Hey, beautiful people. Today we're going to talk about the five systems that everybody needs in order to have a successful, well-balanced life. I'm going to walk you through the five systems that I definitely prioritize, talk to you a little bit about what's in each of those systems, and more importantly, why you need each of these systems in order to keep your life organized and well balanced. So, let's go ahead and get started.

So, the first system that you're going to need is what I like to say is the system that sets the tone for the remainder of your day, and that's your morning rituals and how you start your day. Now, whether you are getting up at 5:00 in the morning to start your day or you're getting up at 10:00 in the morning to start your day, how you intentionally start your day sets that chain reaction for the remainder of the day. Now, more specifically, I think that there is three components to a good morning, no matter what time you start. If you've watched my channel, you know that I like to start my morning about 5:00 a.m., between 5:00 and 5:30. But no matter what time you wake up, these are the three key pieces that you really need to have in the morning.

First one is you need to be very intentional about what the day in front of you is looking like. Spending that time in the morning to understand what meetings you have ahead of you, what commitments, what obligations you have, the things that you have to do, the goals that you have in front of you, and the components of those goals that you're going to do in that day in order to inch towards them, just giving yourself a blueprint for what the day in front of you looks like. Now, I truly believe the work for that starts the night before, but I do think that there has to be some mindful intention and understanding what's in front of you.

The second component of that day is going to be a way to pour back into yourself, whether it's mentally or spiritually. It doesn't require you necessarily to move your body, but it does require you to tap into whether it's God, meditation, journaling, quiet time, looking out the window, sipping coffee, just a little bit of time that belongs to you, that's carved out to you to clear your mind. So think about it as you have a very clear vision about what's in front of you and you have cleared your mind of all of the things that you know are in front of you and there is a moment to deescalate before the day gets started in order to move forward.

And then the third component of a successful morning is I do believe that quite honestly a morning without movement is, I think in my personal opinion, a wasted morning. None of it doesn't need to mean that you need to go run three or four miles every morning, but just some type of movement to pour back into your physical body. Now, I definitely believe in working out in the morning, but it could be as simple as stretching. It could be mindfulness with um some kind of light yoga or Pilates, just something that gets the blood flowing that says that you have already poured back into yourself mentally and physically before the day has ever begun.

The next one is tied back to your physical well-being because in case you haven't picked up on a theme here, if your physical well-being isn't where it needs to be, it's really hard for your spiritual mental health well-being to be focused. Think about it. Think about being sick or worrying about some kind of ailment and then trying to be in a good place mentally and physically like or mentally and spiritually. So really pouring back into the systems that really outline two major components. That is what you're putting into your body as far as food and nourishment goes and then how you are taking care of the exterior of your body. So you need to have a system that probably revolves around a way to put you in a situation where you have access to healthy meals or you are devoting time to some kind of nutritional value, i.e., meal prep. For me, that's every Sunday. It really doesn't take that long. It probably only takes about an hour of my day, but I really look ahead of the week and figure out these are the things that I'm going to have for breakfast. Get my smoothie things prepped, get my meal prepped and my lunches prepped. Have a somewhat idea of what we're going to have for dinner for at least the first three days of the week. And just really putting myself in a situation so that when I get to work, I am not in a situation where I am not prepared physically with my food and then I have to make a choice that isn't the best nutritionally. So having some type of system in your life where you're addressing the nutrition and the components that you're putting in your body.

And then there's the exterior part of your body which is how you look. And I think that there is something that doesn't get said enough: feel good. Doesn't mean that you have to be taking some kind of very expensive treatments. It doesn't mean that you have to be spending tons of money to do that. But taking care of something as basic as your skin, which is really, I think, probably the most important thing, much more important than your hair or makeup. Taking care of your skin, taking care of how you smell, taking care of how you dress for work or dress for around the house, like being as comfortable as possible, but then in a situation where you also feel confident as possible. So, when I think about the level of confidence that I feel the highest, it's when I feel like my body is where it needs to be nutritionally and physically, but also where it needs to be as far as my hydration goes with my water. But then also, I'm in outfits that are cute, but they're also comfortable because quite honestly, I'm too old for me to be in some kind of painful outfit for the sake of beauty. Though, I will occasionally put on a heel that does challenge that notion.

The next system you need is a personal growth and development system. Now, I absolutely am obsessed with pouring back into myself. I love watching videos here on YouTube where other people my age that look like me are pouring back into themselves physically, mentally, spiritually. I like to grab tips from them. I love a good self-help book. It's probably my favorite genre. And there's all kinds of things that I can listen to on Audible or reading them in real life on my Kindle or even a hardcore paperback or hardcover book in my hand. Just something that pours back into me where it gives me some things to think about. There are lots of systems and authors that I read and I don't read a book like atomic habits or the 12-week year or free to focus or some of those books that I really love and say I am going to make my system. What I do is I look for the themes within those systems and I figure out which of these components would be best for me. But it's constantly the cycle of personal growth. The other thing I really try to think about personal growth, especially as I get older, is spiritually: What kind of life am I leading? How am I treating people? How am I talking to people? The other day, I wanted to send a text message to someone so bad that was really not saying the nicest thing about someone. And I really caught myself and I didn't send it because I felt quite honestly convicted. But more importantly, it goes back to being aligned with how do I want to live my life? Because quite honestly, if I'm pouring into myself from a standpoint of self-development, then I've got to walk the walk and talk the talk.

The next system you need is a financial system. Look, I don't know how you are in your life. I don't know where you are in your life, but a good strong financial system, quite honestly, it doesn't mean that your future is secure. What it does mean though is that you have more options in your future. So what I strongly suggest is no matter if you are in a fiscal situation where you can barely even reach paying your bills or not even able to do that or you make an excessive amount of money and you're able to live quite comfortably above probably the average lifestyle, you need to have some type of plan. And I have been in the continuum of all of them. I will link this video here on how to never be broke because I have been broke. Not now definitely, but there were a lot of life lessons along the way to get there. But you have to find, have a financial system. And the most basic financial thing that you need to have in place is a budget. If you have a budget, that's the gateway to being able to make different decisions about how you allocate your money. It will help you make decisions about how often you should eat out, if you should take this trip or not. It will help you make decisions about how much money you want to potentially put into your retirement or your children's college fund or how much money you want to invest in going back to school or starting a business. Like having a budget and having a good understanding of what your dollars look like and how they work for you quite honestly allows you the opportunity to have way more freedom than the restriction of not understanding what's going on in your bank accounts. And definitely seek professional help before you make any kind of decisions that are going to involve large sums of money as far as implications for taxes. Thinking about um what is a better retirement option if you're closer to retirement or further retirement. Your risk looks different. So really just being able to do some research whether it's online or talking to somebody that can help you make some decisions before you move or navigate any kind of large sum of money. But have a financial system because there's nothing worse than getting to the place where you are in life where you want to live your life in a way that you can't because you didn't make good sound financial decisions earlier.

And everyone needs a system for adventure. And let's just stop right here. Adventure doesn't always mean traveling. Adventure means anything that I can envision that makes my soul excited. So, adventure could be trying new restaurants in the town that you live in. Adventure can absolutely be jumping on an airplane and going someplace you've never been before. Adventure could be learning a new dance. Adventure could be all kinds of things. I don't know when you're watching this video, but right now there's a really popular sound, Boots on the Ground, and there's a whole dance. You got to have your fan. And so, anything that makes you feel alive. When I'm out there on that dance floor and I'm having a good time and the rhythm is moving, that's an adventure; that's not going to be something I'm going to be doing normally in my house in my she-shed. And so whatever the adventure it is that you need to achieve to scratch that itch and more importantly that makes you feel alive and fulfilled. And this is the thing: adventure for a lot of people is synonymous with a luxury. That means I take care of everything and then if I get the opportunity I will travel, I will participate in adventure, I will do things to make me feel alive. Well, that is probably one of the things that you would be doing that's a disservice. You've got to find a way to incorporate adventure and just being things that make you feel alive in your day-to-day life. And you have to think about it. If you go the opposite direction and you only live for adventure and you don't think responsibility, then you might find yourself in a detrimental place down the road. So, you've got to find that happy medium. But what I can tell you is if you live a life that's consumed by focusing on other people and it's a life that's consumed by never taking the opportunity to do things you enjoy, you will let life pass you by. And that's the last thing you need to be doing with the vessel that God has given you. So I really encourage you to think about how you're going to incorporate more adventure, laughter, and excitement into your life. What is your system for that? Have you ever even considered having a system for that?

Well, those are the five systems that I think every woman needs in order to live a fulfilled, balanced life. I am encouraging you to look at those systems in your life and think about the areas where you are the strongest and give yourself kudos for showing up every day, whether it's physically, whether you show up for yourself financially, whether you show up for yourself in a self-development way. And then look at the areas where you definitely have the opportunity to improve. And the other thing I want to make sure that I leave you with this is that those systems do not have to be on all cylinders at all times at the same time. There are times in my life where I am exactly where I need to be financially. And maybe I'm not where I need to be physically. There are times in my life where I'm killing it physically, but maybe I'm not pouring back into myself as far as empowering and learning and enriching and expanding on my knowledge. But what I will tell you is that I don't ever operate with all five systems down at the same time. You just can't do that in order to be fulfilled. And what I will say is that most of my systems are up and running in a good way at all times and then I tweak according to them. And it's okay to lower in one area in order to increase the other so that you get balance across the board. So, as always, I hope this was helpful and I will see you all in the next
