300 EV subsidy, and that too on a single scooter. So, you won't believe it, but this is absolutely true. From July 1, 2026, your new EV policy has arrived, under which you will get тВ╣00 per scooter. That is, тВ╣10,000 per kilowatt. If you take a car, then brother, you will get a complete exemption from road tax. Meaning, you will save 4 to 5 lakhs there. If you take an electric three-wheeler, you will get a subsidy of up to тВ╣00. So, what is the whole issue? I will explain it to you in detail.
A few days ago, I told you that a draft policy has come from Delhi, in which some things have been mentioned. But that has now completely changed. In the news that has come out today, many things have become different. For example, after 2028, no petrol vehicles will be sold in Delhi. Meaning, whatever is sold will be electric vehicles. So, whoever is thinking of buying a petrol vehicle now, it makes no sense.
The second thing is, if you buy any EV vehicle in Delhi after July 1, you will get a subsidy. The government has invested тВ╣15,000 crore. 300 in the first year, 20,000 in the second year, and 10,000 in the third year. Meaning, if you buy a 3 kW vehicle today, you will get a subsidy of 300. But if you buy the same 3 kW vehicle next year, you will get a maximum of 20,000, and in the third year, 10,000. This will be the maximum subsidy. For example, if I buy a 2 kW vehicle in 2026, I will get 20,000. If I buy a 3 kW vehicle or above, I will get a subsidy of 300. And if I buy an electric three-wheeler, I will get a subsidy of 500 in the first year, 400 in the second year, and a maximum of 300 in the third year.
The condition here is that I cannot sell my vehicle for 3 years. Meaning, suppose I buy a vehicle in Delhi in 2026, and I cannot sell it before 2029. After that, whoever is thinking of buying an electric car, if their car is up to 30 lakhs, they will get a complete exemption from road tax. So, you can assume that you will benefit from that. You will also get an exemption in registration. But the condition is the same, that the ex-showroom price of the car should be up to 30 lakhs.
Now, many hybrid owners have become angry, saying that we should also get some benefit. But you are not getting any benefit in hybrids. You will only get a 50% exemption on road tax. You will not get any subsidy or any incentive. But 50% is also good, brother, for hybrid cars. And there is also a condition here that your car should be up to 30 lakhs only.
And the Delhi government is saying that we will install 300 charging stations, whether for two-wheelers or four-wheelers. So, if you look at it, it is a good initiative. But it is only for the Delhi government. If you live in any other state, you will not get these benefits. So, what to do now? Go to Delhi and buy an EV. Good idea, but it's not practical. It's not in your state yet. In Delhi, pollution has become very high, because of which the Delhi government brought its draft policy. Now, these are the changes that have happened in the draft policy.
Now, you tell me whether you are getting EV subsidies in your state or not. I feel that if you go to visit many companies, they will directly deny you, saying that no subsidy will be available anymore. Even I bought my Hero Vida last year. I haven't received any subsidy yet, and I have also applied to my RTO. Still, there has been no response. So, you can assume that subsidies have ended in 90% of states, and July 31, or rather July 1, is just for show, that for 30 days, 31 days, you will not get subsidies now.
If you are only in Delhi, you will be able to take full advantage, and a maximum of 300, whether you buy a 5 lakh bike or a 1 lakh bike. If your battery is 3 kWh or above, you will get 300. If it is less, then тВ╣10,000 per kWh, and that too in 2026. If you buy any vehicle from April 2027, it will be a maximum of 20,000. If you take a three-wheeler, then this, and for cars, as told, direct subsidy will not be given. You will get 100% exemption on your RTO, road tax, and registration. And if you buy any hybrid vehicle, like the Honda City hybrid, you will get only a 50% exemption on road tax or registration. Because the Delhi government wants to make Delhi a complete EV Delhi by 2030. Meaning, petrol vehicles should not run there at all.
And if you scrap a truck, you will get a benefit of 500 to 1 lakh. If you have any old two-wheeler, petrol BS4 model, and you scrap it, you will get a benefit of up to 10,000. If you scrap a car, you will get a benefit of up to 1 lakh, or 500. And that too only at authorized scrapping centers. It's not that you can scrap it from anywhere. You will get the price of iron, and you will also see some benefits.
So, for now, our state should also do something because here the prices are skyrocketing, and a common person cannot even think of buying an EV now because the prices have become so high. The ex-showroom price is kept low, but showroom owners loot in many ways.
By the way, today is June 30. I will bring you EV sales data for June 26. So, subscribe to the channel and like this video as much as possible so that everyone can know, and this EV policy also came on June 30. It will be implemented from tomorrow. See you in the next video. Thanks for watching.
