Today, by the grace of God, we're taking the second part of a three-part message. Last week, we took the first part of the message titled "When You Have a Revelation or Strong Intuition That Something Is Wrong."
And we're taking our text one more time from Jonah. Please open to Jonah chapter one, and we shall look at verses 1 to 8 of Jonah chapter 1. The title, once again, of the message is "When You Have a Revelation or a Strong Intuition" [Music] that something is wrong, something is just not right. When circumstances like this play out, most you can't, you won't have a fact. You will have something to point to to confirm your fears or your concern, but you just have that strong feeling that something is wrong, something is not right.
And we defined an intuition to imply the ability to know something by using your feelings rather than considering the facts. So, as you move forward in life, there will be circumstances and instances when going with the fact would be a mistake. Going with what appears to be the truth will be an error. There will be times in your life when you will fall into a big deception if you go with what appears to be the fact that is being presented.
So, when these things are happening, what are the possible causes? That is our focus. What are the possible causes when something is wrong? And the best way to begin to identify them is to look at the same scriptural instances that were looked at at the beginning of the first part of the message. And that begins with the case of Jonah in Jonah chapter 1, verses 1 to 17. I just highlight a few verses. From verse 1, it said, "The Lord spoke to Jonah, son of Amittai, 'Go and tell them that it's evil to stop doing such evil, such evil things.'" But Jonah tried to run away from the Lord. In verse 4, he said, "But the Lord brought a great storm on the sea. The wind made the sea very rough. The storm was very strong, and the boat was ready to break apart." Then the men said to each other, "We should throw lots to find out why this thing is happening to us." So the men threw lots, and the Lord showed that the troubles came to them because of Jonah. May the Lord reveal to you the secret behind your troubles. Let the Lord hear your amen, because sometimes the key to the solution is just a revelation of the secret behind the problem. The moment it's known, it's already 90% solved.
So, in this instance, you can see what was the cause of the problem. It was God that was using His supernatural influence against Jonah for refusing to do what He wanted Him to do. And in the process, it affected everyone that was on that same ship that Jonah wanted to use in his disobedience to God.
Genesis 39, verses 6 to 20. That was a case of Potiphar, Pharaoh, Joseph, and Potiphar's wife. I spoke on that earlier. Based on the allegation of his wife, Potiphar, the Bible says, became angry, very angry. In verse 20, it says, "So Potiphar put Joseph into prison where the king's enemies were kept." And that is where Joseph remained. It took divine intervention because it was God who orchestrated the film, the, the, the dream of Pharaoh, because God orchestrated, you know, the chief baker, a butler, being positioned to mention Joseph's name at that point in time. Otherwise, only God knows for how long Joseph would have remained in prison for a very wicked and false allegation.
So, what was the cause in that instance? Someone wickedly, intentionally lied against Joseph. Lied against Joseph. And you say, "What one of those things you learn from in this story?" In the story of Joseph and Potiphar's wife, you know, it wasn't a case of someone who was consistently having issues with Joseph. You know, there are people that have issues with a particular person, and in that state of bitterness, in that state of strife, they can sometimes, you know, come up with a lie in order to get at that person. What you should learn from was that this was a woman that was consistently professing love, professing love to Joseph. She kept on giving Joseph the impression that she loved him in order to seduce him. Every time she spoke about Joseph, she spoke well about him. Every time she talked with Joseph privately, she spoke good words about him. And then suddenly, because Joseph refused to do what she wanted him to do, this same woman instantly came up with a very destructive allegation against an innocent soul. I guess the same man that she had given the impression that she loved so much. It's a big and deep lesson, very big and deep lesson.
So, sometimes the evidence, you know, what appears to be on the ground, it looks like this is a wrong person, this person has done something wrong. But if you are sensitive in the spirit, your spirit will tell you the story is beyond that.
Then, finally, in Joshua chapter 7, Joshua chapter 7, verses 1 to 12. Joshua 7:1-12. You'd, what was the cause of the problem there? There was something sinful, something evil had happened secretly, and it now had, it was not leading to negative results, leading to defeat, leading to negative consequences physically and publicly. So, when something wrong has happened, for instance, secretly, it can lead to contrary physical results. In some cases, it can lead to a curse. So, what we follow there will now be manifestations of the consequences of a curse as a result of a secret thing that happened. It will sometimes lead to unfavorable outcomes in the physical. It attracts negative or evil experiences or attacks. In verse 25, you see a lot of some key, uh, notes there from that, from that story in Joshua chapter 7.
And in rounding up, in rounding up this part of the message, in this third and final part, we'll look at the solutions. But still talking about common causes of circumstances when something is wrong, it could be that a simple mistake is costing you your destiny. A simple mistake is costing you your destiny. Do you know that a single mistake can hinder the destiny of a woman, the destiny of a man? A single mistake can delay God's promises and blessings from manifesting. Do you know that a single mistake can limit, can immediately attract a limit to so much that a particular person could have received or experienced? A single mistake. When you choose, sometimes it could also be even in the realm of of names. Names. Choosing the wrong name for some people, it may not really have an effect, but for some people, it would have an effect. And that is why, for instance, when God now leads you to change a name, you have to flow with the wisdom of God. There must be a reason why God wants you to affect it. And always remember this: what you don't know can also affect you. Not only what you know about, but even what you don't know can also affect you. For instance, you are living in a house and you see some strange writings on the wall of that house. Even though you don't know the meaning of that, of those writings, you don't know what is made, the purpose, it can affect you when you live in that house. And if you live in that house, a nickname can affect you. A name can affect you. And a nickname can affect you.
So, some people, so different reasons. Some people today, something is wrong. Why? Currently, they are in a permissive will of God in an area of their life, and it's affecting so many things. You are currently in a permissive will of God in an area of your life, and it's affecting so many good things from manifesting. [Music]
And sometimes, it could be to the influence and effect of some strong spiritual factors. Could be spiritual attacks, could be spiritual manipulations. If there is an evil covenant or initiation and it's yet to be revoked, then it can affect and affect a lot of and influence a lot of things negatively. And it doesn't have to be you that was involved in that covenant. It doesn't have to be you that was even initiated. People have suffered for covenants that were affected by parents or grandparents. Sometimes, it could be a spell. It could be a cast or a spirit that has been planted, projected into a particular life, a family, or sometimes into a physical entity like a land, a property. A spell has been put on it. We have seen situations, we've heard stories where some mechanics, you know, rent a plot of land or some plot of land to use because the owner is not yet ready to build. And some of them haven't stayed there, and people have gotten to know them with that place. They eventually cast a spell on that land. So when the person is ready to sell, nobody comes to buy. Nobody comes to buy. If people show up, somehow, somehow the transaction will never sail through. And the same mechanic is the one that when they come, we take them round and show them, and you know, the place is very big, whereas he knows what he has done secretly to make sure that nobody buys that prop, that land, because he wants to remain there as long as possible.
So, there are instances where spirits have been projected into the lives of people. It could be a spirit of infirmity, spirit of cancer, stroke, barrenness, infertility, poverty, financial hardship, marital failure, bad luck. Spells in this dimension have been cast on some people. So, even when everything is in place, the person will still fail. Something will still go wrong. But today, God has decided to show someone mercy. Every gene of bad luck in a particular area of life you have been exposed to, today, by the mercy and the power of God, that gene is broken in the name of Jesus. That yoke is broken in the name of Jesus. The Lord today sets you free. The Lord sets your loved one free. The Lord sets your family free in the name of Jesus. And whatever you have been denied of as a result of this spiritual attack, from today, the door is open for a great restoration in the name of Jesus. Receive access to what belongs to you in the name of Jesus. Praising the Lord.
So, a lot of things are happening. A lot of things are happening. Some people are having issues today why they have bought a cursed land. They have bought a cursed property. So, we need to be careful. We need to be very careful. And sometimes, there will, there will be one or two, three people. There could be some neighbors or some elders who know that secret, who know that secret. So, when somebody close to them shows intention, "No, no, no, don't go there, don't go there." But eventually, a stranger is going to come and innocently buy that land, buy that property, marry that cursed person.
And in some other instances, still on the spiritual, it could be cases of evil dedication that is yet to be broken. And there are some people who have strange powers. We are not talking of a talent, a gift, a spiritual gift from God. There are some people who have strange powers, evil powers, and with that strange power, they can do certain things. They need to be delivered. They need to be set free. So, these are all dimensions of reasons and causes behind strange experiences of people.
In some other cases, it could be what we call strongholds. When Jesus was describing the spirit in Mark 9:29, he said, "This kind cannot go except by prayer and fasting." This is not an ordinary spirit. This is a powerful spirit, wicked spirit, and it takes, you know, increased spiritual force to take out this kind of spirit. So, they are what we call strongholds in the spiritual realm. As I speak to you right now, there are people whose lives, families, communities, and in some instances, nations. We have some leaders of African countries who have covenanted their nation to the devil in order to get power and stay in power. They have covenanted their nation to the devil. So, there are families, they are individuals whose destinies have been caged. Their lives have been caged. Their lives have been caged. There are strong spiritual strongholds that hinder the potentials of certain people. They frustrate you from achieving great things. They will allow you to make some progress, average progress, but when it's going to be something big, they show up to stop you. From today, that wicked move will never succeed in your life again. Every force behind such wickedness in your life, or your family, or your loved ones, the Lord arises to stop them in the name of Jesus. [Applause] These are realities. These are realities.
So, in summary, these things happen. Some as a result of curses, covenants, the influence of ancient altars, evil altars. I mentioned something about names not too long ago. You know, the angel came to just Jacob, and Jacob, recognizing this was a divine personality, said, "No, you can't leave me now without a blessing." And the angel, in releasing a blessing, put a right foundation before the blessing. Put a right foundation. He said, "You shall no longer be called Jacob." Whatever is causing leakages in the flow of God's blessing in your life, the Lord corrects that faulty foundation. [Applause] What does Jacob mean? Deceiver. Names have an influence. There was one gangster when we were much younger that used to call him Cemetery. He died. He died. He died very young, very, in his 20s, and ended up in the cemetery. Some had all kinds of, you know, negative names. Eventually, it affected some of them, not all of them. And there are some of these names. Go, just Google online, meanings of names. You will see there are meanings. Donald means pride. Donald means pride. So, when someone is called Donald and he becomes so proud, so arrogant, the name is also part of the problem. Change your name, Jacob. From now, it shall be Israel. There are some names that glorify Satan. Some names glorify the marine world. Names that are directly glorifying Satan or some demonic spirits. You have the right to change your name. Your father had the authority because you're a baby, but as you come up in life, you have the right to change your name. And the earlier you change that name, the better. And it's more important when you have a revelation to change your name. That means it is, if you don't change it, it will affect you. Some people get away with it. If you have a revelation about it, you must change it.
So, sometimes too, it could be due to manipulations of charms. Somebody is under manipulation. Somebody is under manipulation. That is why the spirit of God is saying something is wrong. Someone is under money, serious manipulation, serious manipulation. And the last one could be wrong positioning. Wrong positioning. It could be your career. Wrong positioning. You're in the wrong career, that's why things are not working the way it ought to work. Wrong location. At this time of your life, you're in the wrong location, the wrong city, the wrong nation, the wrong organization. A time will come when that same city that is not the right one will become the right one. There was a time Jesus was destined to briefly, temporarily, be in Egypt. So, circumstances played out, and the Lord told his father, Joseph, he said, "Take this child away because Herod wants to kill him." And he took him to Egypt. But there was a prophecy to that effect. And eventually, when Herod died, an angel came to the father again and said, "Take the child back." So, the same location that God was saying, "Move out from" at a particular time, God will lead you back to that same location at another time. And sometimes, when you get back there, it should be permanent. It's all about being at the right place at the right time and in the right phase of your life and destiny. There will be a time to leave your hometown. There will be a time to return to your hometown. For some people, for some people, it's a wrong business. That's why something is wrong. Wrong courtship leading to a wrong marriage eventually. For some, that's why something is wrong. That's why things are not working. Wrong nominees, wrong decision, wrong choice. So, we encourage you to be sensitive to your intuition. [Music]
