What is prehistory? No kingdoms, no temples, no script, just tools, bones and survival. This is prehistory in India. That means everything before 2500 B.C.E. Even before the Indus Valley civilization.
So how do we know what happened back then? Not from books, but from everything early humans left behind. Stone tools, fireplaces, animal bones, and cave paintings. Archaeologists dig up these clues to understand what people ate, where they lived and how people evolved.
India's prehistory goes back to 15 lakh years with sites like Atirapakkam, Bhimbetka and Mahadaha. No names, no dates, but every tool, every bone tells us a story of how we became us. Follow for more stories from India's ancient past.
