RANT: Stop Wasting Money on GoHighLevel Snapshots (Do This Instead)

All right. So, everyone's out here asking what's the perfect HighLevel snapshot for credit repair, for chiropractors, for dentists, for whatever my niche is. But let me tell you a secret. If you are asking this question, you are already setting yourself up for failure.

Why is that? Because the same people asking who has a perfect snapshot for XYZ niche are the people that can't even close the clients for that niche in the first place. And why can't they close them? Because they don't understand them. They don't understand their problems and they're asking for somebody else's template to service them.

Okay, so if you're just getting started out, let me tell you what a snapshot is and what a snapshot isn't. A snapshot is not a magic bullet. A snapshot does contain some automations and custom values and things that'll make it easy to get started, but if you don't even know your way around every single like menu item inside of HighLevel, the snapshot's not going to help you. You're just going to be confused. You're just going to have this low-level anxiety like, "Oh, I don't even know what's in this thing."

A snapshot cannot replace you actually understanding your customer. And a snapshot will never fit a business perfectly out of the box. Maybe 99%, but you're still going to have to edit some things. And that's where actually understanding the platform comes in. Okay? You can't sell HighLevel if you don't know how to actually use the platform or you don't have somebody on your team that actually knows how to use the platform. Somebody that's servicing the customer needs to know what they're doing. And if you look at my previous rant video, you'll see why I recommend that that isn't some VA that you're paying a few dollars an hour from the Philippines or elsewhere.

So, what do you do instead? Maybe you've already spent hundreds or even thousands on a snapshot. If you did, there's probably some good stuff in there, but it doesn't do you any good if you don't actually understand the platform. So, what you need to do is go deconstruct that snapshot and build it all yourself. Start as small as possible. Find one automation and just rebuild that. Understand it. I have a video on how to use the workflow builder inside of HighLevel here.

Once you've done that one automation, you're going to start thinking about a million questions of like, how does this actually connect here? How does this connect here? How does this connect here? And then you can go build those parts of the snapshot. And this is a really, really good way to get practice. And if you have time, you're just trying to learn the platform, practice that way. That's great. But if you need clients and money now, listen to this next part.

What I recommend is a levels-based system for servicing your clients. And this way you don't build too much before you get too many clients. You actually get to balance both at the same time. So close a client, have a good snapshot and process for them. That's good enough. And then work on it a little bit as you service that client. And then the next one comes and you're ready. And you got level two ready. Then you move to level three, four, and you've got, you know, probably 15 versions by the end of this.

What's level one? It's a simple automation that adds somebody to a pipeline, takes a lead when it comes in, and automates those customer touches that matter most to the business. Or it could be an AI voice agent template that you worked on for your first client. My friend Danny does this with voice AI. You can check out the interview I did with him here. He closes 100 people a month on this offer and he's still working on his next level. Right now, it takes him under an hour. He takes his template, duplicates it, he plugs it into the client system, but he's working on a system that's going to be even more automated that takes him less and less time each time. What if he had said, "I need the perfect snapshot before I can start getting clients"? He wouldn't be adding $40,000 in MRR every single month.

And if you're struggling to get clients, you're like, "I don't know really what I'm doing. I need to understand it better." I promise you, build level one and then do not allow yourself to build anything else until you close a client on the vision of what that offer is.

Now, if you're getting meetings, but nobody actually wants what you're talking about, it's either a sign that you're coming off too strong and salesy or you don't understand the problem enough. And so, just switch from sales mode to research mode. Do you go in, you say, "Hey, I was wondering, do you guys miss a lot of calls here? Hey, I was wondering when you get a new lead on your website, does somebody reach out to that person? How long does it usually take?" Oh, it takes 15 minutes. Well, did you know that you're 6,000% more likely to actually close that person if you contact them within the first minute? I can build you an automation that does that or build you an automation that calls your team so that every time the lead comes in, they just pick up the phone and they say, "Hey, how's it going?" You need to find the pain before you can actually sell the thing.

Okay, the moral of the story is snapshots are good. Once you're experienced, once you understand what's going on and you can look at a snapshot and within 5 minutes understand what it does and know where to fix things, if something goes wrong, then you're really ready to use a snapshot. Okay? You or someone on your team needs to understand how to use this software if they're going to sell it. Check out this video here for more.
