The Bible doesn't say, "And when you sin, it's not expecting you to." It says, "If you slip into that thing, if you fall into weakness..." You are not on the earth for what people can do for you; you're on the earth to love them and manifest God to them.
Analytical? It's not a gift. Analytical is never the Lord. I've been sharing this lately; it's been on my heart to amplify and clarify this. A high IQ, intellect is a gift – how about a high IQ doesn't need it to mean it's a curse? And your silly intellectual… I think that's cool. If you have a high end of life analytical, it's not a gift. Analytical is never the Lord. I'll explain it, though. I feel that a little bit. People say, "Well, I'm just analytical." Stop boasting! It's not a gift. People say, "Well, God gave us the ability to reason." Not in analytical thinking. Here's what analytical thinking does: it empowers you to talk yourself out of Him, to talk yourself out of worth, to talk yourself out of love. It makes simple things complicated. God loves you. I don't know how He can love me, and loves you. Oh yeah, but I have a hard time believing He can love me after all I… I mean, I knew for years I've been in church and I went against… and loves you. How can you be so sure, brother? Because Christ is hanging on that tree. That's why we've got to live from a place of fellowship and relationship with God.
We are not reading our Bibles for head knowledge; we are reading our Bibles to know Him, so we can know who we are in Him and all that good stuff. We're reading our Bibles for Him, to know Him, right? So when I read, I don't want to read apart from relationship. I don't just read like I'm reading a novel or a history book. Man, Father, I thank You. You inspired men to write these words by Your Spirit. These words are spirit and life, and they'll forever changed my life. They identify me; they teach me; they lead me; they guide me; give me a revelation. I want to know what You're saying; I want to see what You're seeing; I want to become what You made me to be as I read. Holy Spirit, thank You for communing with me, showing me, teaching me, speaking to me. I love You. That's how I read my Bible.
And then when I find that I have peace with God through the Lord Jesus Christ because I've been justified by faith, sometimes I'll just stop reading and go, "Father, I thank You that there's peace between You and me, and Your peace resides in me," and I just thank You that You're my Daddy God, and You've justified me through Your Son, just as if I've never sinned. I'm sitting on this bed right now, and You see me as if I've never failed, never made a mistake. You… You've seen me through Your Son, and You've judged me in righteousness, and I'm so excited. That's how I read my Bible. God has given us every faucet and avenue to win, and He told us to do it without fear. And the fact that we fear so quickly proves we have a long way to go and grow. So that stopped thinking we know so much in trying to explain everything when we still need to know Him more. Because if I'm living without fear, I'm a lot closer than I've ever been before, and I'm gonna see an authority in my life that I haven't seen before. And all of a sudden, I'm not praying because I'm a man in need; I'm praying because I have an amazing answer, and I'm in covenant. And all of a sudden, God's not defined by the circumstance; the circumstance is defined by God. That's the difference.
Listen, guys, if you're watching this, it can make me cry. I've seen countless people fall into this trap, countless. Here's the deal: it's so simple. See, to keep the Gospels so simple: if you're feeling bad about the thing, and you don't want to keep repeating the memory or the thought or the feeling of the dream, then it's… or it's Asher revealing that it's not in your heart; it's not who you are. Like if you could turn it off, your wood, but it keeps coming, and that's a scheme of the devil. Yeah, it's a reminder; it's a familiar spirit. So listen to me carefully: if you're looking at this thing and watching this thing on YouTube or whatever, if you're feeling bad about what you're doing, it is not who you are; it's not your desire. And I'm talking about memories, flashbacks, emotions, dreams. In the biggest trap we do, we think it's spiritual. We call out them for prayer; we call the protein for prayer. So what you're saying is, "I need prayer; I need this to go away. This is me; this is who I am. I don't like thinking this; I don't like feeling this; I don't like remembering this." Listen, somehow I have to convey to you today, and you and help you understand this, that if you're bothered by it, man, you ought to rejoice because there was a time in your life you didn't have that discernment; you didn't care; you weren't that sensitive. There was a time in your life where it might even been normal to do what you were doing, to remember what you were remembering, and… and think what you were thinking. But now it bothers you. Doesn't that tell you you're changing, men? You ought to be excited. Don't let the devil trip you up and try to say this is still you. Flashback… were created to live… One of my biggest heart rises conveying this truth. And then you said, "What's the biggest message?" It's this message. It's coupled with becoming love. Yeah, because the whole purpose of this righteous conscious message is it just so you feel better about yourself and receive the love of Jesus. It's so that in receiving the love of Jesus, you actually get transformed into the very expression of who He is. And it's Christ in you; Christ in me; Christ in you. That's the hope of glory. Know what? When you're bound by a cycle, when you're bound by condemnation, the Christ in you gets totally suppressed. Requests you can't even see that reality. Oh, you see as your failures; all you see is your everyday actions. So the gospel and the blood speaking better things has to be greater to go down inside of you and change the way you think, in the way you see yourself. Yeah, so you start seeing yourself in Him and through Him instead of where you've been and what you've done. And I've always said, you know, you can never change or even in what you've done, but who you aren't you changed. And we know you are changes. God will never judge you for… Oh, judge you for… even me… All those things have changed my life. So for 23 years, it's been a solid just fun running race with no… really, I don't… you know… Listen, I'm not going to try to sell you nothing; I'm just gonna talk plain, you guys. Let me come in; I'm just gonna talk straight, all right? Time will tell I'm telling the truth. 23 years and not… this just 23 years of life in Him, not letting life speak louder than truth, not letting things matter more than what matters most, not letting people ever again decide who I am or how I am when He's already settled that in me and giving me confidence and no fear of man and understanding the truth about my life and why I'm here and why He's inside of me. See, that's the stuff. It took me a long time to figure out. I was 33 when I got saved. I'm looking out here at you guys in most your ages, and I'm thinking, "Man, this is exciting that you guys can get a hold of this, that you're even here in a facility like this and doing what you're doing." I'm proud of you, and I'm excited to stay focused, right? Please make it all about Him; make it all about getting to know Him more and who He is, becoming the reality and the expression of your life. Yeah, it's really not about ministry; it's about becoming something. And when you become something, ministry… it's just… it just happens constantly. Like you're not trying to build anything; you're ministering what's already here. I'm not on the earth to be loved by you; I'm on the earth to love you. That is the biggest thing in my heart right now. I feel that all of us need to grab right now. You are not on the earth for what people can do for you; you're on the earth to love them and manifest God to them, no matter how stiff-necked, arrogant, inconsistent they are. How did that matter where God's concerning you? Did He cut you off? Did He trash you? Did He draw a line, or did He love you to the place of freedom? Did He love you to the place of salvation? Did He… What you see… I'm getting closer [Music]. This is serious. Come on. This is one of the biggest stumbling blocks in the church. We're still offended; we're still arrogant; we're still met; we're still set up for failure; we're still holding people accountable. If they can still hurt you, why don't you die to yourself? And oh no, man, nothing but to love. Why do people owe you? If God held you to that standard, you've failed, guys. We don't forgive because we're forgiving; we don't forgive so we're forgiving; we forgive because we're forgiving. This is so awesome. I… I go to churches anymore, and I say, "Listen, I am NOT a Christian to go to heaven," and the place gets quiet. They're wondering who left this speaker in here. You're gonna blast… leave… you know that it… that's it… it's… it's my destination; it's not my mission; it's not the reason I'm born again. The reason I'm born again, Randy, is to put off the old nature, the nature of man or sin. Romans five, born into Adam. Here's the gospel in a nutshell, Randy. I was created in God's image, and God is love. That's my roots, my inheritance, my original value. You talk about genetics and inheritance and heritage; it's not through my bloodline in my biological descent. Jesus himself said, "Call no man on earth your father; you have one Father." What's He sayin'? He's saying, "Don't regulate and limit your life to natural means." You came forth in the beginning when God said, "Let us make man." So that's me. But something happened when man sinned; we were born into Adam. So everything I became through Adam, through sin, when I was born into Adam is a false identity; it's not who I am. So I was tutored by it; I grew up in it; the mentality, the wisdom attached to it, the feelings, the emotions… it's called the fall of man. Jesus came that I might be born again, saved, delivered from that fall. But the only way you can do that is you put off the old; you put on the new. So here's my… here's my simple phrase of being born again: what it means to be born again is I die to myself to become love, because selfish is a lover, 180-degree shift. And that's what happened to man when he fell; he became self-centered. And God created me to be loved. What's lacking is love. Loves to never fail; it takes no account of a suffer wrong; it doesn't seek its own. Even the Bible says in James 3, "Whose wise and understanding among you, let him prove it by the conduct of his life that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom." Watch this: it says, "If there's envy or selfishness or jealousy of self-seeking, don't boast and lie against the truth." What it's saying is you haven't even put off the old; you're still living under the attributes of the fall, and yet you've prayed a prayer to go to heaven. Being born again means exactly that: born again out of Adam into Christ. I become loved; I'm no longer self-centered and self-driven; I'm living in Christ and through Christ. And that's how I see it; that's how I share it with people on the streets. We become extremely devil-conscious if we're not careful. We talk about him a lot; we… we really do. We talk about what the devil will… the devil is… the devil that… the devil did. If we'd spend half that amount of time talking about Jesus and what He did, it would be an amazing transformation, amazing. It's an answer-conscious, answer-conscious, victory-conscious Christianity. It's… it's not about the problem; we're not troubleshooting; we're not called to troubleshoot. It's not about what the devil's saying to me; He's a liar. What's it matter? Well, yeah, but the devil's saying… show… what… He's a liar. Flip it, and you got your answer. [Applause] Pray for me. The devil's really been speaking stuff to me, man. You ought to be excited. He's a liar; flip it. He says you're never gonna make it; you must be gonna make it. Why do you… why do you need prayer? You do not need prayer; you need to believe the faith. The Bible doesn't say, "And when you sin," it's not expecting you to. It says, "If you slip into that thing, if you fall into weakness…" Why don't we let grace decide what our lives can look like instead of past experience? Does anybody ever really laid down their life and settled in righteousness to let grace decide what they can be? Are we already determined in that by our own failures or own perceptions and our own experiences? Are we really living by faith and trusting the grace of God? Because my Bible says, "If I live by the Spirit, I will not fulfill the lust of the flesh." Now what are you going to do with that? Get deep in theology and talk God out of what He said? Get so deep and psychological and study human behavior that you come up with some… out… Come on, I'm not being sarcastic; I'm… I'm being challenging. I admit… If I live by the Spirit, I will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. What do you do with that? Well, brother, you're freaking me out; that's blasphemy; you're saying you're perfect. No, I'm saying I never think about sin 'coz I'm not supposed to. I left that country; remember, I moved out of that house for good. Well, then… so amazing. I hope you had a breakthrough.
