The monastery was founded in the 4th Century AD, and its name means spear in Armenian, referring to the spear used to wound Jesus.
The largest lake in Armenia is Lake Sevan. It is in the Gegharkunik Marz, surrounded by beautiful mountains. The lake is a popular tourist attraction and a great place to relax and enjoy summers. You can take a boat ride on the lake, swim, fish, or hike around the mountains.
In Tavush Marz, you can visit Dilijan National Park. The park is home to beautiful forests, mountains, and lakes. Visitors can hike, camp, or enjoy the beauty of nature.
