A new feature is completely changing how we use ChatGPT, and these are ChatGPT Projects. With projects, you will not only achieve much better results, but you can also use it for things that are unimaginable for most people. And in this video, I will show you everything you need to know about it. Let's go. Very good. And you're probably asking yourself now, Jonas, what exactly are these ChatGPT Projects? You'll understand it best if we just create one. To do this, you open the sidebar here, and whether you're in the web version or the app of ChatGPT, you should see this "New Project" option here, even in the free plan. We'll click on it once. Now you can give this project a name. I'll just call mine "Private." You can also add an emoji by clicking on this icon. And I'll just choose the color blue and this icon. So, now we click on "Create Project." And now you see, this project with the name "Private" appears here on the left in the sidebar. So, and what you can do here now is, you can create new chats within this project. For example, by asking it here, "You are a professional fitness trainer, I want to start exercising. Give me five tips to get started." Then it will give us these tips, and if we go back to our project now, you'll see our chat appears here. By the way, you can also add old chats to this project. This is very easy: you take an old chat, click on the three dots, then click on "Add to Project," and then move it, for example, here into "Private," and then you see, this chat appears here in the project. You can also remove it again by clicking on the three dots and then on "Remove from Private." And you can imagine, you could now create another project for work, hobbies, miscellaneous, and thus already have a much better overview of your chats. Very good. So, simply put, these projects are initially places where you can save your chats. A bit like folders where you file your documents. But these projects have a special feature. You can add files here, provide notes, create reminders only for this project, and what you can do with that, I'll show you now on three levels. That means we'll start very simply, and by the end, you'll know exactly how to work more productively with ChatGPT Projects. And first, I want to show you how you can automate recurring tasks with projects. And as an example, we'll create a personal translator for ourselves. To do this, we'll create a new project here again. We'll call this project "Translator" now and choose this icon. Now we click on "Create Project." If you're on your PC right now, feel free to do this along with me. Believe me, it's worth it. We'll start a new chat in this translator project by asking it here, for example, simply, "Please translate the sentence. I'm doing great. Thanks for asking." Now it can translate this for us, no problem. But we want to build a personal translator. And I don't know about you, but I always want to truly understand the language. That means I don't just want it to translate the sentence for me, but also every word in that sentence. We can also do this with ChatGPT. To do this, we simply write: "Now explain the translation for each word in the sentence." So now we also get the translation for each word in this sentence. And since I want to learn English, I want it to translate every sentence like this from now on. The problem is, the way we've done it now is, of course, far too cumbersome. A translation often needs to be quick, and we had to write two prompts here before it translated it for us like that. Wouldn't it be cool if we could open a new chat, just paste this sentence, and ChatGPT would automatically know that we want it translated like that? And that's exactly where our projects come into play, because with these projects, you can easily automate tasks that are to be processed according to the same pattern every time. Feel free to do this along. To do this, you go to the three dots in the top right corner and then to "Add Notes." And here you can now write a prompt that will be automatically given to all chats in this project. So we'll write here: "Translate every sentence into English and explain the translation and meaning of each word." This means every time we start a new chat in the translator project, we only have to paste our sentence, and it will translate it like that. And if you really want to ensure that it adheres to a specific pattern, I would recommend giving examples as well. I've prepared two here. The first time, the user asks, "It's a beautiful day." And that will then be translated and also broken down word for word. Or if we gave it this sentence, here again comes the translation first, and then the word-for-word breakdown. So we can save the whole thing here, and if we now start a new chat here in the project by simply pasting our sentence and sending it, then the whole thing will be translated exactly as we wanted it, without us having to provide any further information. And that's brilliant, of course, because we can process recurring tasks much faster, and it doesn't have to be a translator. Maybe you want to build a personal fitness trainer, or you want your texts to always be written in the same format, or you want to build an image generator that creates infographics. All of that is possible if you know how to work with these projects correctly. And I know that coming up with these ideas to work with projects correctly, and generally understanding ChatGPT completely, can sometimes be really confusing. And if you say you sometimes feel generally lost or left behind with this whole AI topic, then I have something for you. The problem is that most of us have never learned to work properly with ChatGPT and Co. Why? Because AI is developing so rapidly that even those who have an idea struggle every day to keep up. However, I myself discovered at some point that there are a few fundamental, basic things to know about ChatGPT and Co., and if you understand them, not only will everything become much easier and simpler, but you will also work more productively with these chatbots every day. Now let's move on to Level 2, and that is automated data analysis. With projects, you can already create almost entire workflows for yourself, and I want to show you this using my YouTube analytics. To do this, I'll go to my analytics here, and you can see that it's definitely extremely extensive and encompasses a huge amount of data. Wouldn't it be cool if we could download this data every week, then give it to ChatGPT, and ChatGPT would already know exactly how to analyze this data? That's exactly what we can do with ChatGPT Projects. However, I naturally want you to take this away in principle so that you can then transfer it to your situation. In itself, it's the same game again. We click on "New Project." I'll call this project "YouTube" now and choose an icon here again and create this project. Our goal now is to download the YouTube data every week and then have it automatically analyzed by ChatGPT. And so that ChatGPT knows how to analyze it, we go to "Add Notes" again. And this time I've prepared a pretty extensive prompt with ChatGPT. I just had ChatGPT create it for me. Generally, if you want to learn more about metaprompting, I'll link the video in the end screen. So, we can save this prompt here once. All we have to do now is, we go to the channel analytics. YouTube gives us the option to download this data. We'll just take this CSV file, paste it here in a new chat in the YouTube project, and without having to write anything else here, we'll send it off. And now you see, I'm getting a really extensive analysis from it. It has now created an executive summary for me, provided concrete action steps, done a short deep dive, and created a KPI table. So these projects also give you the ability to easily automate recurring data analyses. This is just an example here, of course. You can transfer it to anything you want to analyze. For example, the quarterly figures of the companies whose stocks you own. It could be the traffic on your personal website, or perhaps the weather data from your own weather station. Great, so far you can use ChatGPT Projects to first create automations and perform data analyses. But there is a third level, and that is now the art of using ChatGPT Projects productively. Imagine, for example, you're a freelancer and you're currently working on a small software project for which you want support with ChatGPT. Then we'll simply go to "New Project" here. We can call this, for example, "Software Project 1," choose an icon here again, and this time I recommend you go to this settings icon, and here you can select "Reminders only for this project" under the "Reminders" section. With this, you can now set that this project can only access its own reminders, which are not available for external chats. And that makes sense, of course, if you're working on a software project here that has nothing to do with your other work. And the special thing about projects, and that's where the real power lies, is that you can also add files under this icon that will be available for this project. I hope I don't need to say this, but of course, you should never share company internal data with ChatGPT. I actually created test data beforehand, simply because I want to show you how the whole thing works in practice. And to add these files, you can simply drag them in here. They will then be uploaded here once. And you see, if we go out of here now, they will be displayed here in the top right corner and are available for all chats in this project. And look, all we have to do now, we've uploaded the files with the requirements. That means we'll just go here and say, "Please implement the given requirements." Additionally, I want to activate the canvas. Just type "/canvas" and then Enter. And then let's send this off. And without us having to give it any further information etc., it will now read these requirements and create a first software draft from them. So, it has now implemented all the requirements. Perhaps you're already excited to see what it has created for us. To do this, we click on "Preview," and as you can see, it has programmed a Snake game for us. And this is not just any Snake game. It has also incorporated various themes. This means we can change the color of the game live. We can turn the audio on and off. That means I'll turn it on, and when we eat an apple, the sound will also come accordingly. We also have different modes. This is, for example, Classic, meaning if you drive into a wall, the game is over. If I change the mode, then I can drive through the wall now. So here the game only stops if the snake runs into itself. Yes, and that's extremely powerful, of course, especially since it created this for us with just a single prompt. And of course, you can and should transfer this to your situation. That means, whether you're writing an article, planning a vacation, or building a house, ChatGPT Projects with the ability to upload files can support you enormously.
