My name is Nadra Patel. I am working as a director of carrier and mobile services in Zenomanter International. We are a part of Zane Group.
Zen Group is a big telco company in the Middle East and North African region where we operate in eight countries: Jordan, Iraq, Sudan, South Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahin, and Oman.
I work with Zayen Omant International. So we are a wholesale joint venture between Zay Group, Zayen Saudi Arabia, and Omantel.
So what we are doing today as Zen International is a Zane group in the DT space is that we are involved with the Hideera Council. We are managing nodes. Today there is a node which is running on our network, and we are also looking at being involved in the governance meetings and the council meetings and subcommittees.
One major thing that we did last year was when we did a proof of concept for the application of blockchain technology in roaming businesses. This proof of concept was done in collaboration within the ecosystem of in collaboration with Tata DHA and Boston Consultancy Group. The highlight of this PC was that we were nominated and we won the award for the best blockchain innovation services held by the capacity media in the event in the London edition of capacity Europe in October 2024.
Post that, we are now again involved and engaged with Tata and TA to work on a proof of value concept in terms of deploying an end-to-end DT solution for roaming services. We are hopeful that we will be successful in this, and we are looking at most probably redefining and revolutionizing the way the roaming business is being done by 700 plus mobile network operators in terms of the way they manage their roaming services and agreements.
So our involvement, my involvement personally, is that we attend all the meetings that happen online. One of our colleagues is on the legal governance side of the Hedera Council. From my perspective, I am looking more into the business applications where can we look at deploying a blockchain solution in terms of monetizing or creating value for the enterprise customers or for the telos. So our focus is more or less on the business applications, real use cases, and how we can improve the visibility and the monetization of the Hedera console.
In my point of view, I think what separates Hedera from the other DLD or the other blockchain solutions is the first thing: governance. We have seen that a lot of blockchain initiatives are not having a proper governance. Here at Hedera, we have a separate body, a separate council of members from diverse enterprise and diverse backgrounds who meet together and take decisions, which means that the decisions are decentralized. They're not controlled by a single person or single entity, which gives a more transparent and visible feeling when an enterprise customer or when you approach an enterprise customer, they feel that, okay, this is an organization that is taking decisions as a joint committee or as a joint effort.
The other thing that I could think of in terms of differentiating between Hedera and the others is in terms of the performance of the network. A lot of enterprise customers whom we are talking to today, they are looking at solutions that will be able to take care of the load that they have in terms of processing the data. And Hedera, through its algorithms, has the capability where they can process a huge amount of data within seconds.
