All right, I'm going to show you my favorite AI video editing tools that are built inside of Dscript. And these are totally going to change the way that you make your videos and make it faster and easier for you to create content. And we've also got access to now, I think, is the craziest AI editing feature. It's out in beta right now, and I'll be showing you towards the end of this video.
But Dscript is honestly my favorite creation tool right now. It's what I'm using to create this video, to edit this video, and even upload it direct to our YouTube channel. Now, these are in no particular order, but spoiler, there are 10 of them. So, the first one is voice cloning. This is really powerful whether you are using it to generate an entire video where you're just typing the video out and it's going to read it out in your voice, or where we use it mostly is if I've said the wrong thing. Yes, it happens all the time. I can come in here and I can adjust my video script and type out the new changes, and the AI voice cloning inside of Dscript is going to resay those things. It's going to read out my new text, but do it in my voice.
So the first thing you obviously want to do here is to train your voice. So we can come up here where we've got our speaker and we come down here to create a new speaker. Let's go to JB test. Now if we come back up here again to select this under this new voice that we've created, we can then choose here, enable speech generation. So this will get to train the AI on our voice. So it gives you a statement here that you need to read out. You'll obviously want to use the same microphone that you are using in your videos, or use the same camera ideally. Said the microphones and everything match. You go ahead, you record that and you'll upload that, and then it's going to very quickly learn your voice.
So my other voice character here, Justin Brown, this one you see did already have AI next to it. So let's just say in this example here that we wanted to add some text in here. We could choose write, and I can say, "Remember to subscribe," and we can choose done writing. So, at the moment, that's just text, but the moment we hit that, you can see it's down here generating AI speech. It's creating this voice for us. So, you can use this to correct any text in here, or obviously write out new stuff as well. And there's a bunch of AI voices that you can use in there as well. But obviously, what we're talking about here is training it with your own voice. Let's click over here and let's play this.
"Remember to subscribe."
That's pretty solid. "Remember to subscribe." Now, we can also regenerate this if we need to. We can regenerate AI speech, and it's going to give us a different version on it. So if we're not happy with how I say "subscribe" here, we can regenerate that word or that section, whatever we're highlighting there, and get a different version of it. Now obviously at this point, you'll see we've got video on screen for the rest of it here. But for right now, this here is just the audio piece. Now I have heard a rumor that there is a video piece for this coming, potentially, fingers crossed, where it's going to move your mouth and everything for you.
But in the case of this, I would just select the text here. If this was my video here, I would just move this into its own dedicated scene. And don't worry, we've got a full tutorial on how to use Dscript at a much deeper level, which is linked in the description box. But I just select this text here, or this area here, and I would come down here to stock. And then we can add in a subscribe element. Let's go show all. Something like this. Drag and drop it on. And now for when we say here, "Remember to subscribe." Subscribe. We've now got that subscribe graphic. You can see how fast and easy this stuff is.
So, the next one, number two, is AI translation. So, back here in Dscript, let's say we've got our finished video here that is edited down. Likely be a bit longer than this, but what we want to do is come over here to actions and then scroll down until we find translate. Then we get to choose here to translate from English, in this case. And we get to pick the language that we want to translate to. And you can actually select multiple languages here as well. So I'm going to go ahead and let's pick French. Why not? So, not just translating the text, the captions, we can also do the voice piece. So if I select this, it's going to say, which voice do we want to pick? So we can either pick our AI voice that we already trained, or you can actually pick one of their preset voices in here too.

So you can see you've got lots of different options here. I'm going to do this here in my voice. Now, your voice might not be supported in all languages right now. They are still building this out. But I can hit submit. It's going to go off. It's going to create the translation. The translation was quick. Here we go. We can see that there already. And it is now generating the AI speech in my voice in French. So now that's done, we can click on here to listen to this.
Definitely my voice sounds like me, and I'm speaking French. Now, obviously at this point, the lips and everything moving are still me speaking English. It's not lined the lips up, but pretty crazy that we can auto translate using AI our voice now too.
Number three is the AI writing tools. So, if you want help creating a video from scratch, we can come over here to AI actions and we can scroll down the bottom here to this write area. There is an amazing brainstorming tool here if you're not sure of what content to create. So, it says here, "Hone your ideas by asking AI actions questions, or letting it ask you." There's functionality in here to write your script for you. So, not only can we brainstorm it, we can write a script, we can write an outline, or if you've already got a script or an overview for a video, there's tools in here to help you rewrite it as well.
So, if we go here, write a script. Let's, in this case, leave the length at 500 words. We do need to give it here a starting point. So any notes, topics, or ideas to adapt into this script. So we've got here, "Why Dscript is the best editing software right now." Tone, audience, examples, and we can also give it custom instructions here too. But just even without all of this stuff, I'm just going to hit submit. And it's going to go off to their AI underlord here, and it's going to write something for us. Now, obviously with anything AI like this, the more context we give it, generally the better the outcome because it's going to be closer to what we want. But you can see how fast and easy it is having all of these tools under the one roof.
But specifically for this video when we're talking about the AI video editing tools, we can actually use this now to add to a script. So we can click this button. We now have our script here if this is as we want it. We can obviously make changes and things to it. And we can then have it generate the script into our voice, or we can use it to record into Dscript. And we could use this as like a teleprompter to present our script as well. So it doesn't mean that we need to create a video from scratch with AI. We definitely can, but we can use here like the hybrid approach where it's helping us plan and script our video, and then we're doing the presenting piece too.
Number four is studio sound. So, studio sound again is up here under AI actions. And we have here studio sound. It says here that this will remove background noise and enhance your voices. This can work miracles on footage where maybe you've got too much wind noise, background noise, echo. This studio sound will really help you fix your audio like it was created in a studio.
So, a great example of this is this video right now. I'm currently testing out this DJI Mic Mini, and I think it does a pretty good job, but I'm where I'm shooting this, it's not a sound-treated environment. So, there's a bit of echo and everything. And you'll hear the raw, what this sounds right now, the raw footage or the raw recording. This is what this mic sounds like. So, up until now, you've actually been hearing this mic, this recording, but with studio sound applied. So, if we go ahead and apply the studio sound again now, then this is the difference it can make.
So, when you apply this, you do have the option here to adjust the studio sound setting. So, we can adjust the intensity. The default is 100. What I've normally found is around 70 to 50% is around where I normally leave it. So, we've got still some background noise to make it sound and feel real, but it's going to come down to the actual clips that you're putting in here. But, this is an amazing tool to help you save maybe some footage that wasn't that good before, or to help you enhance the audio on videos where the audio was decent, but let's take it to the next level.
Number five is edit for clarity. So, I've come back to this project here where we've currently got no editing applied. If we come up here to AI actions and down here to edit for clarity, and it says here that this is going to help us cut to the chase. This is exactly what I need. It's going to remove filler words, digressions, blather, all the obvious cuts.
So, we then get to choose when we select that, what our editing intensity is like. Now, this is the default setting. So, I'd like to start here. And then we can also have this use AI speech as well if we'd like. So this is where it could, it says, reword or regenerate small parts of the script in order to improve flow. So if it thinks you could have said things better, more concise, or another way, or things it needs, it thinks you might need to fix, like that was a perfect example, then you can do this, and it will automatically correct those for you using your voice if you've trained it up. I'm going to ignore that one here for now. Let's just let it run through. Remove the filler words, digressions, blah, and all the obvious cuts.
And we can see here it's gone through and it's scratched out, or it's making suggested edits to all of these areas here in our timeline where it thinks we could remove them all. So we can either go through one by one and tick and apply, or cancel out on these. We can jump straight in and apply it. So we just come down the bottom here and hit done. And we can see that it's already made a lot of those edits and things on the side here for us. Is this perfect? No. But is it going to save you a lot of time and get you much closer to a finished video? Yes. I mean, we can already see here that this video is now down to 2 minutes 56 seconds just from clicking this edit for clarity with no extra guidance or instruction from us. If we go back to what it was originally, it was 5 minutes 16. So already this edit for clarity is going to save us a lot of time. But my favorite feature, which is number 10 on this list, really blows this out of the water. So make sure you stick around for that. But the process from here would be that you just start reviewing your video from this point, either playing through it or looking at the script here and just doing a quick skim of what are the things that you want to remove. But we can see how much that this has already removed for us that has saved us so much of that manual work.
Number six is eye contact. Okay, so we've got a test file here. Let's go ahead and play. This is a test video where I'm looking at myself on the screen instead of over here at the camera lens, right? So, there's an amazing AI tool in here that's going to correct my eye position and make it look like I'm looking at the camera. Again, we want to come over here to AI actions. And if we scroll down, there is a feature here under a section called "Look Good." Very important, called eye contact. So, we select this. You can see that's been enabled. And straight away, I'm looking at the camera. Let's just turn this off and back on. That is just insane. A little creepy, but I think this is something that's going to remove a lot of barriers for people looking to create content, especially if they want to have scripts or notes or things off to the side to help them stay focused, to help them stay on track when they're presenting. They don't now need to worry about keeping eye contact with the viewers. They can look wherever they need to. And this tool here can adjust their eyes so that they're still having that connection with their audience. So, let's play this again.
Now, is a test video where I'm looking at my even blinking screen instead of over here at the camera lens. I mean, that's scary, but awesome.
Number seven is center active speaker. So, this center active speaker feature can be used a couple of different ways. A great way is if you're looking to repurpose something like your widescreen footage here into a portrait video, where we could manually go through and we could be scaling things up and manually repositioning everything so that it was centered on the screen. But if you've got a big project with lots of different clips and things, it's going to be a pretty tedious task.
If we undo this now, so we're back to our widescreen project. If we come over here to AI actions and we come down here to center active speaker, and then we get to choose our aspect ratio here, or the video we're going to create. Let's choose portrait. Let's hit submit, and it's gone ahead and done that for us. So now if we jump around and preview this video, you'll see that I am centered here throughout that video. But this can also work really well if you're editing a podcast and you've got multiple people speaking. It can automatically switch between who is the active speaker and make them full screen on your video as well. Again, a massive timesaver.
Number eight is blur speaker background. Now, I've actually got two quick effects that I want to show you in here. Both of them really, really powerful. We have the ability to use AI to add some extra blur to the background behind your presenter. So, in this case, there's already a little bit of blur from the camera that I'm using. But with this layer selected again here under AI tools, we can come down here to blur speaker background, and that goes ahead, very quickly analyzes your clip, and you can see now the background has been blurred out much more. But we can then come down here if we select our layer. We've got the effect here, blur speaker background. We can press on this and we can adjust the amount of blur. So you can really dial this up or down here. Probably something around here looks pretty good. And if we do a before and after. So this is after. Before. After. You can see it's just a bit more subtle, a little bit of extra blur to make your videos look a bit more professional.
But the second piece of this again that we can access under AI actions or down here under visual effects as well. We have the ability here to apply a green screen cutout where it goes through and again analyzes your clip and will remove the background and cut you out from the background here. So you can see if I move around here now, there's nothing here in the background, which means we could do things like come over here to our stock library. We could maybe even pick out one of the backgrounds in here. Let's grab this one. And it's automatically applied to our scene there. And we can scale me up or down, move me around, and all of this is happening in almost real time. Pretty amazing.
Number nine is create clips. So here in Dscript now I've got a live stream I ran with James Wedmore. So there's two of us here in the video, and it switches up between him full screen, me full screen, or this 50/50 screen split here. So if we come up here to AI actions and we come down here to repurpose, there's two things here that I think are absolutely amazing. The first one is create clips. This is where it says the AI actions picks your most viral-worthy moments and creates clips that pop. And it works really, really well. But there's also the ability here to create a highlight reel. So a highlight reel could almost be like a quick teaser of the best oneliners, the coolest stuff that was said in your video, and it will just cut that down for you. So this is great if you're looking for extra social media content. The find highlights could help you just find some of these key moments and things and create like a teaser for you. But in terms of generating extra content from this, this is where I think the create clips feature is amazing.
So, we're going to go here, create clips. It says here, how many clips do we want to try and find? I don't know, let's try 20. Our clip duration, let's go 60 seconds for this because a lot of platforms now will let you post up to 3 minutes as a short or a TikTok style video. We can then pick our layout here of how we want this to look. Again, you can customize all of this stuff as well. But I'm just going to pick something basic, maybe this one here for now. And we can give it extra guidance because this is going to use AI to go off and find these clips for us. It says here, "Describe the goal and criteria to find the best clips." In all honesty, I haven't ever actually used this and I've still been able to find some amazing topics and clips from this. So, I'm just going to hit submit. It says that the AI underlord is thinking. That's good.
And we are presented with some clips here for us. And you'll see as I click on them, it has created them as sub-timelines, sub-videos inside of this video project. It's given them a title as well. It's written them a description, and we can just click through to play them, but obviously we can edit them down and everything beyond here too. So, let's go ahead and give this a quick play.
"The only mistake you ever want to truly avoid, the mistake of deciding give up."
Okay, so this content piece is solid. Now, obviously here we are not seeing James speaking at this point. So, we could then use the AI actions that we had there before. And we could use the center active speaker at this point. Or we could also just jump in here and quickly move this across and scale it up to however we'd actually want it in here too. Maybe something like this. And this is an actual clip that we have exported from here and uploaded on our YouTube channel as a short. That's how awesome this is. But obviously, we can easily configure up your titles and all of that stuff in here as well. Colors, fonts, everything.
But my absolute favorite AI video editing feature in Dscript right now is the AI agent or the underlord feature. So, this here is absolutely crazy. So, I've gone back to our original project here, totally unedited. And this is where we went through to our AI actions, and we went to the edit for clarity, right? And it did a pretty good job, but we couldn't really customize much stuff up. When we go to this underlord, and this is out in beta right now, and you will have to enable that back here under the settings. Settings. I think we went to labs down the bottom here. We want this new Underlord beta on. Then here under this underlord, we just get a text prompt and we can then give it instructions as to what we want it to do.
So right now for editing our YouTube videos, this is the exact script that we are working with right now. This is constantly evolving, but this is what we're getting the AI to do with our videos. We're asking it to please perform the following task to edit the video. One, remove. Don't delete it from the script, but just remove it from the video. All filler words except for the word "so" because I start a lot of sentences with the word "so." Probably bad practice. But only remove the filler words where they don't flow naturally in a sentence. The second step, remove again, set to ignore all gaps and pauses greater than 1 second and shorten anything longer than 1 second down to 0.2 seconds. So, I love that we can get really specific with that because that's what we've found works best for our videos. Step three then is to remove all bad takes and mistakes. Strictly do not cut sentences in half. Where there is a mistake, a double up, or a retake. I want you to only use the final take or attempt in its entirety. The last take will always be the best one and the one I would like you to always use.
So, I would take this here and copy and paste this back into Dscript. And we run this now. So, it's given us its plan here. It's understood our three instructions. It's broken it down into three as well. And it's actually doing this. We can see here it's thinking. Now, obviously, it can do so much more than this. It can create different layers, different scenes. It can change up the look for you for videos that we've made. It's changing between me on camera full screen and switching between the screen share at times where it thinks is better for the viewer. You can also ask it for feedback on your video as well. What do you think we should do? What do you think about this? How do you think we could remove this and make it more engaging?
Here we go. All requests and edits have been completed. It's confirming what it's done. "Your script now reads cleanly, naturally, with only the best takes and smooth pacing." Right. So, if we have a look at this now, we're scrolling down here. You can see it did do exactly as we asked. We removed all the "one, two, one, two" testing. It's removed that first attempt of, "You could have the world's best video." So, it's used the second one here, the last one. And it even removed at the end of the sentence here where it says, "Okay, I think that was better." Right? Where I was just talking to myself. Again, perfectly normal, I promise. So, where we're at now is with one prompt here that I've given it, we're now down to 1 minute of video footage here for us to now refine further. So, is this perfect? No. But it is very, very close. And again, it's going to come down to what prompts or what guidance you're giving it. So, this is by far my favorite AI video editing feature out there across any tool or app. This is really allowing us to speed up our video creation considerably.
