AI is going to cause massive job loss. And so I've put together a list of the top 40 types of jobs that are going to go away. And you might think this is sometime in the distant future. No, my analysis is for this year all the way through the end of 2025. It's only going to get worse after that.
So before I get going on the list, I need to let you know just something right up front and that is there are three levels or stages of AI and we're in the first third of the second stage. So let me tell you what these stages are because they're very important that you understand them.
The first stage is called ANI, which is narrow intelligence. And we've had that around for quite a while. That's your Siri. Uh, it's your artificial intelligence that helps with face recognition and editing photos and translating, um, foreign languages, things like that. That's been around for quite a while now. So that was the first level.
The second level, uh, they got into just a few years ago, which is AGI, which is artificial general intelligence. And what the goal is with that is if they reach 100% artificial general intelligence, that means that the AI will know everything every human ever knows. It is going to be able to be a PhD in every single subject and respond to you within milliseconds with an answer and analysis.
So, general intelligence is scary, but it's not the scariest one. And the, the scariest one is the next level, which is ASI, artificial super intelligence. And what's going to happen with that one is, uh, the artificial intelligence will be created in such a way that it can rewrite its own code and evolve on its own. And the reason that one's going to come rapidly is because it's going to have all of the capabilities of AGI, which is general. Um, but AGI is actually going to help create the ASI, which is kind of weird. It's not humans working on artificial super intelligence and making strides in that as much as soon as they get done making AGI. AGI is going to help create this other sort of a monster.
Now, right now, I'm going to focus on AGI because we're in the middle of that right now. And when I say middle, we're actually kind of early middle. And I'm talking about, uh, chat GPT and things like that, but I'm mostly going to be talking about Grock right now. And Grock 4, um, it's been in the works for a while and not everybody has access access to it, but Elon Musk himself said the capabilities of this type of technology is terrifying.
Now, that blows my mind a little bit, but you have to understand that here's this guy saying, "This is terrifying, but he's funding this. He's, Elon Musk is funding this terrifying thing." And why do they do that? Because if they don't fund it, someone else funds it. So, they're trying to get ahead of the game and have the most advanced and the most dominant AI out there. And if they don't do it, somebody else will. So, this is happening at rapid pace.
And AGI, we're going to talk about it just in, in forms of percentages, but AGI, uh, used to be at about 8% of 100. 100 is it knows everything humans know and can do everything humans can do, minus, um, emotions and things like that. So right now we're at approximately, I would say Grock is, Grock 4 is at approximately 16% of 100 and it's, it's not advancing like this. It's advancing like this. So if it takes 1 year to go 8%, then next time around it can take 6 months to go 8% and it just keeps getting faster and faster because AGI kind of helps create itself. They use it to help solve its own problems. So we're going to reach 100% within the next two years.
But my calculations for these top 40 job losses and I'm going to, I'm going to give you the list here in a second. These are based on right now projecting that AGI, which is artificial general intelligence, which is already happening, will be at only 30% by the end of this year. So my calculations are based on that. Keep that in mind.
And now, let's get right to it. And this is the list that you guys are going to want to pay attention to because you're either on this list, your family, your friends are on this list, or you have a, a school-age child and they're looking to go off to college or something like that. I need you guys to look at this list because that could affect the decision that somebody should be making because right now, uh, a lot of college degrees aren't going to mean anything anymore. I mean, they, they already started not meaning anything, but they're really going to be useless in, uh, quite a few fields. So, let's get right into this.
So number one is data entry clerks. Now, these are your typical office workers. They're people that work for medical billing and, uh, tax accountants. Uh, all kinds of industries use data entry clerks. It's just a matter of being able to put data into databases so it can be used by the company. Uh, most of those jobs are going to be gone by the end of this year.
The second most impacted industry, which is not quite as, uh, popular in the United States, but it is telemarketers. Now, the telemarketer jobs are going to almost all disappear because AI can speak with a person very accurately and they can speak in their own dialect and, and their own language. And what I'm talking about is most of the telemarketers on earth are in India. And in the United States, when people get somebody on the phone from India, sometimes there's a suspicion they're getting ripped off. Sometimes there's a, you know, they have a hard time understanding their dialect and things like that. Well, AI is going to replace most of those people. And it is going to be able to talk on the phone with an American accent or if it's talking to people in Europe, it'll be talking in their language and their accent.
That particular one, I know you guys are celebrating and you're saying, "Well, good. You know, I'm glad their jobs are going away." But the problem you guys are going to have is when you get that phone call, you won't know if it's a real person. They'll be talking almost in your region. Like if you're from the South, uh, um, you know, Southern New, United States, they could be talking to, in, in your home people's dialect and it's going to be a little bit scary that way. But the main thing I want to get to on the telemarketer thing is that India is going to start seeing massive unemployment. It is going to be one of the most impacted countries on earth and we don't know what's going to happen with that. You know, and keep in mind, guys, uh, India is a nuclear power. They've got, they've got nuclear weapons, so we don't want to see places like that just come unglued.
So now the third job that's going to really be impacted and disappear is customer service representatives. Now, what are these guys? Well, they are the ones you call in or, you know, you're online and you need some help from a company. Uh, whether it be technical support or returning an item or questions about an item, these jobs are going to almost entirely be gone and they're going to be done by AI. It's already happening. If you guys notice that there are a lot of people that have lost their jobs in that industry.
Now, the other one I'm noticing the most because I am a software developer. I've been writing software since the 1980s and I'm very plugged in and tuned into that field. And I'm noticing so many young software developers and software engineers are being either laid off, which is another term for fired. They're being let go. And it's happening just by the droves right now. I'm talking, I know dozens within the last week that I've heard from that have lost their jobs because the software company is now able to create software code using AGI, which is general intelligence. It's the stuff that's already happening.
So software developers, you know, that used to be a hot field to go into and, you know, you could go to college or school and get out and you get a high-paying job and stuff like that. Well, some of these guys getting laid off in the software field are talking about working at fast food restaurants because they're so desperate. They can't seem to find work because there are so many of them being laid off right now. So keep that in mind. Even if you're in a real technical thing, it is not protected at all.
Number five, assembly line workers. More and more of these type of workers are being replaced all of the time. Now, AI doesn't have full capability to move around, but they're starting to adapt AI to more robotic machinery and they can run these machines 24 hours a day and they don't complain. So companies are starting to shed factory workers.
All right. So, the next one is retail cashiers. And you've already seen this at Walmart and you're going to start seeing it in more stores. I think that one's going to be a little lagging because, you know, they have the, these stores when, when you go full automated or you, you don't do it right or you don't seem to care, then people seem to rebel and they seem to go, they try to get a, a good mixture between checking out really quick but yet somebody who cares, you know, a person. So, uh, there are going to be more retail cashiers being let go. So, that was number six.
Number seven, bookkeepers. Now, what are bookkeepers? Well, bookkeepers are the people who keep track of payroll at a company, uh, taxes, withholdings, and things like that. Now, AI can do pretty much all bookkeeping tasks and do it very accurately and they're being replaced right now left and right. So that is not a good field to be in.
Number eight, receptionists. Now, these are the people that handle phone calls and booking and things like that. AI is starting to replace receptionists.
Number nine, payroll clerks. Anybody who is in payroll processing and, and passing out either paper checks or, or getting your paycheck deposited in your account. Nearly all of those are going to go away because AI can just do that now. AI is tapped in with the bank and can be tapped in with the company and there's no need for payroll clerks anymore.
Number 10, inventory managers. There are thousands and thousands of people employed at warehouses, stores, things like that that their entire job is to keep track of the count of products that are in the warehouse or in the store and then order products as they get depleted. Most of these jobs are going to be replaced by AI really soon and many have already.
Number 11, travel agents. Now, it used to be when I was younger, you could actually go to a person and they had arranged your entire trip. And then after that, you start getting Trave Velocity, Expedia. So, we start going to those websites and things like that. Well, now AI is actually going to be more efficient than most of those places. So when you go to take a vacation, AI will understand your likes and your personality and your allergies and your everything. It'll understand everything about you and plan the most nearly perfect vacation you could ever imagine. It'll put you in the hotels that are just perfect for you, suggest the restaurants that you like, and plan an itinerary based on what you're interested in. So the travel industry is going to be massively shaken up by AI and it already is.
The next thing is, um, this is kind of an old thing, but it, it's a, there are still people that are proofreaders and what proofreaders are is if you write a book or you're writing a magazine article or you're, uh, writing a technical document or stuff like that. It used to be humans would just go through and they would double-check everything. And even when AI came out, like chat GPT, and you could write something, you still needed a proofreader. You needed a human to double-check that the AI wasn't, uh, being a drunken librarian, like I've referred to it as. Um, so proofreaders are going to be gone.
Mail sorters. Now, mail sorters is an interesting thing because in companies they have mail rooms and things like that. Well, those jobs are going to start going away. I'm excluding the government because what's interesting is a lot of jobs are going to go away, but the government is, is slow to do anything. They're not going to become more efficient with AI overnight because of the government employee unions and things like that. So, they're still going to probably keep a lot of postal workers and things like that. So, I'm excluding government right now. Uh, if you have a government job, uh, like I said, they're slow to react. So, you know, I don't know.
All right. So, here's another humongous one is bank tellers. Bank tellers are already disappearing. Entire bank buildings are starting to close because they're having you either do everything online with AI or if you go in, uh, there's kiosks and things like that. The, the ATM machines are going to become more advanced than ever for your banking purposes. So, uh, bank tellers are something that I have actually been getting wind of. Some of the largest banks in the United States are going to be laying off, uh, hundreds of thousands of their workers. So, that is going to be a humongous impact on that industry.
All right. So, file clerks, uh, you can understand why they'll be replaced. Um, some of the government courts and things like that, they're going to start, I know it's going to be slow, but some of them just don't have a big budget, and there are companies offering them AI service to where the AI will handle all of the, uh, organizing documents and things like that. And that's not just in the courts, it's also in companies.
Another one that's going to be totally gone is anybody who does transcribing and, and you mostly see that in courtrooms and things like that, but you, you also see it, um, you know, when somebody is, is speaking and somebody's writing it down. Um, all of that is going to be replaced by AI. That one's obvious.
Now the next one is one that is really being impacted heavily right now and that is paralegals. So here's something interesting about the legal stuff. Now paralegals, they are people that did a lot of the, the tedious work for lawyers. So they prepare documents, they word documents, they, they have these templates, they load them, and then they put in the information and things like that. Well, nearly all paralegals are going to lose their job. And it's already happening.
Now, lawyers, I wouldn't feel too safe if I was you because there is going to be a point when all lawyers are replaced by AI. And why is that? Because there's going to be a need for someone cheaper than you guys because you guys are expensive. You bleed people dry. AI has the potential to represent people way more effectively than lawyers and possibly not let things slip through the cracks. So, you guys watch in the future for that one.
Number 18, web developers. Now, these are the guys that create websites and online shopping and things like that. And now AI is so good at creating entire websites, not just web pages and content, but entire websites for companies in just seconds. So these guys who are in this field are highly, highly likely to be let go and some of them who are freelancing, uh, they're just not going to find work unless they can harness the AI and help people create the websites by being kind of the middleman. But other than that, uh, they'll soon be extinct.
All right. Shipping clerks. Um, a lot of those jobs are gonna, are going to disappear. A lot of them have already. And those are the guys that basically, um, get your package ready from a company and ship it out to you or other companies or whatever. Uh, shipping clerks can be completely replaced by AI.
Now another one I, I sort of mentioned on earlier under customer service, but it, this is a huge, uh, part of an industry and it's tech support. You know, I mentioned it could be under customer service because customer service people, they have a tendency to have to wear a lot of hats, but there are entire, uh, industry of technical support for companies and most of that is going to disappear. And the reason for that is because a lot of companies that you know, big companies we know have years ago started using India for their tech support. So if you, you bought a, a product in America, it's a big huge company, you need some help with it, you call and you get someone in India. Well, that's going to be another one that impacts India big time, but it's going to impact America as well because there are a lot of tech support people in America. And AI is going to nearly replace all of them when it comes to not in-person tech support. When I say in-person, I mean if you have something in your home that breaks down and they send someone. That's not what I mean. I'm talking about when you call in or you are online and you are needing tech support. It's going to all be done by AI.
Now, here's an interesting one. HR, you know, you guys know what HR is. HR is human resources. Human resources can be some of the most hated people in a company. And what's interesting is some of these software guys I've seen recently get laid off or let go. They'd say, you know, I just went there. I started working and HR showed up in my office. And I'm like, oh no, that can't be good. Uh, yeah, when HR shows up in your office, it isn't good. And ironically, those hated people will be replaced by AI.
Another job is content monitors. Um, it's just basically, uh, people, especially like on, um, big social media platforms, they do have people, a lot of them are in India, but they have people that are able to put human eyes on something somebody wrote or posted to see if it's offensive or should be removed or whatever they, they, they want to do. Well, most of those people are going to go away and it's going to go to AI. I don't know how I feel about that because AI is still going to be controlled by humans. The guidelines for it are set by people. So, you know, AI is going to be very biased as well.
So, another industry that's going to be impacted is financial analysts. Uh, there used to be entire offices of people, especially like in, you know, Wall Street in New York City, and their entire job was to just study charts, graphs, trends, news, everything to help make either financial decisions for companies for the future or they make decisions for investing money, like the stock market and everything else. That is going to be completely replaced by AI.
So number 24, project managers. This one is a lot of your middle management people. And what I say by middle management is you have your CEOs and your top executives and then they want to get something done for the company. They have a vision and then you have all these workers who have no clue about the vision. They just are there to work. Well, the middle management implements the will of the CEO and the executives onto the, the bottom people. Well, these project managers and these middle managers, they're going to be gone because AI will much more efficiently come up with a plan and monitor progress on what the little people are doing. So, the little people at a company are going to eventually be answering only to AI. And AI, I predict this, guys, if they don't comply at a company, AI will be given the ability to fire them, if AI finds that they are inefficient and no longer needed. So, I think it's going to be just a one-stop shop where AI is actually going to be millions of people's bosses. They're going to answer directly to AI, which to me, I don't know about you guys, but that one's really disturbing. I wouldn't like to be answering to AI and I think a lot of us are going to end up doing it.
All right. Another one is marketing assistants. Now, what marketing assistants are is if you have a marketing firm or even a company that needs help with marketing, AI can figure out marketing plans and how to get your ads out much faster than a human can do it with a much more analytical approach. So, marketing people are going to be just about extinct.
Number 26 is data analysts. Now, these are mostly junior people. And when I say AI is going to start really replacing people, it's going to start attacking the junior whoever's first. And I'm talking about if you're in software engineering, it's going to be your junior software programmers. It's going to replace all them first. Well, same with data analysts. It's going to start replacing the junior ones and then work right up to the senior ones. And data analysts are basically, uh, people who crunch data and help companies or, or whoever make decisions.
Number 27, logistics coordinators. Now, what that is is it's your people that are usually in companies like FedEx, UPS, uh, your freight companies, your ocean shipping companies. These are the people that plan the deliveries and optimize the routes and, and everything to get products moved from point A to point B. Nearly all of those people will be unemployed. AI will be doing their job.
Number 28, quality control inspectors. Um, this one here happens at factories and assembly lines where a part is made and we used to have people take a look at the part or watch them go by and just grab the ones that look broken, look defective. Well, AI is now able to do that much more accurately and much quicker.
All right, guys. Here's a big one at the offices, administrative assistants. And this is kind of what I was talking about where you have, you know, your upper people in a company and you have an assistant. And if you watch the, you know, the television television shows about offices and things like that, you'll see that the assistant, you know, when the person who is doing the executive work at a company needs a cup of coffee, the assistant will get the cup of coffee, goes and gets the mail. May even run down and pick out a suit for them or something. You know, they're there to do anything and everything to keep that valuable executive from having to run and do all that stuff. So, administrative assistants, there's going to be some of that that still can't be replaced by AI, but there's going to be an enormous amount that is replaced. Uh, especially schedule planning and preparation of speeches and documents and, uh, planning the future for a business. So administration assistants, um, you're going to see more than half of those be terminated.
So number 30 is graphics designers. And you can understand why they're going to get terminated because they're the people that for decades have been creating the labels for products, the illustration for books, graphics for commercials on TV, billboards, you name it. Um, you guys have seen how AI is able to create such realistic, uh, pictures and video and it's only going to get more accurate. And so graphic designers are a thing of the past. The only graphic designers there will be in the short term is the ones that tell the AI what they want and the AI creates it. Therefore, the graphic designers don't even have to be that smart. It could be a child could tell the AI what it's thinking and it'll create something amazing. So, graphic designers are a thing of the past.
Social media managers, um, that's one that is has been a little bit more recent because when you're posting online or a company's presence is online, social media managers, they, uh, help keep your online presence, uh, looking good and responding to people and being at the right places. Uh, they're all going to be disappearing because AI is going to do that a lot better. And as AI starts progressing and getting further into, uh, I'm going to talk on a different video about a different type of AI that's in development right now. And it's going to be able to do that stuff scary fast. And it's going to be interfaced with all of the social media, uh, that is out there. And it's going to be able to put your company's presence on social media in an instant.
Loan officers. Now, loan officers are an interesting one because I'm talking about loan officers that are lower level. I'm talking about the pre-screeners before the human who is part of the bank or whatever has to take that risk. I, I'm not sure how many of the really high-up loan officers are going to be replaced because companies are still hesitant to turn over, uh, that kind of control to a machine. But a lot of loan officer jobs are going to be gone because AI is going to thoroughly be able to pre-screen people if they're asking for a loan. And if you pass the test with the AI, then either it's going to be blessed by the, you know, the, the final AI or it's going to be approved by a human. So loan officer is going to be gone.
Another job that's going to be gone is anybody that is dealing with customer feedback and things like that. There are actually entire companies and employee groups that are, they do that. So, you can understand why that one's going to go away.
Number 34, event planners. Now, it used to be, you know, you, you pay pretty good money to a human to find a great location for a wedding or a celebration or a reunion or a birthday party. Uh, pretty much all event planning is going to be AI. The reason for that is cost. The second reason for it is AI is going to be able to customize your event, uh, perfectly for you. Whereas sometimes a human, I don't know if you've ever had an event planner, they like to impose their stuff on you sometimes and they don't always listen. So AI is going to be more in tune with how you are and what you want.
All right. Uh, here's another one that is, to me, it's pretty sad. Realtors, real estate agents. AI is starting to replace a lot of realtors by becoming the initial agent to show a property. And instead of you going to a realtor and having them show you the places that are for sale that you might be interested in, AI is going to compile that list more efficiently and really fine-tune it to what you're looking for. Uh, not all realtors are going to be replaced because there's still a need to go there, go to the home you're buying and be able to tour it and things like that. But I would say a third to a half of all realtors are going to end up losing their jobs or be gone or, or whatever.
Um, another job that's going away is copywriters. You can understand why. Um, that can all be automated by AI. There used to be people just sit around and all they do is file copyrights with the federal government on books, movies, and things like that. AI is going to replace pretty much every copywriter.
Warehouse workers. Now, you're starting to see this a lot. Like in Amazon, they've been putting in more robots and automated conveyors and things like that. And, and it's not just Amazon, it's all over the place. Warehouse workers are going to start being a thing of the past because AI is going to control everything within a warehouse. It's going to control the forklifts, the conveyors, the boxing, everything. Um, there's going to be a point in the future when an entire massive warehouse that ships goods out is going to have one or two people working in it where it used to have thousands. And so that's going to be, um, something that's more of a physical job that's going away.
Now another, um, job that's going away, number 38, is tax preparers. Um, this one you can imagine why it's going away. Now AI is, is going to replace a lot of people in this kind of a field. You know, not only bookkeepers, it's going to start really replacing accountants. Accounting firms are going to not exist anymore because AI is going to be able to take care of accounting much more efficiently, much cheaper. But the tax preparers, you know, such as, uh, H&R Block and, you know, just to name a few, um, they're kind of past their time, especially since TurboTax came out and stuff like that. Well, AI is going to really start taking over, uh, tax preparation. So, some of these companies are really going to have to adjust or they're going to just go out of business. So, anybody's in tax preparation, you better start looking for something else.
All right. Number 39 is billing specialists. Um, anybody who is in a, in a, in a corporation that, um, they're sending out invoices and things like that. Um, those are going to go away because AI can streamline that real easy.
Number 40 is, uh, market research analyst. Um, those are going to be going, you know, for reasons I said earlier.
All right. So, there was the list of 40. And keep in mind that that wasn't all the jobs that are going to be replaced by AI. I didn't mention other ones that are already starting as well, such as, uh, tutors and teachers. The reason teachers are a little more of a holdout is because most of them work for the government. And like I said, the government is not going to change very fast. But some people are finding that AI is able to work with a child sometimes better than a teacher who has a room full of children, like 30 kids to one teacher. Uh, the AI is able to work one-on-one with them. In my personal opinion, that's not ideal, but that's what's happening. And then there's other jobs, uh, many, many other jobs that are starting to be replaced by AI as we speak. And so I know I didn't cover all of them, but this gives you an idea of some, uh, groups of industries that are going to be severely impacted just this year.
Now, when I get into what's going to happen next year and the year after, it becomes more extreme. So, all right, guys. Is I'm going to keep you informed on this stuff. And what I'm trying to do for you is because of my technical background and my other backgrounds, I'm going to be there for you to explain this stuff in layman's terms, in the average common person's language and help you guys get through this. There's going to be a lot of people that are going to be affected by this AI revolution that is happening right now. And it may not be your job, but it might be your wife's job. It might be your son's job. It might be, uh, your neighbor's job. Um, you know, this, this is going to affect if not you, it's going to affect people around you. And so what I'm going to try to do is not just, you know, I'm not trying to scare you, but I'm trying to let you know that this is happening. Some of this stuff does keep me up at night. But I wanted to give you guys some hope in this. And so, my job, I'm going to make this my mission for you. I am going to try my best to help all of the displaced people who will listen. Help them adjust. Help them get other jobs. Help them survive this. And people that are in the wake of this thing that's coming, help you know about it. Help you prepare for it. Help you fortify your position as it takes us all by storm.
So I just want you guys to understand that we are going to have to start making a shift from these sort of menial technical jobs that we've had that AI is going to replace a lot of those and we need to start getting into things that are human type jobs. Now, the most obvious one is service industries. Um, and, and the most commonly used trade is plumbers and electricians and things like that. Um, but I'm not just talking about them. There is a need for humans to be in positions and be ready to be in positions to fill in on as this AI takes over everything. Uh, there will still be a need for humans because humans have really good problem-solving and creativity and, uh, a lot of good hands-on. So, I'm going to be letting you guys know of some ways you can jump in and get ahead of the game on that. And, uh, especially if you got a kid that's going to be graduating, uh, high school and, you know, you, you guys need to know about what's happening here because if you give your kid some good information based on what is happening and what is going to happen, uh, you're going to give them a better chance to survive this. Uh, they can possibly be the few that are still employed and they're still able to take care of their families or whatever. So, um, anyway, that's, that's about it. I know this video is pretty long, but it's very important. I wanted you guys to understand the magnitude of this thing. I'm going to get into some, uh, much shorter videos in the future.
