Well, to debate all this, the host of System Update, Glenn Grimwald, the former US Deputy National Security Adviser, KT McFarland, the founder and CEO of The Young Turks, Cenk Uygur, and the former US Air Force combat pilot, Brian "Max" Brian Bowdenheimer. Well, welcome to all of you.
[music]
We're talking about civilizational annihilation. That's not my interpretation. That's literally what Trump himself said.
I know I've seen it firsthand. The assets that we will use to get a single American back says a lot about our country. It also delivers a message that when we want to go anywhere in the world, uh, the United States can do it.
You know something? You're all taking the bait. Donald Trump is in the final hours
[music]
of a negotiation that could prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons.
"47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God bless the great people of Iran." So, as you can see right there, he's not saying he's going to have a genocide on the people of Iran. Oh, he didn't think that they were going to close the Strait of Hormuz.
[music]
We all knew they were going to close the Strait of Hormuz. How could you not know that?
I, you, you know, he's angry. He's mad at NATO. He's mad at our so-called allies for not helping. And he's, he's yelling at his phone. You need to take a deep breath and realize you're the commander-in-chief of the military. You're the leader of the mo of the free world, the most, you know,
[music]
powerful men in the free world. There's some, something just shouldn't be said, even if you want to.
You talked about the leadership of Iran. You talked about the the martyr. They want, they want. How do you feel if they, Iran has nuclear weapons?
[music]
You know, there's a cost to doing nothing. So, and, and she says, "Oh my god, can you imagine if the Iranians had nukes? They might want to wipe out our entire civilization." That's what Trump just said.
He's dealing with terrorists. This is a terrorist regime. So, for 10 years, I studied
[music]
the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and back bolts for the US Air Force. And we always knew this is what they were going to throw at the endgame of this war, which
[music]
are terrorist proxy tactics. We're supposed to be the good guys. This kind of language, even if he doesn't follow through on it, is a terrible mark on America and we shouldn't tolerate it.
They've got highly enriched uranium. And we're pretty sure they've got the the the blueprint that's going to pull it all together. So, they're close to a nuclear weapon. If the United States waits until after they have a nuclear weapon, can you imagine the blackmail that Iran would do?
But we didn't want ground troops. None of these choices are good. We shouldn't be in this war in the first place. There's nothing but disastrous choices for us. Deception is a huge part of warfare and that's something that's hard for the civilian population to understand, but at the end of the day, you're dealing with a terrorist
[music]
regime. So, you have to sometimes fight fire with fire. What's up everybody? Welcome back to the channel and welcome back to the Piers Morgan arena of taking hyperbolic, metaphoric statements out of context and then placing them in your own context from your own interpretation and then saying that's what he said.
[music]
Folks, that's what we have going. That is essentially the theme of this video is we're going to take what Donald Trump says out of context, place it in different context, and then pretend that's what he meant. In case you didn't know, folks, we've got Cenk Uygur coming in. Of course, you probably saw that from the intro. We've got a couple of new faces coming in. Max Afterburner, as a matter of fact, who is somebody I've watched in the past. I don't watch regularly, but I've seen a few of his videos. He's, he's a military dude. He, he loves to get into that aspect, the military news and things of that nature. He also streams games and these other things. But then, you know, the ever-classic Robert O'Neal, the guy that killed Bin Laden, as a matter of fact, coming in. So, that's a classic guy right there. I respect his opinions. And Cenk's losing his voice in this video. So, he's not yelling and screaming at anybody. So, he's kind of cool, calm, and collected in this one. He, he still has his same ideas, but he, he's still kind of off his rocker a little bit. He's just not gnashing his teeth at everything that comes along. So, this video is going to be great. It's going to be awesome. You guys are going to enjoy that. So, smash that like button for me. Subscribe if you're new around here. Share this video anywhere and everywhere you can. Click that join button. Sign up and become a member. That is the best way to help this channel expand and grow if you guys are interested in doing that. But if you are also interested in staying informed and staying up to date with what's going on, stuff you're not going to hear about in the mainstream, check out my news videos. We always go over news that is just not being talked about, but that is important to know what's going on to staying informed. I always cover obscure news, if you will. I should have changed the name of this channel to obscure news, but I didn't. So, it is what it is, folks. So, you guys check that out. We read the news, figure out what's going on, and then we just analyze everything from there. So, do all that for me. And without any further ado, folks, here is the debate.
If you don't take that extremely seriously and literally, then you're acting with unbelievable recklessness. And this is not the first statement that Trump has made that has suggested this. He was talking to reporters over the weekend and essentially saying that there'd be nothing off the table in terms of what he would do to Iran, what he would destroy. We're talking about civilizational annihilation. That's not my interpretation. That's literally what Trump himself said. And even if it turns out that doesn't happen, he finds a way to get out of it this time. And he, he postpones the deadline again. The fact that we have an American president in the middle of a war threatening to annihilate permanently a thousand-year-old civilization over a country that did not attack the United States, has never attacked the American homeland, has not tried, is one of the most disturbing and morally reprehensible things I've ever heard an American president say. And the last point I'll just make is that, you know, we're so inured as Americans and even in in Great Britain and and parts of Europe to war. We fight wars so often, so frequently. It's just kind of like a natural state of affairs that, oh, which country are we going to go to war with? There's a reason we say war is a last resort. It's not like a cliché. It's supposed to be the highest human moral mandate. And it's because things like this can spiral out of control very quickly in ways that people didn't predict and and didn't plan. It does things to human beings, war does, that make them act in all sorts of extraordinarily destructive ways. And we are at a moment of grave danger simply by the fact that Trump issued this threat, let alone whether he follows through.
Yeah, I, I meant to, I'm sorry. Rob O'Neal has also joined us. Former US Navy SEAL. Of course, he killed Osama bin Laden. Uh, for some reason, your name didn't appear earlier, Rob, but probably because he, we elevated you to a VIP level of panel member, uh, given your service to your country. So, my apologies. Um, let me go to you, Rob, because you, both you and Ryan, obviously have served in combat. Uh, in fact, only last night I was watching a, a riveting Netflix documentary about the raid to kill Osama bin Laden. And of course, you were the, the, the man who finally pulled the trigger that killed him. So, you are the best person imaginable to ask about several things that have happened in the last few days. Let's start with a big positive, which was the incredible rescue mission to get this, uh, this, uh, colonel who had obviously crash-landed and then there was a hunt to get him. Um, when the more detail I read about this, Rob, the more incredible it becomes. What did you make of this operation?
Yeah, this was, um, a rescue of a down aviator and or air crew like we've never seen before. Just the amount of assets that we had. What was unique about this, though, is we're able to see exactly where they are pretty much all the time. There's other air assets, other intelligence assets in the air watching. When they're hit and they eject, obviously it must have been at high altitude. I don't know the exact details of the elevation, but they separated by a couple miles and, um, at that point, everything stops and we need to find them. So, just they ended up going in with the Tier 1 unit with SEAL Team 6 and they flew in some C-130s with a lot of people. The gorilla package is what it is. And that, I mean, they can do pretty much stuff. They're at a forward operating base that they made there on an airfield. There's other stuff they could be doing there too because it was a few days on the ground. I'm not sure what it was, but I know with that many people, that many assets, you know, they're in there. The, the, the pilot did a great job with the encryption and the survival radio that he did have because it's sending encryption stuff. I don't want to get too much into it. He evaded a lot of counter-intelligence with the three-letter agents. He's in there and then the pilot gets into a spot not moving when when people are in a lot, a major stress like that, distressed as well. They, uh, they have a tendency to run away from things. It's best to find high ground and let the good guys come to you, which he did. Good on him because he's hurt, he's wounded, he's bleeding, making it to the high ground and then not falling for any of the tricks. Hats off to everybody. So much going on, a lot more than the time we have today. But for the men and women involved with all this, bringing, seeing what we'll, you know, I've seen it firsthand, the assets that we will use to get a single American back says a lot about our country. It also delivers a message that when we want to go anywhere in the world, uh, the United States can do it.
Yeah. I mean, look, I, I thought that was an astonishing rescue mission. I read the full New York Times account of it and honestly, it was breathtaking. And I give great credit to Donald Trump for sending in literally the whole kitchen sink to rescue this guy and they got him out with no loss of life on the American side. Incredible. But it begs the question, Rob, and I'd be very interested what you feel about this. Trump could have taken a victory lap over that and everyone would have applauded. You know, Trump could take a victory lap over Artemis and everyone can applaud this astounding achievement, watch we're watching of human beings going further than they've ever gone before, uh, in space. These are two great American achievements in the last few days. But what most of the world is talking about are two posts on social media by Donald Trump. You know, one in which he says, "Open the [ __ ] strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in hell." Just watch. Praise be to Allah. And the other one, "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want it to happen, but it probably will." And you know, I've known Donald Trump 20 years. He's always shot from, uh, his mouth. He's always shot from the hip. He says, you know, he's, he's a, he's a trash-talking New York real estate guy. Okay. But now he's the leader of the free world. He's the president of the United States. He's the commander-in-chief of the American military. Would you have felt comfortable if you were still serving with the commander-in-chief posting like, like that?
I, I have to be honest, Piers, I went to Truth Social to see if they were actually posted. I, I didn't, I didn't think it was presidential and I know that it's, it's very difficult to be around President Trump and tell him something you disagree with. You know, I know the man. I've had dinner at the White House with him, but someone should step up to something like this. The optics are very important, and you really can't say you're going to wipe out an entire civilization. It's [clears throat] I mean, it's, you're already teetering on what rules the Geneva Convention has and you start talking about if you're, if you're hitting a vital infrastructure for civilian survival, that's against the Geneva Convention, you can't do it. Now, if it's dual purpose, which a lot of these people do, um, you know, that's, that's for a lot of the higher-ups to decide. But I don't think it's proper to get on social media and say you're going to wipe out an entire civilization like that. It's just, it's one of, look, I, you, you know, he's angry. He's mad at NATO. He's mad at our so-called allies for not helping. And he's, he's yelling at his phone. You need to take a deep breath and realize you're the commander-in-chief of the military. You're the leader in the mo of the free world, the most, you know, powerful man in the free world. There's some, something just shouldn't be said, even if you want to. For me, it's one of those things and, and trust me, as someone on social media who, you know, the next day wakes up and says, "Maybe I shouldn't have said that." There is a time to type something up or even handwrite a letter, put in a drawer, and forget about it. If it doesn't bother you in 24 hours, it shouldn't be put out to the world. I, I just, I think as the top boss in the military, inappropriate.
Yeah, I completely agree. Okay, folks. So, I, I will address Donald Trump's statements on the next segment. I, I just want to address something that I found to be kind of a double standard right here. You know, with Donald Trump is getting absolutely obliterated over his statements talking about he's going to blow up their power plants. And he even just mentioned it. Rob O'Neal, me mentioned that, you know, the Geneva Convention basically restricts armies from destroying vital infrastructure to the survival of human beings in an area, like the civilian population, essentially going in and destroying the power plants. Oh, we can't do that. But yet, nobody bats a freaking eyelid when Iran cuts off the Strait of Hormuz. Isn't oil a vital infrastructure necessary to some people's survival? Right? A lot of people rely on oil, right? Because refrigeration, uh, there's all kind of things that derive from oil. If they're going to cut that off, that is a vital infrastructure. It's the same thing. They just violated the Geneva Convention by shutting down the Strait of Hormuz. Absolutely, folks. But nobody ever thinks about those things. They just look at Donald Trump and say, "Oh, he's a scumbag." I understand. Look, we're supposed to be the morally superior civilization, if you will, right? But speaking of civilization, go look up the definition of civilization. By the way, I would suggest everybody do that. It's, it's not just simply saying that you're going to wipe out a bunch of people. But anyway, like I said, I'm going to address that a little bit later. I wanted to address this point because I fail, I feel like it's a double standard here because, uh, you, we can survive without electricity. Correct? Absolutely. But some people can't. That's the problem here. And it's the same thing with oil. Some people can't survive without the prochemicals and everything derived thereof. Medicines. There's all kind of things that derive from petrochemicals that people rely on on a daily basis. So, I, I don't know. I just find it brazen that these people would, you know, lash out at Donald Trump over this. And anyway, like, let, let's not delineate here between statements on social media and actions done in the real world. Like, seriously, I understand that's been a major problem with a lot of people from Donald Trump that he says things on social media, but once again, the double standard here because Iran has been saying a lot of things on social media that, uh, yeah, they're way off from reality. Way off from reality. Like they've said, "Oh, we're closing the Strait of Hormuz when it was wide open before." "Oh, the United States violated the terms of the ceasefire." Now, honestly, look, I know I'm mentioning this kind of late, but this was done before the ceasefire was put into place. This was actually, this was recorded before or basically right after those statements, I think Monday before the ceasefire went into place. So, it was still up in the air if Donald Trump was going to do this. But you know, these people, it, it, it just fascinates me how the double standard here. Like, if we're going to treat Iran as a regular power in the, in the world, right, as a regular actor and and admonish Donald Trump for a thing and not admonish Iran for doing something probably a little bit worse in my opinion, what, what are we doing here? I mean, does everybody, I, I think everybody understands that Iran is a rogue nation. So, we can't just allow them to get away with that. How about let's take what they do and what they say and put that into a box as well. If we're going to do that with Trump, we need to do that with Iran. Another tick in the box is to the reason that Iran doesn't need to exist as they do now. That civilization does need to be wiped out, folks. And what do we say when civilizations of the past have been wiped out? Like I said before, folks, the Roman Empire was wiped out, but the people survived. Once again, Donald Trump is not saying that he's going to take out all the Iranians because if you go and, well, like I said, we'll get to that, folks. So, before we go to that, they play a clip of Tucker Carlson. I want to address that right quick before.
Well, let's go back to the panel. Before we, we go to the panel members who haven't spoken yet, I want to play this clip from Tucker Carlson, which has gone viral today. "Who do you think you are? You're tweeting out the F-word on Easter morning. No, this is a mockery not just of Islam. It's a mockery of Christianity. To send out a tweet with the F-word on Easter morning promising the murder of civilians and then saying, 'Praise be to Allah,' without explaining any of it, you are mocking me and every other Christian because we're Christians. We can't support that. That is evil. That is an intentional desecration of beauty and truth, which is the definition of evil."
Okay, folks. So, when did Tucker Carlson become a religious moral authority in this world? Like, I, look, I'm sorry, Donald Trump is not a religious moral authority. He is just a man, right? And as far as I'm concerned, he's not a hardcore Christian. He may claim to be Christian, but he's just like toe in the water Christian, if, if you ask me. If you really ask me, I don't think he's a Christian at all. He likes to to claim that, but hey, it is what it is. I don't know if he's been baptized. I don't know if he's been saved. So, I'm going to go ahead and think that he's not a Christian, as a matter of fact. So, I'm not going to hold anything of that over him at all. But folks, look, I am sorry. I am not going to bend my will to your moral authority, Tucker Carlson. I'm sorry that that he crossed the line right there with me, folks. Islam, you don't respect other religions that are false. I'm sorry. Other religions that are satanic in nature, folks. Like, I've looked into all this. Islam is not a religion. It is a cult. And I am not going to give any sort of moral authority, any sort of respect to a religion that disrespects Christianity. I'm sorry. They do that on a consistent basis. They go out and kill Christians for goodness sakes. And all Donald Trump is doing is mocking just a little bit. You don't think they deserve, they deserve to be mocked? Tucker Carlson, who made you the moral authority on Christianity and how Christians should think? I mean, he claims to be Christian, but is that so? Did God say that not to mock other religions? No. As a matter of fact, God said, "You do not put any other idols before me." Huh, [clears throat] that's interesting. Now, you ask the Islamists, they'll claim Allah and God are the same person, but they're not because Islam puts Muhammad before God in a lot of respects. That's a false idol right there, if you ask me. Now, that just, it really ticked me off and I just wanted to get that off my chest that Tucker Carlson is not a, a, a religious authority. Not in the least at this point, folks. Let's keep going.
Feel about this? I mean, as an American, do you feel comfortable about the president of the United States posting this kind of rhetoric?
You know something? You're all taking the bait. Donald Trump is in the final hours of a negotiation that could prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons. Iran having nuclear weapons would be like Adolf Hitler having nuclear weapons in World War II. You bet he's, he's tough. You bet he's not playing by the Marquess of Queensberry rules. He is in a middle of a negotiation and he is threatening, he's threatening the IRGC. He's threatening the Iranian regime or what's left of it with, "You come to me, you make a deal with me, and here's the deal: no nuclear weapons."
But he's not, though, is he? He's not. He's threatening the entire Iranian population. That is what he meant by "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again." He's not just threatening the regime or the [clears throat] IRGC. He is being very specific that this will involve the removal of the entire civilization in Iran. That is genocide. That is a war crime.
You know, I guess I would think that what President Trump is doing now, don't always believe what he says because he says
When he's threatening genocide.
I think he's threatening genocide. I think he's threatening to remove the Iranian regime. He doesn't say that.
Well, I think that that's what he's talking about. He's removing the Iranian. Why doesn't he say that? If you look at, if you look at the press conference that he gave yesterday, what did he say? "We are now negotiating with new Iranians. We are now negotiating with a new..."
Who he's now threatening to kill along with every other Iranian tonight at 1:00 in the morning, English time, 8:00 Eastern time. I mean, he couldn't be less ambiguous if he tried. It couldn't be more crystal clear. I understand you don't like the words, but let me just ask you in 24 hours.
How could anybody like the words? I mean, all due respect, Katie McFarland, explain to me who would like these words and why you would like them. Do you like them?
Yeah, of course I don't like them. But the point is not whether I like them or not. It's whether the Iranian regime believes them. Do they believe it's a legitimate, incredible?
No, they don't. They've already come out and said they're not there. They, they're now stopping all negotiation with the Americans over these posts. They want nothing to do with them. They're not negotiating. And in fact, they're coming out now saying, "We're more than happy to give our lives for our country and our cause," which of course many people understand that is what the Iranian regime ideology is all about. Right? So, why would this kind of threat ever work? And also, what happens if we get to 8:00 p.m. tonight, Eastern, and Trump doesn't follow through with his threat? Then he's the boy, then he's the boy that cried wolf, then he's the emperor with no clothes. So, I don't see how this works on any level. Either he commits a genocide and will be damned for eternity and probably start World War II, or he doesn't do it. The Iranians ignore his threats and Trump is made to look impotent as a leader. How does this work as a victory for him? I don't, I don't get it.
I think you've just made your point that Iran, you've talked about the leadership of Iran. You talked about the the martyr. They want, they want. How do you feel if they, Iran has nuclear weapons? You know, there's a cost to doing nothing. There's a cost to.
I don't want them to have it. But my understanding of the of that issue is that we were told last summer in after the 12-day war that all threat of a nuclear weapon being developed by Iran had been taken out. Now, within 10 months, we're told this, we now have to have threatened World War II to stop them getting a nuclear weapon that we were told only 10 months ago, we have stopped them getting. All the enriched uranium is buried deep below the ground. Most military experts I've heard talk about this say there's no way to get it without committing ground troops, which could lead to catastrophic losses on the American side. So again, I ask, how does any of this stop Iran anyway from developing nuclear weapons if we're not going to get the enriched uranium without blowing up the entire population? Explain to me how we stop them developing a nuke.
Well, what, what you've just said is that you're, you're willing to live with a nuclear Iran. I am not willing to live with a nuclear Iran. The very reason that you've just said, well, you said we can't, we can't find the enriched uranium. How do you know you can't find the enriched uranium? You know, one of the problems that President Trump saw is that when we thought we'd obliterated everything, and what did the Iranians do the very next day? They started rebuilding. I taught nuclear weapons at MIT in the 1980s. What do you need for a nuclear weapon? You need three things. You need highly enriched uranium, which we know they've got. We're not sure where it all is. We don't know if they've already destroyed it all. You need a plan to take that highly enriched uranium and turn into a bomb. And then you need a missile to deliver that nuclear weapon. What was Iran? So they've got the missiles. We've just seen that they've demonstrated they have the reach to reach Europe from Iran. We know they've got highly enriched uranium. And we're pretty sure they've got the the the blueprint that's going to pull it all together. So they're close to a nuclear weapon. If the United States waits until after they have a nuclear weapon, can you imagine the blackmail that Iran would do, not just to the region, but to the world?
Okay, let me bring in, uh, Cenk Uygur. Uh, I mean, Cenk, I, I was pretty horrified when I saw the post today. I was pretty horrified when I saw the post on Easter Sunday, to be honest with you. I just thought it was so inappropriate. Um, and, you know, I, I always have an allowance for Trump to do a bit of trash-talking. I don't like it when he trash-talks about people who've just died. I think that's inappropriate and wrong. I wish he wouldn't do it. This is a whole different level of trash-talking. This is basically threatening public, brazen genocide. That's what he's doing. There is no defense for this, but it, it's, I just find it astonishing that there are any people prepared to defend it.
Yeah. So, I, I think what Katie McFarland was just saying is absurd. Uh, and listen to what she said. She said, "What if the Iranians get a nuke?" First of all, preposterous. Uh, they don't have any ability to deliver that enriched uranium. She knows it. Uh, this is all about regime change. It's for Israel. We all know that. Uh, in fact, Israel has nukes and they're a super dangerous country. Ben Gvir on TV just yesterday was joking around about nuking Iran and how he would like to do that. So, and, and she says, "Oh my god, can you imagine if Iranians had nukes, they might want to wipe out our entire civilization." That's what Trump just said. Trump is, like you said earlier, Piers, he's talking like a terrorist. So, this is the Israelification of our policy. They're pro-genocide. We're not pro-genocide. We're the good guys. And so this is unbearable. This is, look, uh, [clears throat] I reach out, uh, to all voters, including Trump voters, all the time. I'm the last person to rub it in and go, "Haha, you made a mistake." I love it when people come to the right side. I'm the guy who said Marjorie Taylor Greene, Massie, and Tucker Carlson would do the right thing on war, uh, and, and Iran, and, and I'm relieved to see that they did, and I really appreciate it. But guys, this is why I was forced to vote for three corporate Democrats. I can't stand because the alternative was this madman, Donald Trump. He's always been a madman. He's always been a spoiled child. His father gave him $400 million and he blew it. And then his second daddy, Jeff Zucker, gave him $400 million through The Apprentice and he blew that. So when he gets into this quagmire, he just said yesterday, "Oh, he didn't think that they were going to close the Strait of Hormuz." We all knew they were going to close the Strait of Hormuz. How could you not know that? So he gets frustrated. He got talked into it by Israel. So now he can't get find a way out. And so he starts screaming into the abyss like a spoiled child. "Give me what I want or I'll destroy you and I'll take my ball and go home, except I'll nuke you first." This is disgusting talk. And look, I think there is a third alternative to what you just said. There's a possibility, Piers, that he's threatening to blow up the power plants and the bridges and to nuke them or do whatever he's, uh, madman talk that he's doing, and then he's instead going to put in ground troops and go, "Haha, I'm so clever. You were expecting the bombing, but I put in ground troops instead." But we didn't want ground troops. None of these choices are good. We shouldn't be in this war in the first place. There's nothing but disastrous choices for us. And of course, meanwhile, Israel is laughing and laughing because number one, they want a mess and chaos in Iran so that it debilitates them and they can't fund Hamas and Hezbollah. And number two, they have the Leviathan pipeline. Now, it is a giant gas field. So, if we bomb, uh, Iran's gas fields and they bomb the Gulf gas fields, the number one winner economically is Israel. So, they can't wait for this kind of death and destruction. He should have, I mean, he fired Christy Gnome and and Pam Bondi. He should have fired all the Israel-first advisors that are surrounding him, which is literally everyone at the White House. Okay. Clean house. Get Americans in there, not people serving a different country and especially a genocidal country like Israel. That's why you get the kind of talk that you're seeing today.
Okay. I mean, the only, the only big, uh.
And by the way, one more thing.
Yeah.
Yeah. Just it's whether he does it or not. The mere fact of saying that America would destroy an entire civilization and commit genocide or a holocaust like this puts a moral stain on us. We cannot bear that moral stain. We're supposed to be the good guys. This kind of language, even if he doesn't follow through on it, is a terrible mark on America and we shouldn't tolerate it.
Okay, so kind of disregarding what Cenk Uygur was saying because we don't really have to take much of that seriously. Let's go back to the beginning of that clip with the little exchange between, uh, Miss Katie McFarland right there and Piers Morgan where she was giving the case for as to what she thinks that Truth Social post meant. And, you know, Piers Morgan says, "Well, that's not what he said. He said genocide." He never said genocide in that post, did he? No. He said he's going to wipe out a civilization. You go look up the definition of civilization. As a matter of fact, I'll read it out for you guys. Civilization is a complex, highly developed human society characterized by urban living, social stratification, specialized labor, organized government, and cultural advancements like writing and monumental architecture. It represents a sophisticated state of social, cultural, and technological development, often distinguishing a refined society from earlier, simpler, or chaotic social structures. So what does that mean, folks? Does that mean genocide? No, it doesn't. As a matter of fact, that means their way of life. That means that whole theocratic dictatorship is going to be gone. Donald Trump never said anything about genocide. Plus, you got to look at it like this. Ryan, uh, Max Afterburner, I forget what his last name is right off the top of my head. Anyway, he, he kind of expounds upon this quite well, and I'll let him do that, but basically, Donald Trump says things. This is also, you know, Donald Trump is always in the state of the art of the deal, right? He's always coming in really high and negotiating down from there. And people have come up with this term because they are divorced from reality or they want to garner clicks or or anything else by freaking out and enraging the people, the viewers watching the video or whatever by just saying, "Oh, Trump chickens out." Like we've seen this whole thing play out in real time and it's all astroturfed, folks. You know, people were absolutely just destroying Donald Trump for those statements, for that social media post, saying, "How dare you threaten genocide on an entire civilization?" Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then when Donald Trump comes out and says, "We've, we've, uh, agreed to a ceasefire deal." What did everybody in concert do? "Oh, Donald Trump's a chicken. Taco Tuesday, folks. Donald Trump always chickens out." It's like, are you serious? It's so, it doesn't matter what Donald Trump does, it's always going to be bad. They were just admonishing him for threatening to do a thing. And then when he doesn't do a thing, they call him a coward for not doing the thing that he was threatening to do. You see where this is going? There is no way out for Donald Trump in that situation at all. And it's totally disingenuous. Every single bit of it, folks. Every single bit of it's disingenuous. And once again, you know, for somebody that tries to cut through all the BS, all right, and try to get to the truth of actually what's going on, it's hard to read Donald Trump. I'm not going to lie about that. It's hard to get a good reading on what he's saying. But if you read that social media post once again, you look down at the bottom, he even says, "God bless the people of Iran. We're going to destroy that regime." He says it in the post. See, this is what I was talking about at the intro, folks. They will, what these people will do, and you got to pay attention to this because a lot of times it'll just pass you right up and you might not even notice, but they'll take something somebody says, remove it from the context by which it was written and place it in their own context, and then pretend that was what he meant to say. That's exactly what he meant to say. And it's, it's not, folks. They do this all the time with Donald Trump. This once again, it's, it's the strategy of "good people on the good people on both sides" hoax where they took what Donald Trump says and then placed it with their own context by saying Donald Trump called neo-Nazis and white supremacists very fine people. And there's people till this day that still believe that because the hoax is always much more popular than the debunk of the hoax. That's a major component to the problems of modern society. It's a major component to the problems of the internet, folks. Because the things that go viral, many, many more eyes see than the things that debunk that virality, if you will. Folks, it, it's completely absurd in its entirety. People just don't get the truth as much as they get the viral moments that don't necessarily need to be true and they buy into that and people run with that. It's absurd, folks. So, it's all astroturfed. It's all made up because anybody with just a tiny glimmer of discernable discernment can look at that post, right? It's, it's almost as if these people read, you know, "I'm going to wipe out a civilization" and that's it. They quit reading. Yeah, if that's all you read, then yeah, you might believe what you said. But folks, most people don't just quit reading right there. They're going to read the whole post. And I would beg and plead with people, please don't just read the headline, keep going. Because people will use extreme examples to make a point. They do it all the time. It's, it's insane if you ask me. But here comes, uh, Max Afterburner. He's going to clear this up quite well if you ask me and make a few good points. Check this out.
What do you, what do you feel about this? So, you've served in combat. You're a US Air Force combat pilot. I presume you would, you would, uh, share Rob's view and my view that the rescue mission was unbelievable and incredible heroism both by the pilot and by the teams that went to get him. It was, it was remarkable. But rather than talking about that, we're all talking about this threat from Donald Trump. What do you feel about that?
Yeah, good to see you, Piers. Good to see everybody else as well. Uh, so I think Rob would agree with this. There's never a good time in the middle of the night to come face to face with a Navy SEAL unless you're the weapon systems officer getting rescued. So, uh, overall, just a great operation. I'm so proud of all the rescue forces and the WIZO himself. Uh, and again, what a great day for America getting that aviator back safe. But the thing I want to talk about that I want to highlight and add some context to everybody talking about "a whole civilization will die tonight." If we just go to the bottom of that Truth post, it says, "47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God bless the great people of Iran." So, as you can see right there, he's not saying he's going to have a genocide on the people of Iran. What he's saying is the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that took over 47 years ago is who he's focused on eradicating. And remember, he's dealing with terrorists. This is a terrorist regime. So, for 10 years, I studied the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and back vaults for the US Air Force. And we always knew this is what they were going to throw at the endgame of this war, which are terrorist proxy tactics. So that's going to be the first brief that President Trump got from General Raisen Kaine is, "Hey, look, at the end of this, when their military is decimated, their navies decimated, they're going to rely on proxy tactics to cause pain on the global economy in the streets of Hormuz." And so we're seeing that play out. Now, could the president have used some different choice words instead of "a whole civilization"? Maybe that can be taken out of context. So, yeah, he could have changed that.
I mean, seriously, Max, I appreciate you translating the president's words into a far, into a far more benign, benign wording, but the reality is, had he started by saying, "I want to get rid of this IRGC, uh, regime." Okay, that's one thing, right? But he didn't. He, he used the words, "A whole civilization will die tonight." You might want, you might have wanted him to say what you've just articulated, and if he'd said that, there wouldn't be the outrage there is. But he didn't say that.
Well, he did at the end. He brings it home.
No, he says at the end something that is completely contradictory to what he said at the start, which is classic Trump in this war. You know, one, one of you. Sure. I would say Max, I would say to you, but you should, I call you Max or Ryan, by the way?
Uh, Ryan's fine.
Ryan, you know, when you were serving, right, to have a commander-in-chief sending such mixed messages all the time in real time publicly, right? I, I mean, this is not good for anyone serving in the United States.
And I can understand why it's confusing, but the art of war. So that's one of the tactics that has been used in military operations for thousands of years. The art of war is you keep them guessing. You don't want to tell the Iranian regime when this war is going to end. You don't want to tell them what's coming next. You don't want to tell them what you will or won't strike. So deception is a huge part of warfare and that's something that's hard for the civilian population to understand. But at the end of the day, you're dealing with a terrorist regime. So you have to sometimes fight fire with fire.
Okay.
See, I, I just love how Piers just completely ignores a rational explanation that can assuage his fears of genocide. You misunderstand, my dude. You completely misunderstand. As a matter of fact, let's go ahead and read that whole thing out just for clarity purposes, right? Let's read that thing out right quick. "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen." They just completely ignore that. "I don't want it to happen." So basically, he doesn't want to have to do this. He wants an off-ramp. That's what he's telegraphing to everybody. But it probably will. However, now that we have complete and total regime change where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen. Who knows? We will find out tonight. One of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God bless the great people of Iran." And we know who he's talking about there. He's talking about the captive civilian population that is not allowed to be free, if you will. They are under the boot, under the neck of an extremist Islam, Islamist government and have been for 47 years. Revolution happened and they took over the government and then imposed Sharia law on everybody. It's insane. This is a terrorist organization. This is the root. If it were not for Iran, Hezbollah would not exist nearly to the extent that they do these days. Hamas would not be, would not exist to the extent they do. Houthi rebels, all those terror groups out there would not exist in the in the manner in which they do today if it were not for Iran. All right. The Straits of Hormuz, they don't have like Iran. Think about it like this. Iran does not have complete control or they should not, they should not be allowed to threaten the Strait of Hormuz. The simple fact that they do [snorts] states right there that that is too grave of a threat to allow to exist. They are pretending that Iran is the only country that surrounds the Strait of Hormuz. They are not, folks. They are absolutely not. Oman is directly on the other side of that. Once again, Oman has the same rights to that territory as Iran does. So does the UAE and Saudi Arabia and all those other Gulf countries right there. They all have to be allowed to operate that waterway. You cannot have a single extremist regime control that. I'm sorry. That's not how the world works. I've said it repeatedly over and over and over and over and over again. If you have, uh, a rogue regime like this that is threatening normal trade on a consistent basis like they do, that can't be allowed to exist. That must be taken out. And these people are trying to pretend that Donald Trump is the bad guy here for taking them out. Like, are you kidding me with this? Donald Trump has never said genocide. Kill the Iranian people. He's never said that. But they are pretending once again and it's all fake. But the problem is, sure, say what you want, whatever. The problem is is that people are believing. People are buying into what you're saying and they are paring those same talking points and I think that's nonsense. And you, you try to come to these people with some rationality, a little bit of discernment, and they look at you like you're the evil person. Like, are you kidding me here? You're siding with Trump. You're an evil.
As a matter of fact, I'll read it out for you guys. person. You call yourself a Christian? Yes. Doesn't matter what I call myself, by the way. All that matters is my relationship with Jesus Christ. That is none of your concern, by the way. None of your concern.
I just love it, though. These these people are just insane. And it's all for the sake of more social media attention. It's fascinating, folks. Fascinating to watch that people will just drop their principles or stand on their principles fakeely, if you will, and pretend that he means to do something that he never said he was going to do. Love it. Let's keep going.
>> Publicly urged United States military and Pentagon officials to actively defy Trump and refuse orders if he attempts to launch nuclear weapons against Iran. >> If you work in the White House or in the US military, now is time to say no. Absolutely not. and say it directly to the president. No. In case you're thinking about using some weapon of mass destruction against the population of Iran, in whose name we liberated Iran, we killed their religious leader for their benefit. Do you remember that? This was last month. Those people who are in direct contact with the president need to say no.
What do you feel about that, Rob? I mean, the idea that people serving at high level in the military or the Pentagon would defy an instruction from the commander-in-chief to launch a nuclear weapon.
>> Well, I mean, that's not going to happen. Those [clears throat] are uh they're going to have to be there'll need to be lawful orders. And the whole thing with uh deciding what order is lawful is completely against a uniform code of military justice. Never happened. Plus, if you notice, he didn't say nuclear weapons. We do have weapons more powerful than nuclear weapons. people are going to get wrapped up in that 80s style of uh Russia versus United States, but we have stuff there and and um just other things you got to consider. Yes, the true social is social media and is using it sort of as a bargaining chip. You got to figure look at the amount of time we had tier one operators on the ground. Who's to say we didn't get the uranium already? I mean that there's a lot of stuff that we do. It's not just shoot from the hip. We have very talented people doing a lot of talented stuff. Yes, he's doing stuff with the negotiations. I I I mean I don't think when you're you're banking on the entire population to rise up to get rid of the Islamist is is the way to say you're going to wipe out an entire uh civilization. But um um yeah, you know, different words. Yes, he he's he always goes a little bit further saying, "Okay, we're going to take Green, then we're going to take green, then it's okay, maybe we'll have a few bases in Greenland, then he's going to take the long shot, but then back off." I just saying you're going to wipe out a civilization. Bad choice of words, I think.
In uh >> But I was really struck. I was really struck. example, you know, the the the biggest mission in modern American history postc World War is the mission that you were on to kill Osama bin Laden in terms of the importance I think to Americans and to the country and to the people uh to finally see him get justice for what he did on 911. Um you know it was an incredible mission but what was the theme of that mission? Utter secrecy. Absolutely everybody involved. Tiny number of people at the White House knew about it. Very small number of people in the military knew about it. Even though all you top level guys were all being brought together. Highly unusual for that to happen. But there was a wall of secrecy because people understood that careless words cost lives. The famous World War II thing. Here with Trump, we have the complete opposite. He just spews out all this stuff like a machine gun, a verbal machine gun all day long. And I don't understand how any of that helps. I don't think it's duping the enemy. I don't think the Iranians take any of it that seriously. Uh I just don't understand why he feels the need to do this.
>> Well, I mean, I don't think he's giving away any secrets. Everything is extremely close-held. It's it's hard for me to find out any any information about who's involved in anything. And that's talking with sources in Washington DC, in Congress. Uh a lot of they're they're keeping it very compartmentalized. And the bin Laden raid is one thing we can't tell anybody because if we even tell the host nation because Pakistan was involved with that they're going to run him to safety. Stuff like this we knew they were shot down. Now we didn't know there were two pilots there until someone someone in the Pentagon leaked it. Someone close by. So they're not they're not giving away stuff they're doing right now. I mean even even with Car Island, who's to say if we're going to take it completely, which which I mean, who knows now? We we could the United States could we could take all the oil and keep it. So we I I don't think he's giving away secrets. I he I mean appropriately having fun with it. inappropriately having fun with it, I guess, is what I'd say.
>> Glenn Greenwald, I mean, it seems to me that the if you look at what Putin has done in Ukraine, if you look at what China is believed to want to do in Taiwan, for example, the moral authority that Centuga talked about is incredibly important here. If America sees any moral high ground whatsoever by openly threatening genocide as Trump has done today, whether he meant it or not, the fact he's gone on record as saying it, how can America when another nation commits an act which which they view as morally reprehensible? Well, we can and it wasn't just before just today. It was long before this. Um there have been American hawks who have gone to Europe and warned people in Europe that the reason China is rising so greatly and in in displacing Americans in all the regions where we used to be dominant like like Africa and Latin America is because the world perceives that the Americans and the United States government is a bully and just uses military force and war and weapons anytime it feels like. Whereas China was able to rise to a world power even though they haven't fought a war in 48 years. The last war they fought was 1979. That was a one-mon border dispute with Vietnam. And yet we're fighting wars constantly. And now with the American president threatening civilizational annihilation. And I don't think we need to sit here and like dissect the true social post as though it's like some hieroglyphic from ancient civilization and we have to decipher what it really means. Trump has repeatedly made statements like this. As you said on Easter, he vowed to destroy every power plant in Iran and every bridge in Iran. That wouldn't just affect the regime. that would destroy the lives of millions of people who are in Iran, people that were supposedly there to represent. And I just want to add one last point, which is it's so bizarre to have to sit here and listen to people like Katie McFarland say, "Oh, we have to go to war to stop them from getting a nuclear weapon when these were the same exact people who said the same exact thing about Sodom Hussein that we had to go to war because Sodom Hussein was going to get a nuclear weapon and pass it to al-Qaeda. They were going to detonate it." All of which turned out to be lies. and they just come back like none of it ever happened. And even this rescue mission, like I I'm glad the pilot was was rescued. But I do think we have to be a little bit aware as well that there's a lot of propaganda disseminated in war. We were told at the very start of the war, you may remember this, that there was this soldier named Jessica Lynch who heroically fought off Iraqi fighters and gunned a bunch of them down and was finally taken and tortured in the hospital and US forces rescued her in a daring raid. None of which turned out to be true. The media told this story over and over. So, a lot of this is propaganda. A lot of this are things that we've seen before. And we do have a major problem. Even before Trump started with these insane threats, not just in this true social post. And we didn't just threaten it. We have blown up their bridges, which obviously affects the population. We blown up their refineries that poisons their air and water. These are things we're actually doing. And the US was already in a hole morally and geostrategically, which is why China is rising because countries would rather deal with them. And this makes it infinitely worse even if Trump doesn't follow through on these monstrous threats.
>> Yeah. I mean, >> does anybody take Glenn Greenwald seriously at this point, folks? Like, what was that? What was he even trying to say there? So, let's go back to the beginning of that where, you know, once again, Piers Morgan is like, well, he's telegraphing state secrets to the whole world like, and Rob has to come in. No, that's not what he's doing at all. Like once again, talking about an action after the fact, how is that giving away any secrets at all? Like seriously, these people are just so deranged. They just want to put out this narrative and pretend that that's reality. And let's just ignore nuance completely. I mean, nuance is a word for a reason. And these people just Let's just brush that off. I I'm still like flabbergasted at some of the people that have just fallen victim to the anti-nuance narrative nonsense. Well, yeah, let's go with that anti-nuance narrative nonsense because that's all they've been doing, folks. Tucker Carlson has fell into that. Candace Owens has lost her freaking mind at this point, folks. like Dave Dave Smith is actually one of the few people that has actually gone over kind of to that side, but he at least he's still rational with a lot of his opinions. He just has some bad opinions, if you will, right? But there's been a lot of people out there, folks, like they go down the Israel derangement rabbit hole, if you will, talking about, oh, Israel's running the running the the country or whatever. Like I saw u a video from Benny Johnson uh where he was talking about, you know, this news article that he didn't read the whole news article. He just read some of it and he's like, "Israel got us into this war." And he even read in the news article, which by the way, I also covered that news article, so go check that out. That's not what the news article says. It basically I'll I'll break it down, summarize it right quick. Benjamin Netanyahu brings a team of people to the White House. It's a secret meeting. They go down into the war room, which is usually not where they go. And they have this meeting and Benjamin Netanyahu tries to convince Donald Trump that this is what we should do. Right now is the time to strike. And there was four points to to the uh plan that they put out. What What does Donald Trump do? Oh, well, he says, "Okay, sounds good." Sends Benjamin Netanyahu away and tells his people, "Okay, let's go verify what he said." And they come back and tell him look the first two points which was basically killing the Ayatollah and all those however many leaders I think 40ome of their top people killed he said that's definitely achievable. Wiping out their military is definitely achievable but you know complete regime change like basically having the Kurds come in and help with the fight on the ground and having the people rise up. We can't predict that. And that was part of the program from Benjamin Netanyahu. So Donald Trump was like weighed his options. Said, "Okay, do you think this is realistic and they basically told him what they could do and what they couldn't do?" And Donald Trump was like, "Okay, well, if they want parts three and four, which is you can't plan for those things, well, they can take care of that. we're gonna do this and we're gonna take out this thorn in the side of America and the rest of the world. We're gonna eliminate this regime. And so Donald Trump made the decision himself, right? If his advisers would have came back and said, "This isn't a good idea." As a matter of fact, some of them were were like kind of skeptical like, "Yeah, we can do it, but there's going to be significant backlash." And Donald Trump was like, "Okay, we're going to do this. We're going to do this once and for all. It's insane how these people just believe the nonsense. Like, in what world does does any of it make any sense that Israel is running our country? Seriously. Like, just because Apac has a lot of influence over our politicians, like I'm sorry. Look, you can think what you want, but this is how it is, folks. Apac does not buy politicians. That's absurd. What they do is they see pro-Israel politicians and they're like, "We're going to fund this because this is a good message for us." It's not the other way around. And that's what a lot of people think. They think because Apac dumps a bunch of money into a lot of different politicians. Well, those politicians were already pro- Israel. Just because you're not pro- Israel doesn't mean that other people aren't. It's insane how people think sometimes. Like they just their discernment level is like one or something when the average is like five. Blows my freaking mind. But I think that's all I got. You guys, let me know what y'all think. But let's talk about a Christianity. Okay. So, as a Christian, right, when Donald Trump says, "We're going to war." I don't like to see that, folks. I don't like war at all. But once again, I am not a child. I am not going to sit here and flip out be and like, "Oh, I don't support Donald Trump anymore. This is a bridge too far for me. I'm not going to freak out. I'm going to deal with the situation like an adult." This is happening. So, where am I going to support? Right. We got to show support for America, right? Are we doing the right thing? That's what I'm going to look at. Okay, we're going to war. I don't like war. So, let me see why we're going to war here. And if they can explain it in good enough terms, I'm like, okay, I'm not going to cry about it. I'm not going to winge about it. Not going to nash my teeth or anything like that. I don't have to like what's going on to support it, right? I'm not in full support like cheering for this. Of course not, folks. People are dying. I don't like to see people die because that's every person that dies is one less person that can be converted to Christianity, if you will. And that's that's what our ultimate goal is, right? We are called to spread Christianity to the entire world. Make disciples of all nations. That's what we are called to do, folks. And once again, you know, people people like to think that, you know, war and all this, oh, well, that that you can't be a Christian and like those things. Well, nobody said we had to like those things. But once again, folks, the wages of sin is death. God is not only a loving God, but he is also a just God. Now, that is when it comes to sin. Instead of us dying for our sins, what did he do? He took that punishment because it was his rules. And those rules must be enforced because God is perfect. And you can't be perfectly just and perfectly loving and kill your children for your rules. But God knows he wouldn't actually die, so he took that punishment himself. I love that, folks. By the way, I absolutely love that. And we should represent that in our own lives when our children mess up and do something wrong. Not saying don't punish them, but once again, we can look to our teachings. How did we parent as humans? Did we do a good enough job to make them make the right decision? Oh, if they made the wrong decision, what we got to think to ourselves, where did we go wrong? That's what God did for us. And it's great, folks. And I I don't see how people can't see that. You know, that the atheists, they try to mock Christianity on a consistent basis, which Tucker Carlson's not complaining about that. He never complains about Christianity being mocked. But anyway, you know, they they mock us. They they call God sky daddy and things of that nature. It's like that's not a good idea. Not a good idea at all, folks. But look, we we've got to be the best possible Christians we can try to be. You know, I would say if we had a Christian government, we would never ever go to war, unless it was defensive, of course. But we don't have a Christian government, folks. We have a secular government. And that is how the framers meant for this whole experiment to be a Christian nation with a secular government to be free from the influences of the church. Because folks, churches can be corrupted. Religion can't. But it's the church that can be corrupted. That's why we have separation of church and state. It's why we have a secular government. So, it can't be corrupted by the church or it's insulated from that corruption, I should say. But that doesn't mean that Christians cannot be in politics, folks. Because if we do not stand up for our moral values and represent those moral values in government, then the atheists will. And it's like, okay, folks, which ones do we want? Do would we at least want a government that is working toward a a [music] good moral framework or have people in that government that have no moral framework whatsoever? [music] There's no boundaries by which their morality can run. None. Which one would we rather [music] have? Which version of society has built up humans to the highest levels? Atheism or Christianity? Folks, we we got to worship God. We just do. We must. That's all I'm going to say. You guys try to have a good day. [music] Stay legitimical. Peace. Heat. [music] [music] Hey, heat. Hey, heat. >> [music]
