First question here is related to the fourth turning. Where are we in the fourth turning and when will it end? Really hasn't changed. You know, for anyone who's, you know, it's going to end in the early 30s. Yep. And we're kind of right on track.
Look around the world right now. We're looking at, you know, how these negotiations are going to end with Iran. We're looking at the Ukraine war, obviously, uh the Western Pacific, and we're looking at political developments here in the US. As as um as I think I've I've told listeners many times, the the whole question about internal versus external conflict is um is always a tossup until late in the fourth turning. And I think we see the same thing here.
Now, what what do you mean by internal versus external conflict? Like what what's an example of of that?
Internal would be internal would be the US civil war. Oh, okay. Gotcha. Yeah. External is like World War II and defeating global fascism. Gotcha.
And and when when a fourth turning ends typically like what pre what precedes that? Like what what what type of world events have we seen historically? You know, sort of you say it likely ends based on your sort of historical cycle in the in the third in the 2030s. What do we see ahead of that?
You mean after that? Well, no, like just, you know, sort of going in, you know, what is what are sort of the last types of things we see and then what emerges after? Typically, very often we see just great conflict. You know what I mean? That's kind of the climax. It's actually my in my book I referred to that as the echyrosis. you know, the the the kind of the the burning of everything and the kind of the creating of a new order. Um, but uh but then it then it's over, you know, and the secret is getting through it as as painlessly as we can, right? I mean, the the order has to be remade, but but we don't want to suffer needless uh damage on the way through it.
Yeah. But um but you know, I'm looking domestically at at the Trump administration sort of running a presidency uh as a a president is a dime to fight enemies and most of his enemies are here at home, right? Um uh that's certainly every time he pardons someone, it's all about this guy supported me. He's on our side. You know what I mean? Everyone was our side, their side, our side, their side. Trump is the perfect uh uh kind of in a way he's he's the he's the paradigm leader for a fourth turning. He sees everything in terms of friends and enemies.
