Welcome back to Quantum Conversations. My name is Sarah, and today my co-host, Carrie Bennett, and I are going to be making these complex topics of quantum biology and circadian biology understandable to the everyday person. Thank you so much for tuning in. We ask that if you are listening on audio only, that you take a moment to leave us up to a five-star review; and if you're on YouTube, leave us a like, leave us a comment. It will help to get the show out to more people.

And before we jump into today's topic, just a quick reminder to head down to the show notes and check out my free resources, as well as Carrie's free resources. We also do have courses on a variety of topics if you are hoping to dive deeper. Carrie and I both have practitioner courses available as well, for anyone who wants to begin to bring these topics to their clients and help them to implement these strategies into their daily lives. So check those out. We also have a co-taught course called Quantum Fertility that is available, that allows people and practitioners to work on their fertility using these principles of quantum biology and circadian biology. Again, thank you so much for listening or watching today's show, whichever one you are doing, and let's go ahead and jump into it now.

Hello. Welcome back to Quantum Conversations. We're going to do a little updated Quick Beauty episode because we just are always continually asked about different beauty routines. So Carrie, take it away.

Sure. Yeah, I mean, um, I okay. So I would say that our beauty routine is maybe unconventional because I think we do some very similar things when it comes to this stuff. Step one: be hydrated, right? And we did a whole episode about hydration, and so just make sure that you are fully hydrated, both through the water that you drink and the water that your mitochondria make. That will actually help you retain youthful collagen, um, just, you know, just feel a healthy glow, if you will, as well. Um, step one. Step two, then step two for me is I still like getting red light. I like red light therapy and, and sunlight on my skin. I mean, I find that that is so, uh, I just feel like it does impart a glow, and it does support collagen as well.

It does. Yeah, I mean, I'm a huge fan of just laying outside, getting full-spectrum sunlight on my body, and I'm lucky to live here in Georgia. I can do that sometimes in November, December, um, even January. We'll have 70° days randomly, and I'll do it, you know, but in the winter time, I do end up doing a bit more red light therapy. Yes. I do cold therapy as well. Uh, I'll do cold water face immersions a lot, and I think that can go a long way with collagen production. I'll do like a little um, circuit sometimes with sauna, which is really, really good for your skin, your lymphatic system. Love sauna for that.

Yes, I do too. And then I'll do a cold plunge, or sometimes if I'm just like, I don't want to do it, I'll just put my face in, you know. And I'll also do red light therapy, and those are three things that I utilize as what I call part of my beauty routine.

Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. So then, you know, other things I think that are important to realize that people don't ever consider for a beauty routine is we minimize blue light all the time, artificial blue light. It's dehydrating to the mitochondria, it's dehydrating to the connective tissue. It actually is now being studied to be causative of things like skin cancer and wrinkles.

That's what I was going to say. There's a lot of studies out now that talk about blue light and not only melanoma but also wrinkles, skin degradation.

Like exactly. Yeah, exactly. And so, so this is a, so this is a thing, right? I mean, it's part of it's like, yes.

Yeah. We'll get to the point of like what we're putting on our faces and things like that, but we're doing all these other things. I think way more aware of all these other things that I am about what I put on my, I mean, I'm aware about what I put on my skin, and I really do like the products that I'm using, but I think it's important to understand that these are really important things as well. I, I also um, have been utilizing very, I, I, I think I mentioned this in the previous, um, in the previous episode we did on beauty, but I do a lot of hyaluronic acid stimulation. So I'll consume hyaluronic acid. Love consuming hyaluronic acid. Um, typically there's different ones that you, you can get a blend of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. I find it great for all, all forms of connective tissue in the body, so that would, that would mean like collagen and elastin, collagen in the face, but also joints. It's very good for, I, I actually started taking hyaluronic acid on the recommendation of um, Veronica Panagopoulos, okay, who, who uh, is Health doll right on Instagram, and she, um, and the one thing that, the thing that I noticed right off the bat by taking it internally was that I started to notice an improvement in my one knee that I had two surgical repairs on, and it would, it would on the way down, on the way up, and it, I just thought I would have to deal with kind of like that, that crunch sound forever, and that has since cleared up since taking hyaluronic acid internally. But that also, what is your source for that, because I know people are going to ask?

Sure. I've tried a lot of different ones. I've tried uh, Clare lab's hyaluronic acid. I've tried one called Tonic with a Q uh, at the end of it, and I most, most recently the one that I have just most recently started taking is from Olive People, or Olive Tree People. Have you heard of Olive Tree People?

No. It's got like, it, they, they'll, um, it's basically they take versions of an ol, like extracts of olive oil, if you will, um, and they've combined it with things like collagen peptides and hyaluronic acid and even some a little bit of vitamin C in it from like actual whole food source, like camu camu and, um, I've loved it, right? I've absolutely loved it, and I, I, I've only been using this one for like two weeks, three weeks now, but I absolutely noticed the difference, and I'm excited because they say just wait until, you know, it's two months from now. And so that's another internal one.

Yeah. Yeah. Go the, the cool part, I mean, I'm not gonna say it's cool, but like what really got me intrigued when I first started learning about this was it was always sold out, and it's not because they wouldn't make it, right? Like you get the email that's like, it's back in stock, and then it's like an hour later, and you're like, oh, let me check, and it's like, it's sold out, and I'm like, clearly, and then it gets rave reviews, so it really is what's u, what, why I went down that uh, that rabbit hole with this product, and I really like it. I think it's great, and there's two different ones. There's the one that is they call their, um, I think it's their 166 and 170 are two basically internal drink things that you'll consume internally. And so, yeah, give, give it a try if that, if that um, interests you at all. But I do feel like one of the best ways that we can maintain, you know, beauty, if you will, and vitality is through the inside, the inside-out. Y, do you have anything, because I got one another thing about, I'm gonna write that down.

No, I just wrote that down so I could buy some. Go ahead.

You see, I use more stuff than I, I'm just like, yeah, you know. And some of this is really due to my joints, like my knee and part, well my knee, I've had shoulder surgery for, I, I think I've said this, but I have hyper, hypermobile joints, which is what caused me to dis, I have dislocated my shoulders I don't know a hundred times in my life at this point, and I don't, right? Like my joint stability is so much better, but it's why I ultimately needed surgery as a college volleyball player, you know, I had chronic dislocations happening, and same with my knee. It's why when I was playing basketball, my knee, my knee dislocated and ultimately I tore all the ligaments, um, and so I was really looking for something to, learned about hyaluronic acid in terms of joint support, and I tried MSM, I tried Chondroitin, you know, all those typical ones, and they didn't really move the needle for me. And so I've really just been falling in love with hyaluronic acid in terms of, I know how much it holds water in the tissue, and so it supports all aspects of what I want, tissue hydration, cellular hydration, right? And then the side benefit of I think creating a nice little glow in the skin too. So all right, I'm sold. Boom.

Um, but then lastly, uh, there, so, so you know, me, you and I, we talked about this the last time, our, our little uh, bone charge, um,

Oh yeah. Y, so that one, I'll, that one I'll do to stimulate.

Y. There you go. The bone charge, red light. I also use a little face wand.

Oh yeah. I love the face wand. Love the face wand. It's great for lymphatic drainage, 'cause half the time I feel like if ever I have bags under my eyes or things like that, I just got to do some lymphatic drainage.

Yeah, same, same, you know, and it starts to really clear up. I don't have my tonsils, so I feel like that's a compromised in a dra, compromised drainage pathway in me, so I like to support that. And then, and oh, and then oh my gosh, I have so much to say about this topic. Holy cow. Um, I love um, massage, right? Like I like using Gua Sha and and things like that as well. I find, I find um, Savan Aalia's stuff fabulous, which who I think I've alluded to before. She does the face mapping and like has little myofascial release sticks that she uses, and she'll teach you how to release different parts where your fascia is stuck in your face, um, and it really actually re, it's, it's like a reflexology of your whole body. So it's like all of a sudden if you find a stuck fascia or in a certain part of your face, you look at the face map that she has associated with it, and you're like, well, that's my right knee, of, of course that makes sense why that still needs to be supported. And so, um, it just fun, I just find it fun to do on my downtime. If like some people get their hair or nails done, like I'll be like, where's my stuck fascia in my face? Or I'm in the bathtub, you like, where's the stuck fascia? That makes me wonder about fillers, people putting fillers in their face and the implications that that could have on your body, like just as a whole, like, are, I mean, doesn't it stop quantum communication essentially in the body? Like,

Yeah, I mean, I, I, I know some fillers are hyaluronic acid based. That's what I was gonna say, like they're H, because that's what people will say, oh, they're safe because they're hyaluronic acid based. I haven't looked into it enough to really have an educated opinion on this, um, but it's my concern with Botox for sure, because you need the movement and the P, like electricity to keep that tissue communicative and charged, if you will. And so all of a sudden you destroy the movement, and, um, I have a feeling that does it, it comes with some consequences that we're unaware of.

Yeah, I think so too. And yeah, just what, what, what you said about the face mapping, I mean, I would assume you wouldn't be able to properly release that fascia if there was filler there. I, I don't know, it's just an assumption.

It's possible. Absolutely. I mean, that's why I like playing around with all these methods of, yeah, supporting it, because we get it, listen, when you and I started doing this stuff, we, I think you and I both admitted like, and we, I think we got slammed in on this at some point in time that like, sun, the sun doesn't cause wrinkles. It's like, I'm living proof that, you know, you overdo something or you don't precondition your skin enough to receive it, and it's, it's possible that it absolutely can. Uh, dy, I got two little, they're gone now, but I had like, you can see them when I was, gave birth to James and I was, my first picture holding him, that was the first time I noticed it. I had two little um, brown spots on my face, sun, quote-unquote sunspots. I was like, oh, whoa. But drinking hydrogen water and doing hydrogen inhalation, and I think all the mineralizing, they're gone now. So I did get rid of them, and I didn't do any face bleaching or special creams or anything like that, but I was, I laid out in the sun like crazy, and, and I never put on a hat or covered up my face. I just did it, and then I'm like, and I know that there's other issues involved in some of those spots, like mineral imbalances, Li GBL hormones, go through a whole day in pregnancy, like you're going to have some things out of whack, like it's just part of the nature of it, you know.

Right. Right. And so that's why we're saying, if anyone's at all, you know, concerned with, with any sort of photoaging that might take place with your sun exposure, number one, be aware of your sun exposure, and number two, here's other things that we do to support it, you know. We do put hats on as soon as we feel, when I lay out in the sun, like I will take everything off from like here down, and then just, I'll have my head and chest in the shade.

Yeah, just, yeah, I still get all the sun exposure that I need, um, you know, and it's fine. So it's perfectly fine. And so just, just be aware of that. Um, I like that you brought up molecular hydrogen though, because I do think that that's also, you know, just a side, a side benefit of molecular hydrogen. I do believe it is good for all of our tissues, including our skin. I've been told multiple times, like I've had people ask me, I posted a video of me in 2019 and then did like a little transformation of me, just my face, just me talking in 2024, and people are like, what did you get done? What plastic surgery did you do? And I was like, are you new here? Are you new here? No, not, I did not do nothing.

Exactly. It was this lifestyle, it is my nutrition, it was molecular hydrogen. I am inhaling that um, from the Axiom machine now. I started with the Holy Hydrogen. I did that for about six months, and now since June I've been doing the Axiom daily. Yesterday I did like three hours just because I was working and I just had it near me. I do that every day pretty much, uh, and I'm convinced that not only is it like reverse aging me, but it's also making my metabolism crazy, you know, like my daughter's lost 30 pounds. Everyone's like, what the heck? Like what did you do to her? Did she give Rose and pick? I'm like, no, I did not.

I wonder if it acts in some way on GLP-1. I, I mean, I'd be curious. It, it probably does. It probably does in some way. Um, my chiropractor yesterday, hadn't she hadn't seen me in a year, and she was just like, what did you do? And I'm like, I've just hydrogen and the my circadian lifestyle, water, groundings, sunlight. It's not really anything crazy.

Yeah, I know. So then, um, so Carrie, I don't know about you, but I'm doing a couple little trips this summer, and what is the one thing that you're definitely going to be bringing with you on your packing list?

I love portable red light therapy for sure.

Yeah, absolutely. Exactly. It's, you can't underestimate, honestly, what red light therapy can quote-unquote treat or support when you're away from, like eating something that disagrees with you, to like your kid falls and scrapes the knee, and you want to do a little extra rep, like repair and support, to a headache, to an earache, to like, you name it, or, and just then as general maintenance, right? Or like, let's say you, you're at the beach, you want to precondition your skin, right? All these things, and, and you know, or you're traveling on an airplane, and you want to kind of offset some of that mitochondrial damage naturally happen from being in a plane, like I know Dr. Sarah brings her little, this is our Bone Charge Mini, and you can use the code QuantumPod to save on yours, but I know she will just kind of put it thyroid right, because when you're in an airplane, you are exposed to high levels of non-native EMF, and a little panel can be a great way to support your mitochondria to make more exclusions Z water, so that there's a little bit of a protective barrier when you're in those high-stress environments.

Right. Exactly. And then also, in a pinch, in a pinch, I'll use that, like, let's say in a hotel room or something, to turn on light if I need to, right? Be right, it's just a really, in a pinch, it's a really good way just to kind of almost like act as a flashlight or illuminate the space at night, you know, um, if you need to for some reason. So I found so many uses for up that portable red light therapy.

Yep, it's awesome. So if you are interested in one of these, you can use the code QuantumPod. This is by Bone Charge. They are sponsoring the podcast. We really appreciate that, and uh, check them out. There's a link down in the show notes. Let's talk, I guess in the last, well, we have maybe 10 minutes or so about what we put on our physical bodies. So where do you go?

Yeah. So I'll be honest, like I do still get my hair dyed twice a year, like the last time I did any blonde was May, and it, this is so, yeah, I did, I do like a little face frame, and I use the stuff called butter lightener. I have my hairdresser do it. Um, I went in May, and I'm, do I feel like I should go probably before the holidays, but this is like, yeah, that you can see my natural hair versus, I do get a little bit of color put in. Um, that's about it, like because, you know, people are like, I don't do hair dye anymore, and maybe I'll get to that point one day where I just don't do it anymore, but I do, I do like doing it, and I do it twice a year, right? So I'm not going every six weeks. I'm not doing it all the time, um, like I, I used to go every six weeks, and I would stay like platinum blond, and I just kind of let go of that. Um, and then I will, I do use just like Aveda hair stuff, which I know is not good for you. I know you have some better, like Living Libations, I think is what you use.

I do. Yeah, I know it's more expensive, but well, Aveda is, you know, expensive too, but you and I don't wash our hair though.

I do not. I wash my hair like, right now I'm going on almost two weeks. This is, this is almost two weeks. Um, it will not look good probably by Friday, I, if when I hit that two-week mark, it will be time, but I can usually go a couple weeks. I didn't wash my hair at all for about 18 months, but then I had, um, I did the no-shampoo method, but then I had a baby, and baby vomit. Yeah, he was like pulling out handfuls, like I have pictures of him like holding on to my hair, and then like he just threw it, puked in my hair, and it was just like, you know what, I'm smelly, I'm postpartum, all my hormones are whacked out, like we are washing this hair. It's okay to wash the hair. I broke my, you know, like 18 months of no shampoo, and, um, yeah, and I haven't found a natural product that I love, and I know people will suggest some, but I really like my Aveda stuff, and I use a minuscule amount every one to two weeks. Again, if I was doing that every single day, I think I would be really concerned about it, just like if I was dying my hair every six weeks, I would be really concerned about it, but I do so many other things to support healthy drainage pathways being open, uh, my overall health. I'm not super, castor oil packs, which I have, I have to be super careful with castor oil packs because I don't live a toxic lifestyle, and it does pull my hormones down, which is interesting. Oh, if I do a castor oil pack the week before my cycle, my period comes early every time, by like five days, every time, and I'm like, what the, oh yeah, I did castor oil packs. Every time, clockwork. Yeah, and some women in my group are the same way. They've been on toxic for a really long time. They get into the castor oil packs because they like them, and they feel, they do feel really good, your digestion looks good, your skin looks good. I love them, but then they're like, my eyes are dry, what's happening? Like they, and then they have all these like symptoms, and I'm like, you did, you're doing too much, like you got to be careful with those. So it's all dependent on your, your lifestyle as a whole.

Um, yeah, that's all. Yeah, that's, that's an interesting observation. I love the fact that I don't love the fact that you experienced it, but I love the fact that you can now share that with us because that's a fascinating observation.

Yeah. So what do you put on your body for like face cream or lotion or things like that?

So I talked about it in our last episode a little bit, but um, and I don't have a code or anything like that, but Angelica is somebody that was uh, I know her from Instagram. It's her company, Sun and Moo, and it's all these tallow products, and I love the um, the Age Reverse is one of my favorites. She also has one that has magnesium in it that I'll use. That's always sold out, but I, I love taking a hot magnesium bath before bed and then putting on her tallow magnesium before bed. Um, I love those tallow products, and again, I don't have a code for them or anything. I just really like them.

Yeah. And those tallow products don't always resonate with everyone's skin. Everyone's skin is different, right? So you got to just, you got, this truly is a trial and error on this one. Um, I love um, in the summertime, I love Living Libations. I love her sea buckthorn and every, and her Everybody Loves Sunshine. Those are my favorites. And that's, that Everybody Loves Sunshine is a sea buckthorn-based one, uh, really works for me. And I do actually, I got a discount code there now, CarriB, so, so can I use my, because there's a lot of ladies in my group, we just had this conversation about a week ago, and a few of the ladies were like, I cannot use tallow. It makes my skin break out. I don't like it. And then a few, I was like, well, I don't know. And then a few other ladies chimed in, and they were all like, Living Libations, living, they love those products. And so I think that's a really great, um, and now use the discount code CarriB, and it's, um, it's a, it's a yeah, just an alternative that I think is super clean, right? What we're looking for is something that's super clean that serves your purpose. And so, uh, I do, I, I resonate really well with tallow too, so I'm excited to try, I've got tallow from a local company, um, that I got from, it was in a goodie bag for my sister-in-law's wedding that I, I absolutely love, um, but what I want to do is, um, check out that one from Angelica, because in the winter time especially in Michigan, I, with the wind and stuff, it's like I do feel like my skin needs a tallow every once in a while. And so I am so excited to check out her products. That'll be fun.

Yeah, the Age Reverse one is really good, and Fancy Whipped, right? You said, is that the whipped one?

It's whipped. It's super velvety, creamy. I gave one to Sarah when she was here. She took it, get back with her. Um, Fancy Farms is another good one. I, I use their stuff too. I think my code there is Sarah10, Sarah15, I don't know. I haven't bought from them in a while because they're always sold out. They have really good goat milk soap and tallow soaps that are handmade, um, but they, they're always sold out, like they'll have a release and then they're sold out. So yeah, I sign, that's, it's a good product, right? A sign, I am, oh, so for tallow, oh, I, for, I also like Loule Botanicals. She does a great job. Uh, she's been through actually the QBC, the owner has been through the QBC certification, so she understands like this idea that you, you're, she's an aesthetician who is not telling people to avoid the sun, but instead do these other things. It's all natural products, really great stuff as well. So I would highly recommend her, her products as well. Uh, it's Lulei uh, Botanicals on Instagram. Um, oh, deodorant. I get this, and I, you know, sometimes I wear it, sometimes I don't, but I, I love, it's called, I think it's called Lymph Rescue, all 100% natural, like nothing garbage in it, and it's from Clear Water Cultures. Okay. So same with deodorant, like sometimes I don't, majority of the time I don't use it, like I don't need it. Um, every now and then it'll sneak up on me, but everyone, every now and then, like, s me, wait a minute.

Yeah, but I really like, must be detoxing. It's usually around a hormonal cy, like time that it's usually like right before my cycle starts or maybe day one that I'll be like, o, we, it's periods coming, 'cause I'll have a little, you know, like, but most the time I don't. I haven't really used deodorant regularly for probably since 2019 when I started doing a carnivore diet, and it was an accident how I found out. I was like, I used to have to keep, I called it the real deodorant, because you know, all the yoga people, they all are into like the holistic deodorants, but I was, yeah, the crystal, which by the way, y'all, does not work. Um, I would be in hot yoga classes, I would be teaching hot yoga classes, and I would be teaching, and then I'd put everyone in child's pose, and I'd be like, you know, and so it got, it got to the point where I was having to use like Secret deodorant, and I had one in my car in the glove compartment and in my purse because my, I was smelling so bad. Did carnivore diet, and I was at the three-month mark of carnivore, and I was in a hot yoga class and had the realization that I had forgotten any deodorant of any sort that day, and I did my s.m. smell test, and I was like, what? I don't smell. Is this real? Like, and I, and I didn't smell. And so I was like, hm, and from then on I did not need to wear deodorant anymore. It was gone, like after I went carnivore, clean up my diet and everything, it was, I really didn't need to use deodorant anymore. I didn't smell. And trust me, my husband would tell me, he would tell me, right? He would tell me if my breath doesn't smell good. When you got kids or husband, significant other, see my son's too young to do that. I know he will though. I know he'll punk me out when he's older. Yeah, but yeah, so that, I use Primally Pure though, that's the one I use if, um, if I feel like it's, that when it's kind of intuitively feel like I might need it that day, that's the one I use. No affiliation. And I love oil pulling um, for my teeth. I'm obsessed with oil pulling. Um, I'll probably do that 20 minutes every night while I'm in the bathtub.

Wow. Yeah, I love it. And my husband always wants to have serious conversations with me while I'm oil, like he's like, oh no, you're doing your thing. Okay, I can nod yes or no, but we're not having a serious disc, I can't get interject.

Yeah, but that's one thing I've added in the last six months or so that I freaking love. Oil, what oil do you use for oil pulling?

Regular unrefined coconut oil. Y. Yep, just spoon it in, swish it, and good to go. I used to use one that had like a little bit of peppermint oil in it, but then somebody told me you probably shouldn't put essential oils in your mouth, um, it could degrade the enamel, like there's issues with it. So I just stick with the coconut oil.

Interesting. Yeah, I don't know how true that is, but I was like, okay, well, I could just do regular, and it's cheaper than buying the little packets.

Makeup, we have like three minutes left, but that's probably all we need. Oh, make, oh, makeup, we don't even need three minutes for this one. Living Libations mascara. Boom. Go. I don't know what kind I use. I, I, and because I wear it maybe like if I have to film, and that's it, but uh, the Natural Minded Mama, Aaron on Instagram, yeah, whatever she's promoting at the time, I'm like, okay, I'll buy that one. Cool. And the same thing, like if I'm going to put a little powder on, I'll use whatever she's promoting. I wear makeup maybe one, one day a week, if that. Like you run into me in public, uh, I'm not going to have any makeup on more, most of the time.

Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Totally. Totally. Pump tail, no makeup, no problem. Um, yeah, yeah. No, that's I think really, really good. Oh yeah. And then just for teeth, or for teeth, I do like um, I, I like Living Libations stuff. I love her oral care stuff, and I also like um, I like RiseWell. I have RiseWell too. My, I think my code there is Sarah. Um, I've got, I think I have a code. I'm not sure. You can check, but yeah, excuse your code and, um, and my son loves the RiseWell toothpaste too, like James love, he when he gets in his bath, he's like, "Tees my," so they, they, they probably sent you, they sent me, um, you know, a sampler kit too from, from the Rise company, and, um, the one, it's interesting, the one that was designed for kids, which was the cake batter, my kids were just like, oh, they didn't like it.

Uh-huh. But they like the, they like the, the unflavored or the mint. Yeah, see, my son, I tried, I ran out of the kids', and I gave him some of mine, and he was like very mad about it. He's like, no way, no way. This is does not taste like cake batter.

No, it's funny. I think we got enough in there, right? We got a lot of stuff.

I think so. Yeah, I think so. All right. Well, that's our beauty, well, maybe we'll do another one in six months, but if you have questions, let us know too, but not much changes, well, except I'm going to be doing this Olive Tree People thing for longer, and maybe you'll start it too. So yeah, I'm going to, I'm, I've got it written down. I'm going to buy it.

Awesome. All right. We'll see you next time.
