn't just burn its energy up pointlessly.
>> Oh, that that that makes easier for me to understand. I was going to ask you about 'cuz I I'm also a fan of Israel Regardie, but he wrote this book about Romance of Metaphysics and there's a chapter in this book where he talks about Neville Goddard, somebody I've I've done a lot of deep dives on and he claims Neville Goddard was the greatest magician. Uh, Neville Goddard simply simply taught just using your imagination to create reality. He it, um, he said it was it was too profound. He was scared. He would sit and grab his chair as Neville would guide him in these imaginary exercises. It sort of moved beyond the ritual into this personal place of power that he was trying to get us to. I'd like to talk about the the the place between magic and that pure power we already have within us, where we are we are the God, we are the angel, where we are activating our imagination. And that place between, I'd love to get your perspective on...
>> So, Neville Goddard, um, it's kind of interesting that you bring him up. Uh, that's like my wife's specialty. Like they call it new thought. Was there was this whole group of people that was Neville Goddard, there was a, uh, Emmett Fox, there was Catherine Ponder, um, a few other ones, Napoleon Hill, like all these people, but they were doing magic. They just didn't call it...
>> ...doing magic. Thank you.
>> ...they're selling out places like I believe it was like Carnegie Hall in in New York, where they're selling out Carnegie Hall. People are coming in to listen to them talk about the stuff, but they never call it magic. They call it new thought.
>> And they say that ultimately we create our experience of reality through the way that we think. And that by changing the way you think, you can also change the way you perceive, experience, and interact with reality. It absolutely was magic, but there's no ritual involved. There's no, you know, secret words or secret, you know, anything that goes along with it. They It was just like if you do A plus B, C will be the result.
>> The interesting thing is when you look at the the the old ritual magic, it was actually working to to improve your imagination. Even Carl Jung was was saying that even with his clients that it helps us to work with archetypes first.
>> Mhm.
>> It brings about subconscious parts of ourselves just going through the process of the ritual and the the sort of play that that that we confront with it. It it it I'm I'm when I'm doing it, I'm like, "Why am I doing this?" And then you start to realize it's bringing about something subconsciously within me, and it's enhancing my ability to use my imagination. Right?
>> Yes. And if done correctly, if, you know, most people won't ever reach the stage just because to be honest, they're not really applying them themselves in a lot of way. But if you truly integrate this work, this ritual work, and these systems into your psyche, into your energy system, into your being, you're not going to be doing them forever.
Like the the way that like you like people mistake the vehicle for the destination. Magic is a vehicle. That's all it is. Magic is a vehicle, one of many that can get you to a destination. The Buddha called it, uh, burning the raft. He was descri- He said even like the techniques of Buddhism, he he said, um, like imagine you're walking and you come to a river, and to cross this river you have to build a raft. So you build a raft and you use it to cross the river, and when you get to the other side of the river, you take the raft and you strap it to your back and start walking through the through the, you know, across the land because the the the raft saved you. It helped you at one point. It did what you needed it to do, so you hang on to it forever even though it's you're not in the same situation or circumstances. He said, "Burn the raft."
Like ultimately, you want to reach a place in magic where, you know, I'll I'll me and and the guy that I do, you know, I've been doing, um, we we call our school Magnum Opus, me and and one of the people that I've learned a tremendous amount from, uh, in my life, uh, we we co-teach these classes, and, you know, one of the things that we always try to get through to people is like as you progress through life, if you're you're doing this stuff correctly, the way you do it should change. You know, it you'll still be doing the same things to yourself that you were doing when you were working through the magic systems, but it will take different forms. You know, now things like, um, you know, like drawing pentagrams in the air or or, you know, all the old school classical things that we think of when we think of magic, a lot of people now are kind of stunned...
When I tell them I have zero interest in this. This interests me about as much as, you know, listening to a lecture on, you know, obscure tax laws. That, that sort of stuff. You should reach a point in your life where you continue doing this work, but you do it in different ways. Does that make sense?
Absolutely. I think we're it's a constant evolution.
The other aspect I'd love to cover with this because you've magic itself, the world and the woo that we're talking about, 20 years ago, we might perform a magic ritual or we might imagine something and then we will see the results of it long time. There was a slower period. And the I feel like the world has changed. The there The magic is back. The The magic is back. Consciousness is different. Magic is different. So, when I perform a magic magic ritual or if I in some imaginative function, I'm seeing my reality created much faster and the magic works more efficiently. What is your feeling?
Think about language you hear people use now that you didn't hear them use like say, you know, 30 years ago. Like I This struck me. I was walking down the street one day and there were two people walking in front of me and I heard them having a conversation and they were talking about, uh, I can't remember if it was a person or a place or whatever, but they were talking about the vibes that this person or this place gives off and how they didn't like being around it. And I I started thinking, they don't realize that they're having a conversation about magic. They're discussing things like psychic faculties and energy perception and all this sort of stuff and have no idea they're talking about. I just didn't like the vibes over there. You didn't hear that stuff decades ago. Something about even if even if not like the, you know, the formulaic parts of it like the rituals, even if if that itself isn't seeping more and more into mainstream consciousness, like what it's about is like the energy of it and changing reality and and all of this sort of stuff is for some reason becoming more and more mainstream. And I think the more mainstream it becomes, the more, you know, going back to what we were talking about a while ago about the more people who practice a ritual, the more people who believe in something, the more people who are doing whatever, they're all feeding the the egregore, the intelligence behind it. I think the same thing is kind of happening with modern civilization and these changing conversations that people have and their way of and how the conversations that they're having are also leading to, uh, you know, changes in the world and in their lives. I I yes, to, you know, long long story short, I I see 100% exactly what you're talking about. Yes.
Yeah. And what's been really fun to watch is your evolution. You have a new book and I can't wait to read it, The Alchemy of the Broken Blade. If anybody follows your Instagram, you become a badass with the sword. You got some amazing videos. Have you been to Japan yet?
Have you been? No, that's that's one of the reasons that.
Keep working on this case is I can't go to Japan and I can't like the system that I practice is Korean and I can't even go to, uh, Korea because I still legally have this criminal record attached to my name.
Cuz it, right. So, we got to figure we got to figure out a way to, um, use our magic to make this happen for Damian because I think it's important. I think that, uh, I what it's it's talk about the parallels between learning how to use the blade and magic cuz it it appears they're very much linked together.
They absolutely are. Um, you know, especially like Beethoven said one time that like the highest aspiration that we could possibly have is to approach divinity as closely as we can, gather its rays, and disseminate them out to mankind. And we do this in different ways. Like people will gather the light in different ways, and they will disseminate the light in different ways. You know, like Beethoven did it through music. Someone else may do it through painting. Someone else may do it through writing. Someone else may do it through gardening. Like it could be done in a million different ways. One of the things that that started to help me rebuild that structure of my life that allowed me to keep growing and expanding and changing after I got out of prison was martial arts. And I started off, uh, with Tang Soo Do, which is Korean karate. It's the same form of, uh, nerd out on you a little bit here. It's the same form of karate that Chuck Norris, uh, practiced and taught.
Okay.
He learned it whenever he was in the Air Force and got sent over to Korea during the Korean War, learned it over there. A lot of the Korean soldiers brought it back over here. You see this kind of mirrored it, uh, in the the TV show and the movies, uh, Karate Kid or Cobra Kai. Like Cobra Kai is Tang Soo Do. Uh, what what Daniel is doing is Japanese karate because he's learning from Miyagi. So, ultimately Cobra Kai and Karate Kid are the story of Korean karate versus Japanese karate. So, this is what I started off taking. And after you get to, I eventually got my black belt. I'm working on my second-degree black belt now, but after you get to the higher belts, you start training with weapons. You use the staff, the the knife, and the sword. And something about the sword, my entire life, to me the sword has always been like a a symbol of the epitome of magic. You know, when I say magic in this this sense, I'm talking about stepping outside of the mundane mediocre world where there's so much crap just waiting to grind you down, whether it's, you know, worried about how you're going to get the money to pay rent this month or, you know, some health issue you deal with, like what all the things that we have to deal with in the the mundane world. When you pick up a sword, you're not thinking about any of those things anymore. It's almost like you've you've made this crossover into this kind of existence that is the only, only word I know to how to use to to use is otherworldly. You know, you stepped out of the mundane, out of the mediocre, and I absolutely fell in love with the sword. However, where it ties into magic is, oh, then I started taking, uh, Haedong Kumdo, which is, um, the means way of the Korean sword. And what I was going back to what I was saying a while ago about Beethoven and collecting this light, we do this through sword. Like the first thing you learn whenever you are learning sword is the Chinese character for light. The strokes you make with the sword, like the cutting combinations that you make, you are drawing the character, the calligraphy character for light in the air in front of you over and over and over. Well, just like when you do one of these rituals like a banishing or invoking or you're working with angels or whatever it is, a lot of people don't understand like the mechanics behind how it works. And what I mean by that is you absorb those things. Like when you and if you were to do, you know, the the supreme invoking ritual of the pentagram and invoke all the angels from the tree of life and then you walk out of the room, it's not like those angels are still there around that room or like those pentagrams are still floating in the air. What happens is your aura absorbs those things, which is why it has an expanding effect on it. It, you know, changes the way you think, changes the way you feel, changes the act in the world. It's because it changes your energy system first because you're absorbing divine energy and then you have more in you that you can spread out into the world. That's what we're doing with the sword. We are invoking light over and over and over into ourselves so that we have more to give to the world. But also, when it comes to magic, a lot of people get hung at this place of like manifesting things or or, you know, having something they want, like manifesting something they want, whatever it is.
Mhm.
Ultimately, we we to to do the higher work of magic, we have to move beyond that and into like like what is this stuff really for and and how do we really get the most out of it? So, one of the things that we started to realize whenever we were teaching the classes and I realize I'm being long-winded here. I'm trying to figure out.
As long-winded as you want. We love it. We love it. Yes.
So, one of the things I figured out me and my partner when we're doing the Magus Hopus classes was that a lot of people do this ritual work and they think that's all they need to do. And it's not. Like like when you invoke one of these elements, you're working on an aspect of yourself that corresponds to that element. So, when we would like you you work your way through the system starting with Earth. You invoke the element of Earth over and over and over every day. You know, every single day for like a year, you're invoking Earth every day. And what happens whenever you're doing this is there's going to If you don't know what you're looking for, like that's one of the things about the Golden Dawn and all these systems also is they don't explain to you what this is doing to you. So, you might not even connect two things together. Like you may be invoking Earth every single day for 9 months, and suddenly you're just going through your days and you're like, "You know what? I really shouldn't be smoking cigarettes. I'm going to quit smoking." Or you start to think, "You know what? I'm I'm I need to start exercising a little more." Or you start to feel like, "You know what? I haven't been hiking in a long time. I really need to get out and spend more time in nature." All of those things are a product of invoking Earth. What you are doing is is refining and purifying and strengthening the aspect of yourself that corresponds to that planet. So, we started giving them, uh, you know, things to do for each element in addition to the ritual work. You know, change your diet, change your exercise routines, start spending time in nature. That's for Earth. Whenever we move to water, we do the same thing only we focus on the emotions and helping them reach emotional maturity and what does that mean and what does it look like? Then we move on to air. And while you're doing those every day, you're working on your intellect. You're studying new things that you don't know anything about, you know, forming new connections in your mind. You're getting You're learning how to use your mind instead of be used by your mind, which is how most people go through the world. Same thing when you get to fire. Fire is your will, your ambition, your drive. We We show them things to figure out where you're hemorrhaging your life force in ways that you are gaining absolutely nothing from. Like how are you wasting your life energy? The work of fire is to prune those things off so that you're no longer just hemorrhaging this life force and you have more to focus and channel into your will, your purpose, your goal, what you came here to do. Those are all the exact same things that you are working on, practicing, and learning whenever you are going through a system like Hapkido where it's a it's not just about like fighting. It is a very very mystical system that, you know, I'll tell you one thing like there's a a meditation we do in sword where you stand in the horse stance and reach up with both hands and you grab the energy of heaven and you pull it down. And then you reach below you and you grab the energy of earth and you pull it up. And then you combine them both in the center of your chest as within so without the void and then you start to do these movements where you're doing the same thing you're doing when you're doing the middle pillar which where you're circulating the energy.
Right.
But it's got these physical movements that go along with that also but like when I first started doing it I would hear all this cracking and weird noises in my shoulders and it was just because I've got all these calcium deposits and stuff and doing this form of meditation bust those up and breaks them up so that you can move physically freer. So you have all the exact same things in sword in Korean sword that you have in magic it's just a a different way of going about doing them.
There's a in in our modern society there is a need for immediate gratification. The one ritual that will immediately bring what we want what what you've really taught me and shown me is the power of repetition and patience.
Yes.
Right? Yes. And I would say not only even just patience but you know, I think you can be patient while still doing what Crowley called lusting for results. You know, like let's say you do a ritual for a you a new house to live in for your family and and you spend a year, every day for a year, putting as much energy into this as you can. But then every day after you do the ritual, you're you're like looking around like, I wonder how it's going to work. How's it going to manifest? Which direct Where's it going to come from? You know, how's it going to take Well, what happens whenever you do that is you're not releasing it. You're not letting go of it. You have to let it go to do its job. So, you could patiently say, "Okay, I'm going to sit here and every day I'm going to wait patiently for this house to manifest." And it's probably not going to work.
Right.
But, if you forget about the house, don't think about the house, do the ritual, and then go about your normal daily life, you're releasing it to go do what you wanted it to do, and it happens a lot more quickly. Where was I going with that?
Uh it was That was perfect answer to it.
Okay.
[laughter]
W- what when when you when we when we do these actions and we and we wait, the the releasing can be the hard parts. It's just, uh, the other aspect of this is n- the the other people that you talk about your magic. I I found I have to completely trust someone's imagination. It's only a If I'm going to talk to someone else, it's very private to me. Whatever meditation, whatever I'm trying to manifest, i- i- I might I might share with my partner because I trust her imagination. But, uh, how do you work with that? Y- Y- You keep it to yourself, right?
Yes. Yes. All of it because, you know, keep in mind that if you say, like, you know, go back to the house example for a second. You tell someone, like, "I'm I'm doing magic every day to to manifest a house." What if they look at you and think, "And this dude has lost his mind. This dude is crazy and maybe even suffering in psychosis. He thinks angels are going to bring him a house or whatever it is." Well, all of that is energy. So, they are putting that energy into the process and it's not going to to bring about favorable results. So number one, like you said, make sure if you are talking about the stuff it's going to be somebody that's on the same page with you, you know, that's putting energy towards it that's going to be beneficial in some way, but ultimately I would say the way to this So when I first went to prison, I spent a few I'm I'm on death row for several years and I keep thinking, okay, surely any day something's going to change here. Surely someone, you know, someone with an IQ of more than 15 is going to step in and fix this situation. Like an adult is going to notice something's not right here and they're going to fix it. Is it going to happen today? Is it going to happen today? Is it going to happen when I file this appeal? Is it going to happen when I file that appeal? How is it going to come about? And nothing happened. I sat there year after year after year and nothing changed. Then when I immersed myself so deeply into building my own life, you know, I was painting and and doing art shows when I was in there. I wrote a book while I was on death row. Like I like I would constantly find things to pour myself into so that it wasn't a fight to not think about the magic. I literally forgot it. I think one of my favorite stories, um, about Austin Osman Spare, you know, the the chaos magic guy. You know about sigils? I I read the story one time about how he created a sigil. I don't know why he would do this, but he created a sigil to make his house seem haunted, threw it in a drawer, completely forgot about it. Months go by, later down the road he can't figure out why he's hearing all these weird like knocking and creaking noises in the middle of the night.
Yeah.
Right, right. It it it's very powerful. Um, 100%. So the people that are watching that are suffering from traumas that in the they're in that trauma loop where something triggers a memory of the trauma. What can you tell them? How can you escape that that that the what happens internally, the patterns that start to form neurologically? How can we escape from those traumas? Because you were given every possible trauma that you could experience.
Don't try. The more what you resist persists. The more you try to escape something, the more you are binding yourself to it in one way or another. Like you can't struggle. You can't resist. You can't fight. If you fight against it, once again, you're feeding it. You know, that's why I won't even go into that, but that that's the It's not only like believing in something that feeds energy to it, like with egregore's or whatever, but also fighting against something also makes it stronger because you're doing the same thing. You're feeding energy to it one way or the other. All you can do is create a life where you're so on fire for what you're doing that you're not thinking about resisting, fighting, anything else. Like let it let it do what it's going to do, you know, you're you're focused on your life.
I can't help but talk to you without just mentioning I'm a huge Pearl Jam super fan and you co-wrote Army Reserve with Eddie Vedder. Eddie Eddie Vedder's one of my favorite people in the world and what's it like to meet Eddie Vedder?
I'm kind of fond of him, too. Um, you know, he.
It, right?
Yeah, he was one of my, uh, like most loyal friends, uh, the entire time pretty much the entire time that I was in. He used to come visit me on death row. Uh, you know, he he's one of those people that gives you he's like a living security blanket. You know, it's like when you're with him, when you're around him, you know everything's going to be okay. May not be exactly perfect, whatever, but everything's going to be okay. Having that feeling in your life when you're sitting there surrounded by people who want to murder you, that is an incredibly valuable, beautiful thing to have in your life. You know, he still to this day is one of the a handful of people in the world that if if I were in a situation with no idea what I was going to do, you know, he's one of the few people that I know if I call him and say I need help, he's going to be there to help.
I you got to love I mean I I've always got that impression from him.
Yes.
And, uh, I think I've seen you maybe you've been at a couple concerts like you you're but, um, they they just they just the whole band is amazing. The the best live show that you can imagine and Army Reserve was such a great song. It's just I couldn't help but ask cuz I'm such a huge fan. I love them so much. And that's that.
You you know, going back to the thing about creating a life for yourself, that's one of the things I was doing while I was on death row. Like I I co-wrote that with Eddie while I was on death row. So it's like.
Yeah.
Find things to do and you won't be thinking about whatever it is you're doing magic.
And and that's that's one of the first places I realized there was magic in hearing a song songs like Pearl Jam or others where you have that moment where like you you're outside of your body and you realize if there's so much more to the world from a simple song that you hear.
Yes.
Piece of art or a movie that you watch, those are the places that that tell us there is this thing called magic that I want to learn more about. That's that is so amazing.
I think a lot of times when we feel something like that in music, going back again to that thing Beethoven said about how we should gather this light and then disperse it, that's why you resonate with it like that. That's why you feel it like that because you're you're getting the light out of it. The light that Have you Have you by any chance seen that, um, the the Michael Jackson movie yet?
I haven't seen it. It's on It's on the list. Is it worth watching?
Okay, this is a little bit embarrassing to even say this. I won't I've been to the theaters nine times to see this movie.
Okay, that's Hey, then it's good.
Over I believe it's it's the when you walk out of that theater, you feel like what you're describing. He was one of those people that understood the mission. He understood gather the light disperse the light. And when you're sitting in there, you feel that. And it makes you feel the completely different way than you would if you were sitting there watching a movie, you know, about somebody getting tortured or something. Like you when you walk out of there, it feels like you've taken communion and you just think there should be more of that in the world and I want more of that in my life. And you go back again to get more, to get fed. It feeds you. Eddie Vedder feeds you. Michael Jackson feeds you. I think there is a tremendous power in music, you know, that that has the ability to, uh, serve as a system of of feeding us divine light.
The only other question that comes to me is is just because I've I've read so much of your stuff is what's it like to be Damien Echols when you're walking around New York? Do you see the angels? Do you see I I know that that what what when you're when you're intoning and connecting and tuning in to angelic energies all the time, uh, do you start to see them all around you?
I think you do for a while. You know, I think you I think you go through stages of like development with stuff like that and I think you do for a while. Um, now, uh, you know, I like like I said, my practice looks completely and absolutely different now than anything you would see in like a Golden Dawn manual or anything like that. For me, most of the time when I'm walking down the street, I'm trying to the best of my ability to just walk down the street.
Be in the moment.
Thinking about anything, but just feeling what do my feet feel like when I'm walking down the pavement? What's the air feel like against my skin? What What am I smelling right now? What am I hearing right now? Like Like a lot of times we use magic in the early stages to escape the world that we don't like. But ultimately, what we are trying to do is reach the point where we realize it's all the same thing. There is no spiritual world and material world. They're just two sides of the same coin. They are the same coin. When you're walking down the street, that asphalt under your feet, that's God. Like there's there's nowhere to go. There's nowhere to be. That We're not trying to escape anything. Pay attention, you know, just That That's That's the bulk of my practice now is just trying to experience what I'm actually experiencing instead of being mentally in one place, emotionally in another place, physically in a third place, and, uh, you know, what it just being scattered like that.
Thank you for sharing that. Now, if people want to take your class or to follow up and know about your events, what's the best place for them to find more information?
The place I'm the most active is on Patreon. They can find me on there just by searching my name, but I also There's a website. I think it's just damieneschols.com. They can sign up for like an a newsletter, and we don't bombard people or anything, you know, we only put it out if there's like something coming up, you know, like a retreat or something like that. Uh, they can also just find me on, um, social media, you know, I I do Instagram and sort of Twitter every now and then. Don't do Facebook at all. I I avoid that stuff like the plague or TikTok or any of that. Like your best chances of finding me are usually going to be on Instagram, Twitter, uh, Patreon, or my website.
Keep doing what you're doing. Keep writing what you're writing. It's just a genuine honor to meet you and talk with you. Thank you for sharing your time with me.
And, uh, so everybody needs to check out the new book The Alchemy of the Broken Blade. Put it on pre-order. Go on Amazon right now. I'll I'll try to put a link in the description. Um, and if you haven't, go and check out the the books, uh, Life After Death, High Magic, Angels and Archangels, and Ritual. Uh, I talk to a lot of writers on my channel. And Damien's the old-school writer, the person that's been writing for a very long time that's developed a very unique and wonderful writing style that's personal and magical. And as just somebody a fan of writing, you're just an amazing writer. So thank you for that.
Thank you.
Be sure to check that out. And, uh, I hope we can get we can talk again soon. Uh, so let's let's plan on that. And welcome to the Reality Revolution, Damien.
Thank you. And also just want to say I apologize for being so kind of rambly. And I haven't really like done interviews or podcasts or anything in a long long time.
You you you found the we we are the ramblers. That's what I am. I am the rambler. So it was it was good to talk to a fellow rambler.
[laughter]
So thanks. All right, we'll talk soon.
Yes, thank you so much.
Welcome to the Reality Revolution. I am so excited to cordially invite you to an amazing event we're hosting in Austin on September 18th through the 20th. [music] We are going to take you into the large sums of money portal, into the vortex where you live in the reality where large sums of money come to you. Almost 10 million of you have listened to one meditation on my channel. And my comment section is [music] filled every single day with people telling me the same impossible story. Money showed up, unexpected checks, refunds out of nowhere, raises, clients, windfalls. And the amazing thing is, it's not just a little bit, it's large sums of money just as those words denote, [music] from one affirmation. This September 18th through the 20th.
[music]
In Austin at the Hyatt Regency, we're going to do it together in one room for the very first time. Years ago I found the affirmation that I changed my entire financial life with.
[music]
I have read it thousands of times, millions of you have fallen asleep to it. People call it the master code, and here it is. You know it well, you can probably say [music] it with me. I am so happy and grateful now that large sums of money come to me easily and quickly and in increasing quantities from multiple sources on a continuous basis in the best interests of all that I get to keep, give, spend, and invest joyfully. This has been the master code of my life and so many of you. It has changed my life in so many ways. Every single word in that affirmation has come true in my life, and there's nothing I want more than for you to experience the same thing. Every word is deliberate. Large sums coming to you easily and quickly from many sources continuously in the best interests of all. This is the affirmation people have written to me about from their cars after an unexpected deposit, from their kitchens the morning [music] a check arrived, from lives that changed after they simply kept listening. It works. You had told me it works. Tens of millions of views later in a comment section that reads like a miracle log. Read the comments under that meditation right now. Real people, strangers [music] to each other, saying the the thing in thousands of different ways. The money came, the exact amount they needed, the opportunity they had given up on, the doors that opened the week they started listening. And here's what stays with me the most, the people who come to my live events tell me the same thing every single time, that being in the room.
[music]
In 3 days does what years of listening alone was building toward. The meditation opens the door, the room walks you through it. For the first time ever, I'm taking the Master Code deep for 3 days into a room [music] for 3 days this September. An entire event built around shifting you into the large sums of money future that is available to you. Nine immersive sessions. We open by unleashing infinite streams of money. We walk through a rains of money. We quantum jump into large sums of money together. You come face-to-face with the wealthiest self of you in the multiverse, and we live inside this affirmation for 3 days until it becomes deeply embedded in our DNA. Until it is no longer something that you listen to, it is who you are. This is the most powerful way I've ever found to transform money in a person's life, and I have only ever been able to give you a piece of it through the screen. I'm going to give you all the most advanced teachings on money, ways I was able to make money. I want to show you that in this new economy, in this new age, that you have access to infinite streams [music] of money, that it's available to you now. We are living in the best time ever to be prosperous and free. I'm also bringing things into the room that I have never done at any event. [music] I'm keeping them a surprise. What I will tell you, this is the first time gathering around the Master Code in person for 3 days, and it will only be the first time once. You're going to want to say that you were there when it happened. [music] You're going to want to be the one sharing your success story in the way that it changed your life, in the way large sums of money came to you.
Today was my first day with Brian Scott. It was just a wonderful experience. I really So, my favorite one that has always resonated with me is the, um, the the manifesting abundance mindset. So, I am so happy and grateful, um, that large sums of money come to me easily and quickly.
I've been a fan of Brian Scott's for years and the opportunity to see this event live exceeded my expectations.
I'm so grateful to be here. I've been listening to Brian's stuff for 2 years and I think Brian really changed my life.
When we come together, everybody's affected by it. Even if you don't necessarily believe the energy of it is so incredibly powerful and magnetic. The room is small on purpose. Every seat within arms reach of me and these seats are going quickly. We have a lower early bird price than any of my other events specifically targeted so that if you're interested in going to one of my events, this is the perfect time to go. I'm so excited to go to Austin, one of my favorite places in the world. Austin is such a creative, unique, vibrant city. It is the perfect place for us to manifest large [music] sums of money into our life. September 18th through the 20th, you can find the link in the description at www.brianscottlive.com/austin-2026. I cannot [music] wait to see you there.
