When we're looking at the houses, we're evaluating how it is that we're being personally touched. And that's going to be reflected back and forth between the two of us. There's a myth that only one person feels it. The both of us are interacting. It's mainly the house person that's going to receive the, um, you want to say, the weight of the interaction. But how they're receiving that is going to be reflected back to the planet person. So it's an interaction between the two of us.
So, so let's start with the sun and talk about how the sun interacts with us. I'm sorry, guys, if you didn't get the memo until late. People are coming into the class. My brother didn't send me the entire roster, so I'm sure I'll be getting that after the fact. Um, so we are talking about the sun in the houses today. We're talking about the houses and how the planet, uh, person affects the house person throughout this entire series. And it's a pretty important thing to look at because it tells us a lot about what areas of life we're going to be triggered in, or, you know, have growth in, or just where are, where is somebody fiddling with us, where is somebody interacting with us. So it gives us another idea of what kind of compatibility we might be able to look, look at there.
So with the sun in synestry, the sun is very much responsible for the, um, appraisal of values and how someone is going to fit in to our, um, how they're going to fit into our own life. So we look at their qualities, we look at, um, the match of identities and solar power. And so there's very much, uh, a filter that we appraise people through, and that's going to be described by our own sign of the sun. So some people that we will appraise through the qualities of our own sun's appreciation and, um, uh, how we think ourselves up, they're gonna seem to fit. They're going to seem a natural sort of, uh, fit. And some people that we appraise will, uh, seem to other, to other, to not like us too much, like an other rather than a brother, you could say.
So, um, I guess it's, we could say that it's one of the, the actions within ourselves or the, the needs are filters within ourselves that has a lot to do with attraction and chemistry, and often that even being able to get off the ground. So it's that initial appraisal of, are you, uh, enough like me? And if not, is that some kind of exotic attraction I might want to explore this weird difference?
So when we have the sun coming into someone's first house, there is a lot of confidence that is given, especially to the house person. The house person is very much the receiver of the qualities of what the sun means, which is, uh, fun and enjoyment and pleasure and, um, expression and vitality. So the house person is very much approved of by the sun person. This is one of the things that's going to help us make a, a positive assessment of who the house person is. So, um, there's a lot of sameness or the feeling that we are mates, that we have commonalities between the two of us. And you see it a lot in, uh, romantic relationships. We, we tend to choose people quite often that we'll have the sun in our first house. Venus too. The first house is disproportionately common in romantic relationships. So it makes us feel good. And it, if we feel that we're approved of, if we feel that somebody, you know, holds us in high regard, that makes us feel good. That can be uplifting. So it's a self-esteem enhancing, confidence enhancing overlay to have. And it's going to help a great deal if we say have the difficult aspects, say from the sun person, Saturn to the other person's, you know, the house person's inner planets. We can have some things going on. We're in some avenues of the relationship, we're not going to be completely approving of each other. But this overlay is going to help a great deal because we may be, you know, nitpicky over here, a disapprove over here when it comes to these actions, you know, with the planets, hard aspects are. But there can be more of a general approval of who the, how the first house person is, more as a whole. So it's going to help to add some approval where we may have some disapproval in a relationship.
So, um, it's very good. It's, uh, it's a natural affinity, if you think about it, because the sun is a fire planet. It's coming into what is naturally a fire house. This is a trine house to the sun. So it's going to be easy to have the two things combine. And you do see it a lot because there's, there's a, like a more instant, a positive appraisal that comes with this particular overlay. So it opens the door fairly quickly to relationship. If right off the bat, we have that idea that, hey, you know what, you're not bad, it can have things, you know, really start to fire up. So, um, there's a naturalness when it comes to being together and developing something together. And, uh, I, I had this with my best friend. How's actually the best relationship I've ever had was this relationship I had with this best friend from sixth to seventh and eighth grade, uh, because it was just filled with trust and intimacy and connection. And, um, and we had a lot of first house overlays between the two of us. And I remember that the first time we met each other, we just felt like, you know what, there's something here. And there, we just have so much in common. It's just so easy to be together. And if you have one or two charts where they can find them more awkward to interact with each other, or, or just with anybody, if they have more social issues, this will make it much, much easier to just feel that there's a general approval that can take a lot of the, the difficulties out of relating to somebody.
Debbie, did you have something? Yeah, hi. I had a question. I hope I'm, I'm not on mute. No, no, I hear you. Yes. Okay, great. So, um, so I guess I'm trying to understand, um, so if, um, so for example, I have, you know, Pisces rising, but my first house is predominantly Aries. So would that mean that anybody in the sign of Aries is going to be in my first house? I'm going to have that affinity with anybody in Aries? It's going to be more so if it is in the sign of your ascendant. That's an interesting question because that's often the case where we'll have the cusp of a house in one sign, but then a lot of the other, or some of the other contents of the house in the next sign. So what that shows is that the behavior, the style of, of what's going on, of the, the style of the behavior, which would be Aries, is working when it comes to the contents of the first house. But it works so much better. It is seamless if the planet in that first house, or whatever house, is in the same sign as the planet on the cusp. So like, if you had somebody's sun coming into your first house, and it happened to be right there in Pisces, that's more what we call of an affinity, of an ease. But the actions of Aries are pretty much gonna make up a lot of the contents and a lot of the experiences of the first house of the ascendant itself. So, um, I think that it's like super, super compatible if it's in the, if whatever in that house is in the same sign of whatever is beginning that house. But it's still compatible if not. Okay. Okay. That's interesting. So, yeah, it does. So it makes, I'm just thinking of specific people as well. So it raises two other questions. So, um, so like, uh, I have a number of Pisces friends, Pisces rising, and some are at the very end of Pisces, so their sun is in my first house. One of them in particular, that's one of my best friends. But two other best friends that are like sisters, their their Pisces sun is at the very beginning, so it's in my 12th house. But is it close to the ascendant? Is it close to the ascendant? Not necessarily. I think it's like, I'm not get 20 degrees Pisces, and so I've got one friend who's literally 29 degrees Pisces, and another two friends that are like, uh, two and five degrees Pisces. So they're kind of in the middle of the 12th house. So they're firmly in your 12th house. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, so, so, yeah, so I mean, where do you, I mean, is that Pisces affinity regardless of when you're in the 12th, or is that, is that essential regardless? There's still going to be a, yeah, a natural relationship because the style, the outlook of the ascendant and the behaviors and the goings-on of the sun are still in the same style. There's a lot of affinity there. But we have more complexity because we have sun coming into the 12th house. So there's a lot of, we could say, some basic things that are in common when it comes to outlook and behavior. But we'll get to the sun in the 12th house, and we'll talk about how that's different. Then the sun in the first house is actually quite remarkably different. So. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Those personalities are the two first women and the second last one is, is really, really different too. It's amazing. I feel like completely different people. But I wish I could say our technically. So I guess they'll actually, it can be different. Yeah. That's fine. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. What if your sun sign, what if your sun signs, um, is really incompatible then with your rising sign? That's, I mean, you've got your ascendant, the other person, yeah. Like if you've got, you know, your sign in one kind of sign, let's say you've got your sun in Aries, but you've got your Pisces and our ear rising as in Pisces. I mean, those are kind of incompatible personality types. For example, I mean, um, does that kind of get overridden by the fact that, you know, someone, you know, is in your, is in your ascendant? And am I making any sense? But I'm thinking, no, it does make sense because we do have that, well, we do have that difference of of being or behavior, but it's filling the contents of, in your case, Aries, the fir, the first house. So although the ascendant, the outlook is Pisces, a lot of the goings-on, we could say, the, the situations and the conditions are going to be more, um, Aries things because those are the planets, those are the aspects of people, those are the behaviors that you'll be experiencing, uh, in other people when they bring those planets that are in the style of Aries into your first house. So it isn't necessarily compatible, no, with how Pisces sees the world. But that's what's going on in the first house. So do you see how the two things aren't necessarily? No. Is it necessarily that we would choose people who sometimes can take up all the air in the room? But that's what happens in the first house where you're feeling very successful with somebody. That sun's of sun doesn't feel comfortable, but you know, they're in your first house and so they're okay, kind of. Mm-hmm. Experience Aries people as being very different than your Pisces outlook, how you view the world at large, how you do your persona. But they're still gonna bring that, uh, idea of approval into the area of life where you are experiencing, uh, the persona and a lot of, um, uh, I want to say, like physical appreciation and our self-esteem and and all of that. Affirmations are a big part of the first house. So waking up these differences and how we are, but still have, uh, I want to say, still have the, the, the Aries sun person in your case, being somebody that, you know, appraises you very, very positively, even though they might be annoying. Most of my favorite bosses were all men as born in Aries. And, um, so, and the interesting aspect of that is that they were very much caretakers of me at work, in my career, and they also were very positive about me. So it was nice. But I was just in a really typical Aries trait, you know, but they were like, very receptive and listening and caring and mentoring, and they had this sort of thing going on. It's really different. Okay. That's interesting. Yeah. Naturalness there. How that works. Oh, I'm sorry, Debbie. I apologize. I just said thank you. Oh, sorry about that. Okay. Yeah. I just wanted to ask you again because I kind of missed it when you said it, um, is it, so this, if there's some, if somebody's sun is in the first house, is it the house person who feels approved of? Is it the house person who feels it more? Yes, it is the sun person who does the approving. Is the sun person who does the reaching out and assessing through the lens of their sun, which is who they are and how their own self-confidence behaves and acts and how they think themselves up, um, the lens of their own identity. I'll look at the, the first house person through that. It's like, oh, I like what I see here. And so they'll communicate that to the house person, and then it, you know, builds that sense of, of confidence and, um, self-esteem. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. You said you see Venus in the first house as well, very commonly. Because I have that with somebody, and I'm wondering which is more sort of, which is more of the stronger attraction, the sun in your for in your first house or Venus in the first house near the near the ascendant? I say, if I have to say one is more in weightier, important than the other, I would say the sun because that's one of our personal, personal planets, sun or moon. And, you know, is, is going to be much more, um, of a connection than any of the planets outside of that. But Venus in the first house is also awesome and nothing to sneeze at. So that is going to bring a lot of appreciation for each other, and, uh, especially physical appreciation. Okay. All right. You got it. Um, I was just wondering, is it, um, can it be more of a, um, superficial thing if you don't have, um, you know, a lot of binding aspects? Like, is it something, you know, where I suppose you could compare it to maybe Uranus, where it's more of like an instant attraction? Right, right. Is it a superficial thing? No, not generally. Sun in the fifth, yes, we'll talk about that when we get to sun fifth house. That's definitely something that can happen. But the sun in the first is just found so disproportionately often in functioning relationships, and sometimes non-functioning relationships because it can open the door to things that later on, when they found out, we may find find out that there isn't as much compatibility as we initially, yeah, obsessed that there was. But it generally isn't something that is, is something that leads to just more superficial relationships. But I think it can open the door to just more interaction in general, where we're kind of missing the mark more because there's just more, yeah. Why? Yeah, because that was that was my experience when, but first of all, I mean, I absolutely loved it as the house person. It was like, you know, feeling like I was on cloud nine where where the person's entire stellium was in my first house. That's what I felt like. But like we, but we were just not compatible at all. The arguments were because obviously he was all Aries in his chart, so he was very fiery, too fiery for me. But it was nice while it lasted. Yeah. Yeah. The planet person would definitely have a lot of good things to to think and say. But, uh, yeah, then we would have to take into account what are the actual interactions and the behaviors that are happening. Those are the aspects that are going on there. So, yeah. Um, yeah, it's important to look at it all together because it's showing you different layers of interaction because the houses and house positions are going to help. But we're still going to have or hurt. We're still going to have goings-on when it comes to how we trigger each other when it comes to aspects. So, so yeah, this one actually just leads to a lot of comfort, non-stressful, uh, interaction, approval. Um, and I think it helps both people's self-confidence. It helps both people to feel like, um, they can stand a little bit taller in each other's presence because they are going to be judged. So it's good stuff. Should we talk about the sun in the second? Are you ready for that? Okay. It doesn't look we have any questions coming up. All right.
So the second house is by nature a material place of life. It's where we deal with, uh, you know, our finances and money and, uh, our stuff. And when we have the sun coming into someone's second house, there's a lot of good things that can come from this. It can be, is something where the second house person can feel that a lot of what they've gained, a lot of their talents, uh, what they have to offer, uh, because the second house is a lot of how we make our money. I'm sorry, my mother, how we make our money. Um, so when the sun comes into the second house, there can be quite a lot of approval from the sun person when it comes to the second house goings-on. What, what are the talents and skills? What is it that some, someone have to leverage in order to, uh, say, to get things or achieve more comfort? So there's, um, uh, a way that we can become very beneficial to each other. And the sun person generally sees the second house person as being potentially very beneficial to them as the sun person, seeing them, uh, you know, as a source of, um, either comfort or support, or someone who could take care of them. So we have to be careful in some cases because if we have the sun person who is, you know, naturally very selfish or, um, you know, is prone to maybe taking more than their fair share, it, it can result in the sun person using the second house person. They can see them as kind of a means to an end that isn't, isn't the way it typically is. But if we have, uh, selfish behaviors in the sun person, this could be something that can help to bring that out, or it can help to create the climate where there's those behaviors or proclivities in their own personality may come out. So, um, you can see this type of overlay in relationships where, like, the guy doesn't work and the woman does, and she really does want him to work. So there can be a, like, a material dependency or even a, you know, just kind of a mooching quality that can happen between two people. So we have to be careful about, um, how much, uh, I want to say, how much the second house person might be used for material needs or material gain. But this can be in a healthy relationship, this can be a very erotic and sensual overlay because the sun person can find the second house person can be to be quite beautiful, to have a lot of the sensual and physical qualities that they find to be very much worthy of their approval. So there can be some good things that can come from this position, absolutely. Um, you just have to look at everything that is there to see if this might be something that is adding, um, to some behaviors that may not be the loveliest.
Does anybody have any questions about the sun in the second house? Tasker, uh, I was just wondering, what, what might you find in the sun person's natal chart that might suggest to you that they would, are they, they might use the house person? Well, you would be looking for more, um, more selfish characteristics. You know, are they, they, are they, do they have usury kind of behaviors going on? Do we have maybe Venus aspects to Pluto? Or maybe we can, uh, and that's not everybody that that's gonna do that, but it is something where, [Music] you know, if we have it within us to take or keep, this can be something that can bring that out. Um, especially if the sun person is partnered with a second house person that is more prone to giving or has some boundary issues, then we can have, um, the possibility as, you know, of things just becoming more material rather than based on love. Right. So we have to look at what, what kind of support is it that we're really seeking. Thank you. So, yeah, I would look at, do we have, you know, more of a selfish person and more of a giving person? Yeah. And that's gonna be oftentimes the conditions for what'll bring this out. But it can be really good for a lot of people. It, it does contribute to more material goals between the two, like a lot of the, the ideas about, you know, what we'll do together, or some of the vitality of the relationship can be more about, um, you know, getting a really nice house, or living in a, a place that materially appeals to both people. Um, so we can have more material objectives form between the two of us. But, uh, it's not something that's bad in itself. It can just be more like, that's, uh, something that the relationship is gonna help to bring into our life. It's gonna bring more comfort and, you know, advantage when it comes to money and stuff. So thank you. Yeah. All right.
Should we talk about sun in the third? Sun of the third is a very comfortable position. The sun person finds it very easy to be with and communicate with the third house person. So it contributes to a lot of casual enjoyment, enjoyment of everyday life, feeling comfortable doing just about any mundane thing together. So we like to hang around the house together. There's more harmony when it comes to the little things that we'll do. Communication is greatly enhanced by someone's sun being in the third house. So there's a lot of, um, [Music] I, you know, like relaxed, uh, daily contact between the two of us. So there's quite a lot of approval that the sun person has of the third house person. This is going to be something where we'll find, uh, you know, as the sun, we get to be ourselves, we get to shine any which way we'd like to shine. So there's a really relaxed, um, and kind of a relaxed, rewarding interaction between the two people. Uh, this sun person often does see the third house person as being correct in how they go about things, or having a correct opinion, or, you know, having a good amount of common sense. Mercury things, third house things. They'll find that to be something that is in tune with them as the sun person, you know, how they think themselves up, their idea of who I am and my identity. So there can be a strong approval of just how the third house person orders and, uh, defines their life and how they solve problems. Um, we could just see them as having a lot of, a lot of sense. So, uh, that can be very helpful if the sun person is themselves nonsensical or a hard time with, uh, with their own common sense. At least they see the third house person, even if the third house person doesn't really have any common sense, at least the sun person sees the third house person as having more common sense than they do. So this could be helpful, um, if we need a little help in that area there. So, uh, yeah, it helps with, um, enjoying close contact in just everyday life and being happy to, you know, get up and make breakfast together. So it's not the most romantic linkage, but it definitely will help if you're in a roommate situation. Oh, god, will it ever help? Or between siblings, this can help too, because we'll find that it cuts back on the petty things that there are to argue about. So it can, um, you know, just make things more friendly between the two of us.
Does anybody have any questions about sun in the third? It's not a very complex position, really. I have had this, and it does seem to, I've had someone's sun in my third a few times, and it does say that the sun person was stimulated to talk to communicate themselves, and it encourages us, you know, as a third house person to come out and share and talk. So a good amount of conversation can come from that. So we talk about sun in the fourth house. Yes. Debbie, did you have a question? Oh, I was just gonna say my best friend had her sun in my third house, and, um, and yeah, so, you know, and of course the communications and all of that. And I just had a huge respect for her intelligence, being a smarter person and a harder working person than me. And I guess I was also thinking that at some point, though, I ended up disapproving of of a decision she made, and it ended, ending the friendship, which is amazing. We've been friends since fourth grade. So I just kind of, but I was thinking, oh no, wait. So I don't know where my sun landed in her chart, right? So that's what that was. And, um, I was that, you know, on the, on the third house person here. So, so I guess I need to figure out where her, where her charts are or something like that. But yeah, yeah, but yeah, I totally hear that. We have a lot of great times. Yeah. Yeah. We like each other strongly with the sun in a third. Yeah. You guys obviously had some, some deeper things going on, it sounds like. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was a, it was a really, a big deal thing. But I mean, we've been, we just hit it off from like the first day of fourth grade, and that continued all for a long time. Oh, wow. That's wonderful. That's wonderful. We just make that connection right off the bat. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Some people you just go, boom. Was very true. So, are we ready for sun in the fourth house? All right.
So we find the sun person to be familiar to us when someone's sun comes into our fourth house. Because this is where we, as the house person, experience intimacy and family, in the past, what's familiar, experiences that are going to evoke, you know, family and that intimate primary environment. So when someone's sun comes into our fourth house, oftentimes we don't even understand or, you know, consciously associate them with, you know, the past or with family, but that is what the feeling is. Is there's something very familiar here. So it does, uh, encourage the fourth house person to trust, to, uh, [Music] to allow the sun person in, to have that, um, that that interaction there. And the sun person does feel a kinship themself. They feel a, um, bond of familiarity themself with the fourth house person. But, um, this is something that very much, uh, affects the house person, the fourth house person, because there is this feeling of, uh, having some kind of, oftentimes, uh, a, a parent, a parent's influence, or in a parent's, uh, you know, threads of who the parent was in, you know, who our mate is, or whoever it is with their sun coming into our fourth house. So, um, it, it does contribute to a feeling of, um, of, let's say, of, uh, commonality, having an unexplainable kind of familiarity with each other. So it can often result in the sun person taking on a type of parental role in the relationship. And that doesn't mean that it's going to get out of hand. It's something that's very, very minor with the sun in the fourth house. But because the sun person has a lot of the qualities or the perceived qualities of the parent, they just kind of fall into this natural familiar role with the house person. So, uh, there's a lot of belonging that can come from it. And, uh, you feeling that there's a natural, um, sort of natural path to having some kind of domestic relationship with each other. So it could be somewhat grounding.
Any questions about the sun? Kate and, okay, this is going a little bit off topic, but I, I have this feeling with somebody, but it's from a different aspect, and I want to ask you, is, am I feeling it correctly? Um, I, I have moon conjunct somebody's south node, and I feel like I feel in a very, like a very benevolent mother to this person. Is that, is that make sense to you? Yes, it does. Yes, it does. It does. Moon and south node have a lot in common. Uh, the south node is very much about the recycling of what we've already been through. The moon is very much a record, a record of the past. It's a recording device of the past. So I would say the south node is more encompassing when it comes to, you know, the experiences, and the moon is more tribal. But they both have a lot of the same action. So with the moon at the south node, it's an incredibly comfortable and familiar position. And, um, it doesn't, you know, promote growth. But then I don't think that that matters because we'll have growth going on in other parts of the relationship. But this is something that we just feel like, um, you know, our own comfort zone is very much shared by the other person. So. Okay. Thanks. Yeah. Tosca, did you have something? Sorry. Yeah. Uh, I'm not sure if it's actually even a question. Um, it's just that I don't know if, um, this is a thing, but I've noticed in synestries where they have, like, fourth house contacts, that they also, um, funnily enough, like what Kate said, have a lot of, typically will have south node contacts as well. Is that a thing or or no, from what you've seen? Um, I don't know. I don't know that I have looked for that, and it's not something I've seen in itself that one always or mostly comes with the other. But, uh, yeah, so I don't think I can offer an opinion about that. But, well, do you think it's still, it's still possible? I think you just answered it anyway. But that even if you have fourth house contacts, you can still have other elements in the relationship that are conducive to growth? Oh, sure. Yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. Um, yeah, and I think that there's something to be said for just being really comfortable with each other in some ways. I don't think that we have to be doing growth at all ends. Yeah, because that can be really exhausting sometimes. It's nice to just enjoy, you know, a habit together and have. Would you say that, um, you would find this, um, overlay in a lot of long-term relationships? The sun in the fourth house is not uncommon. Yeah, it's not uncommon. I would say I see the sun in the first house again, disproportionately often. But the sun in the fourth is not uncommon, and it's a fine overlay to have. I think that it does contribute to wanting to have some kind of domestic relationships, kind of living relationship with each other. Right. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. Anybody else have any questions about sun in the fourth? Okay.
Let's talk about sun in the fifth. So this is an exciting place for the sun to be. And we have to look at, do we have substance in the relationship, otherwise, when we have the sun coming into the fifth house? Because if we're lacking substance, meaning if we don't have a lot going on, uh, if we don't have good things, um, and some, some deeper things, some real genuine appreciation of each other in other areas, then this can lead to a superficial, uh, interaction between the two people. We can get kind of carried away in the beginning because the sun person very much sees the house person as quite beautiful, glamorous, um, [Music] we find glamour with the fifth house and Leo and, and the sun. So we're pleased to be together, and then there's a lot of just shared pleasure. So if we do have substance in the relationship, we have otherwise good things going on, and we have the sun coming into the fifth house, it can bring a lot of shared enjoyment of things, a lot of shared, you know, definitions of what is pleasurable, how, what do we want to do together? Um, we want to have fun together when the sun comes into the fifth house. So we'll, you know, go hiking together, and go traveling together, and, uh, it, it just makes it more likely that we are going to enjoy our time together rather than see that as a chore or, you know, something we're only doing, only doing because, you know, we agreed to 25 years ago and we're just keeping up our end of the deal. It's not so much with sun in the fifth house. We genuinely, genuinely find the other person to be stimulating and a lot of fun. So this is nice to have between siblings. You'll see this with siblings who like each other, who, you know, have a best friend quality, and I, you know, choose to do things together. That would not be my children, and I actually have a really difficult aspect in their composite chart. We're working on it. They're young adults right now, so they're still gaining perspective, and there's only the two of them, so it's a jewel situation right now. Do your, um, do your children like have a, um, you know, do they, do they believe in what you do? Do they like have an understanding of it? Uh-huh. Yeah. Oh, that's really interesting. Yeah. Yeah. My daughter was just the other day, she texted me and said, if I ever did astrology, I think I would want to do forensic astrology. [Laughter] Conversation about that. Yes. I want that's not my specialty. You'll have to find somebody else to teach you. Now, that is really nice though, that they can share that with you. Yeah. Yeah. They, they get it. Um, my son is, I wouldn't say is particularly interested, but he's definitely open. So yeah, that is great. Yeah. It's nice to, yeah, have approval. Exactly what we're talking about. Approval. Yeah. So, uh, sun in the sixth house. Are we ready for that? That bit of practicality.
So with the sun in the sixth house, we, as the sun person, see the sixth house person as somebody who can be of help to us, who's beneficial. Uh, so there can be quite a lot of approval when it comes to the qualities, the abilities, the skills of the sixth house person. Now, we're not assessing them for how beautiful or glamorous or how much pleasure they bring us, like we do with the sun in the fifth house. When we're assessing them for, um, you know, how can they help us? How can they be of service to us? What are their serviceable qualities? It's not a terribly romantic placement, but there's a lot of, you know, appreciation for what someone can practically accomplish and what they can do. And that's nice to, you know, have somebody acknowledge our sewing, or how we keep house, or how we organize, or how we take care of them, because the sun person sees the sixth house person as potentially being very beneficial and helpful. So there's a large approval of, what can you do for me? Because that's what we do for people in the sixth house. That's the goings-on there. So, um, it is something that they can make, um, you know, working on chores together, um, how to, uh, you know, improve things. You can make those kinds of decisions easier, much easier. Even with Mars coming into the sixth house, that's an awesome one, actually. The sun in the sixth house is okay. If we have a very sensitive, passive sixth house person, this can put the, uh, the sun in a position where they often get their own way, where they often are able to, you could say, get over on the sixth house person, because we want to do the right thing in the sixth house. We are, uh, you know, concerned with getting it right. And so if we have a sixth house person that it can be a bit too giving anyway, and they're they're somewhat passive, um, if they have a lot of expectations or judgments about themselves, the sun person can often take advantage of that. So we want to see what else is going on, especially if you want to look at the qualities of the, the sixth house person was going on in their natal chart in the larger scope. Um, so, yeah, the sun house person can be some, sometimes too pushy, and, uh, sometimes too tanky as well, if the sun is in a sixth. So we have to be careful about, um, I do have a mismatch of give and take in other areas of the relationship because that can leave the sixth house person feeling very, very depleted, and it can also erode the sixth house person's confidence and self-esteem. We can feel used. So, um, that was funny. Uh, that actually reminds me of something I was reflecting on today. I'm not sure why it popped into my head, but it's a really good example of what can happen. But I was thinking about this friend I had in college, and she was a little bit older than me. She was doing college a little bit later, and she had this boyfriend who was quite a bit younger, and like, just turned 21. And she was in her later 20s. And the day that he graduated with his four-year degree, so he could be employable, the day he graduated, he broke up with her. With my friend. And I have a worse story than that, actually, when it comes to that. But yeah, he, he broke up with her. And she was like, you know what, the hell, I feel like I feel used. I feel used because, you know, I paid all the bills so he could go to school. I provided everything, you know, for these years he was with me so that, you know, he could study and get his degree. And I thought it would be a reciprocal thing, you know, he would graduate and then, you know, we would get a house. And so she just felt like she had poured all this time and money and energy into a black hole because she ended, you know, being used. She really was used. So, um, yeah, I remember she said to me, I just feel like I provided this cushy lifestyle and he just soaked it up and then left me. And that's the kind of behavior that we could see with the sun in the sixth house. Um, even more story, I'll just tell it really quick. Just tell it really quick. My aunt was married to this guy, and she put him through medical school. She put him through medical school. She financed the whole thing. She worked. She, she made it happen for him. The day he graduated, he divorced her. The day he graduated. Yeah. So. Wow. That's cold. That's really, really bad. I work for the gal whose husband did that through law school, you know, so she thought, oh, we're gonna have this great life, you know, lawyer your aunt. But I mean, I don't think they divorced like the day graduate. He wasn't that obvious about it. It was happening. Yeah. Oh, boy. Yeah. Well, I want to be careful about those sixth house contacts.
Kate, I think you had a question, and then Tosca had a question. Uh, yeah, I wanted to ask, I've got, um, sun in somebody's sixth house, but it's, and it, but my Venus, I, my Venus is conjunct with five degrees to my sun, and then it's the Venus is conjunct my descendant, and I think that that my Venus is conjunct their descendant. Does that change? Does that change? Yeah, yeah, that's gonna be more of a seventh house interpretation that we're gonna be looking at. I put planets that are in the sixth, but even within five or six or seven degrees of the seventh house, I see them more as a seventh house thing. There'll still be some amount of of operation in the sixth, but a lot of, I mean, if that planet is in the sign of the seventh house, a lot of the interaction is going to be about the descendant. So. Okay. So if my Venus is near, or my Venus and sun is near their descendant, it's going to be more of a seventh house thing, though? Yeah, well, yeah, there's somebody, some amount of sixth house stuff that will go on. I see it as a cuspy thing, but there's going to be much more in involvement with the shadow self. And can I just tell you, um, I've got, so I've got sun and conjunct, you know, a wide arc of five degrees conjunct Venus in my sixth house, and the last three guys who have sort of been drawn into my web in a way, or have I've met them all at work, you know, it keeps happening at work. Yeah. Yeah. Co-workers. Yeah. So it's the same coming up again and again. And can I just ask, if somebody then moves away from my working environment, does it mean that seventh house stuff is going to be less activated, do you think? Moves away from the? No, no. It's more like initial, you know, where we meet people, or where, uh, you can say, uh, where interaction is. But I wouldn't say that it would, it would go away or, um, no. Okay. Thanks. Anybody else have anything? Oh, Tosca, that's right. But, uh, I just wanted to ask, is this, um, is this potentially a danger? No matter what planet falls into somebody's sixth house, it can be. We do have to be careful because this is where we can be selfless and, um, uh, you have to be careful about what we're giving up. So, yeah, I think it's something that we do have to pay attention to, regardless, coming into that. Okay. Thank you. Anybody else have anything? Oh, I just wanted to confirm again, just to kind of throw up in my own head, that, um, it doesn't really matter what sign it could be, you know, if there's two signs in the sixth house, it doesn't really matter which sign they're in, it's just that they're in the house, right? So, and it looks like it's a sign that's on the sixth house cusp is, I don't know, whatever, I will just pick one, Taurus, or something. It's, if it's, if the planet is in the sixth house in Taurus, that's strong. But if it's in the fifth house, then Taurus, it's doing more fifth house things than sixth house things. Yeah. It's not doing it from the top. Yeah. It's not operating in the sixth house. It's operating right in the fifth house in the style of Taurus. Okay. Yeah. Okay. I just wanted to confirm, so I get, because, you know, it can be kind of funny because some houses, you know, are like, there's two, there's two, the same sign is on two adjacent. Yes, they can be confused. I think a lot of people appreciate whole signs because it makes everything more simple in that respect. Tosca, sorry, sorry, Joel. So, uh, so if it's two different signs, then it's not exactly the sixth house or any house. There's a different flavor to it, is that correct? Well, let's just say, um, let's just say that somebody's sixth house begins in Taurus, and say it starts, it starts halfway through Taurus. So then the seventh house would start, say, halfway through Gemini. Yes. So half of the sixth house is gonna be Gemini. Yeah. Right. So that's going to be some of the describing some of the types of experiences, people that will be happening there. But there's also Taurus things that are going on there. And it's mainly going to be Taurus things because that's the ruler of that house. Yeah. So you could look at it like, this is the main thing that's going on in there. But that's not all that's going on in there. There's also a certain amount of other experiences that are happening. So if you happen to have, and that's the way it is for most people, most of us have, um, houses where some of the next sign is operating in there. Some of us, you know, a few of us have houses where, you know, we're born at like zero degrees, and you happen to have everything in that particular area of life, and boy, does that make it ever more simple to interpret. But that's me. Most of us are gonna have, um, you know, the bulk of things being described by what is ruling that particular house, which is the sign on the cusp. But we can also have other people's behaviors coming into the sign that's taking up some space in that house. So. So does that mean potentially, if, um, if somebody, you know, has planets that are mainly in the sign of your fifth house, but a little bit
of your six house. If they come into your fifth house, they'll also have properties of the sixth house. They will be operating in a way that we could say is compatible with the goings-on within the sixth house, compatible with the goings-on. Okay, it doesn't mean that they'll be operating in the sixth house, though. So maybe it doesn't mean much because it's like, um, uh, even though there's a harmony with the person's, you know, behavior when it comes to, say, we're married to a, say, we're married to a sports guy, and, um, he loves sports, and he's all sporty, and he loves nutrition and stuff. And, and say we're a sports girl, and we would, you know, love for him to interact with our, uh, our diet and promoting us and our wellness and our health and stuff. Yeah, because that's who he is and how he is. Yay! It's so compatible with how I want and am over here. But he isn't necessarily interacting with sixth house things, right? Or doing anything within that area of life. So it's like, yeah, I'm compatible with this, but there's not necessarily anything happening, right? So, yeah, it makes sense. I, I see what you're saying. Yeah. Okay. Any other questions about sun and sixth? Okay, let's look at sun and seventh. So pretty much any planet that comes into the seventh house, especially if it's in the sign of the descendant, especially if it's in the sign of the descendant, is going to be something that we will find to be very attractive as the house person. We will find that to be a natural fit for our idea of partnership and others. So when the sun comes into our seventh house, we see the sun person having the behaviors and qualities that, sorry, they got a little mosquito in here, having the behaviors and qualities that we find that we would like to see and that we've always wanted to see in a partner or in another person. So this is great for friends. It's great for partnership. It's, it's great for any kind of relationship that you would want because there's this feeling that, oh, how you are is what I've been looking for, or how you are is something that makes me feel that there's a wholeness here when I deal with you, when I'm with you. So, um, there's a natural affinity for how I want to partner as the house person and how you and who you are as the sun person. The sun person also approves of the house person's, uh, relationship overtures, the way that the house person does relationship, how they interact with relationship. That's something that the sun person sees as right, correct, or, you know, of course, it would be that way. So, um, there's a high amount of, uh, harmonious pairing that happens with the sun in the seventh house. And pretty much any planet in the seventh house is gonna be like that. Not Neptune, we'll talk about that when we get to that. But pretty much every other planet is great to have in the seventh house. Um, so there's a lot of, uh, more instantaneous liking each other, and it goes beyond like, often pretty quickly. There's an approval of what it is to partner with somebody. So it can't bring up those ideas in the sun person of, oh, this is somebody with which I could really build a relationship with, and it can open that door, um, pretty quickly, as it does in the first house as well, which is the opposite to the seventh. Tasker, I was just wondering, so, um, if one of, if somebody's planets goes into somebody's sixth house, but they're in the sign of the person's descendant, then, um, so do you, do you, would you use both interpretations for six and seven? Yes, we're gonna have the sixth house, um, approval. You know, I approve of how you do your health and live your life and manage things, and I think you're going to be really helpful to me too. But there's going to be a lot of interaction with the relationship of, you know, with relationship when it comes to the house person, a lot of that, because the way they do relationship is in the style of that sign that's encompassing some of the sixth. So if it's even, you know, within, gosh, 10 degrees of the descendant, I see it more more descendanty than in the sixth house, still operating in the sixth. But there's also going to be this idea that, hey, you're a natural person that I could partner with. Hey, it feels naturally like whole to be with you. So, yeah, that is very interesting, very interesting. Anybody else have any questions or comments about sun in the seventh? I'm going to be very naughty, um, Jewel, and ask your question. Yes, I just want to ask you about composite moon in the seventh. Oh, yeah. Uh, let's see. Composite moon in the seventh. Yeah. Um, that's not a bad place to have it. The mutual feeling of, uh, intimacy and shared responses, what's familiar that's happening in the context of how we relate to each other, how we value the relationship, that we think about the relationship. So oftentimes, the comfort zone for the two people is being in that relationship itself. So, um, so what are the difficult places for the composite moon? Really, the sixth, the eighth, the twelfth. Not the seventh. I would say that the seventh is a fine place to have it, um, because how the two people are going about their combined need for intimacy is coming through the vehicle of the relationship. It's the relationship itself that serves that. It's not like work that we do together in the sixth, or how we romance each other in the fifth, or, um, how we psychologically intertwine in the eighth. So in the seventh house, uh, it's a pretty simple place for a composite moon to be, in my opinion. Okay, so that's all I wanted to ask. Sorry for, I'm, I'm very naughty asking you questions. That's okay. That's all right. We've got, I don't think we're going to go over time too much tonight. All right, so harmony, um, we can suffer from not being able to separate ourselves when we have planets coming into the composite seventh house. It's not really so much a thing with a planet coming into a sinister seventh house, um, [Music] but, yeah, there's a natural affinity for each other with that one. Should we talk about sun in the eighth house? Yes. Okay, we should have like some kind of, uh, Jaws or shark music. I need to, I need to get some sound effects here. Um, so sun in the eighth house. The eighth house is by nature a dark place. It is what is hidden from us. Um, the seventh house is as well, something, but it's, it's what we're projecting out. The eighth house is like what we're keeping in or suppressing down. So it's like our basement, the eighth house. It's what we stuff everything into, and we shut off the light. The twelfth house is the attic. It's a little bit different, but they're both spooky, dark places. So when we have somebody coming down into our basement, what they're doing with it, with the sun, is it's like they're shining a light in the places that are hidden, or the parts of ourselves that are yet unhealed, or, uh, even unknown to us. So we can achieve an enormous amount of insight when someone's sun comes into our eighth house. It isn't going to be a comfortable process of achieving that insight, however, because it's going to come through being triggered, through acting irrationally, through, you know, having the sun person point out or bring up certain things in our basement. So that's going to be behaviors, feelings, uh, sides of ourselves that we didn't even know that we had. So we can have qualities come out that are very specific to what the sun person brought out in us, and there can be a great amount of self-discovery. Uh, we don't tend to get there easily, and, um, oftentimes we're very enigmatically drawn to each other with the sun coming into the eighth house. The sun person wants to know what's there. There's a mystery that is very intriguing to the sun person. And as the eighth house person, we can have this, this knowing in the way back of our mind that we are going to be changed, we are going to be altered in some way by the interaction with the sun person. So it's extremely consequential for the house person. And I see this a lot in relationships where the house person is just completely overwhelmed by the influence of the sun, or by, by who the sun person is. It can be something that they just, um, they don't have a lot to compare it to. So it can feel a lot like a heavy Plutonian connection that we have, you know, something that is just extraordinary in the intensity that it can bring up in us. So there's a, a lot of intrigue when it comes to sun eighth house stuff. I have seen a disproportionate amount of eighth house people be drawn to some people who have exactly the abusive characteristics that the eighth house person needs to grow out of or leave behind. It can be an invitation to, uh, for more drama, for more difficulty between the two of us. Uh, I see sun in the eighth house many times. There's this phenomenon that that I see really, really often in my practice where I'll have a, I'll see a female client, a woman who's been married to a man for quite a long time, or been with a man who's had some very selfish and narcissistic qualities, and she herself is, you know, an empath and more sensitive. And she'll finally get out of the relationship, and within weeks to months, someone with their sun in their eighth house shows up, and the woman is just totally blown away, didn't expect this, was never looking for it. Um, it's just, you know, showed up, and there's all these feelings and this raw intensity, and she's really sure that, you know, this is, you know, the right thing. And it has always turned out in every case so far I've seen this pattern that the guy is basically the same guy as the husband. There's, there's nothing new here. And so I think what it is, is it's like a psychological test that we go through. It's like, oh, it's like life saying, oh, you got it, huh? Did you, did you really get it? Here you go. Let's see if you really passed the test. Because I think a lot of times we can think we've grown. It's like we can think we've given up chocolate eclairs, but when they're sitting there right before our eyes, and we open the fridge at four AM in the morning, how we really give up chocolate eclairs. So it's like a reality, maybe that's Saturn giving us the test and saying, have you really passed? And, um, and generally, you know, when women are in that state of, and it can happen to men too, that are in that situation, it's just that it's more common for women to be the empath in those relationships. Um, there's nothing that I can say at the time that she's really, really blown away by the, the interaction with this guy. She generally has to go into it and really see for herself that he has some very familiar qualities that she just extricated herself from. So it's a common thing that I see with sun in the eighth house. I think it's because the sun person is going to trigger some of our deepest psychology with that particular overlay. Kate, did you have a question or something to add? Yeah, and I wanted to ask, some composite sun in the, in the eighth, um, with the same. We'll get to that in subsequent modules. That's, that's a complex placement. Um, sun, we're both interacting in an area of life where we're trying to make some growth. There's more intensity. Um, it can contribute to like a mutual obsession between two people. It's not the easiest or often the healthiest place for the composite sun to be because it's like we both bring out those eighth house traits within each other. So it's a tiring one, I could say. Tasker, you know, when you said that the, um, it's more common that the women would be the empath in this dynamic, is that also, does that matter if the woman is the eighth house or the sun? Uh, I see it commonly when she is the house, she's the eighth house person. That's what I see over and over and over again. And it's not every time I've seen that pattern happen where the sun hasn't been in the eighth, but I just seen it overwhelmingly over and over and over again. I mean, at least 80% of the time, it's going to be there. Is it, um, is it always the sun, or is it just planets falling into it? The more planets that we have coming into the eighth house, the more that we're gonna act out that eighth house intensity and obsession and be triggered and have those visceral reactions to somebody. Um, and, you know, when you said that the, um, the eighth house person will subconsciously look for these qualities, you know, in another person who was coming into their eighth house, um, does that depend on how many eighth house issues the eighth house person has, or can somebody who is, you know, hardly Plutonian at all, could they also have these subconscious, you know, desires to have these things worked through? All of us have some amount of junk, I could say. All of us have some garbage in our basement. The more we have, the more, uh, the more Pluto that we have, um, the more potentially unhealthy and difficult and stressful the interaction is going to be between the two of us. But if we don't have a ton of stuff in our basement, we don't have a ton of Pluto issues to work out, it's going to be an infinitely easier interaction between the two of us. And it may even be that we're not as intrigued by the sun coming into our eighth house because that's not an avenue that we're going to learn through. That's not something we're psychologically prone to. Interesting. But no, I've seen people who have a lot of Pluto in there in their personalities, and when someone's planets come into their eighth, they are just salivating. It's like they are ready to go. So it's like flips this switch where it's like, you know, I have this level of feeling, and oftentimes we get addicted to that really quick, and we want to capture that because we're like, I don't want this to dissipate. I don't want to lose this or miss out on this opportunity. And so it, it creates this, uh, an ardency, ardent feelings that, um, normally we don't see. So person feel this obsession as well? It's something where the, the planet person is, because the final person wants to know what's in the basement. Yeah, they're drawn to this mystery. The house person is the one that's having their secrets and their mysteries revealed. Just a little bit more uncomfortable, actually, as being the planet person. It's easier to strip someone than it is to be stripped. So the sun person, yeah, they are drawn to it because they're interacting, uh, their solar power is interacting with the eighth house person where they are intensely mysterious. Yeah. So is it one of those ones where if the planet person also has Plutonian issues or eighth house issues or whatever, they're going to be more drawn? Yeah, more sucked in. Absolutely. Absolutely. Because we'll see that eighth house person is an obvious vehicle towards working out those Plutonian issues. Okay, that's very interesting. If we don't have a ton of Pluto, and we are the sun person, um, you know, we might still find that very fascinating and interesting. Different levels of interest can come depending on what our own proclivities are. That is really interesting. Thanks. Um, should we move on to sun in the ninth house? Are we ready for that? Yep. Okay. Sun in the ninth house is a lot of fun. These are naturally trine planets and signs to each other. Planets and houses to each other. The sun is naturally trine to the ninth house, so there's an easy interaction. There's a lot of enjoying the same types of adventures, enjoyments, culturally, or very similar, even if we come from completely different places. There's a lot of the same meanings that we'll give to things, values, hopes, and dreams. Those are going to be much, much more in common when we have the sun coming into the ninth house. As the sun person, really sees the ninth house person, a person is being right-minded, morally correct, giving the correct meanings to things. So there's a great deal of approval that can come. And, uh, the ninth house person feels that they feel that, um, you know, there's agreement about, uh, how we are and and what I believe, and, you know, I want to say the larger definitions and meanings that we give to things. So it's easy to have fun together. It's easy to get along with the sun in the ninth house. And it does contribute to the sun person getting along very, very well with the family and especially the parents of the ninth house person because they will see the sun person as having these, this cultural affinity with the ninth house, uh, son or daughter. So it very much contributes to the sun person liking the, uh, sort of the, the culture that the ninth house person comes from. And so there's a lot of friendship there that can build between the sun person and the in-laws. So we want to adventure together. We have a lot of the same perceptions, ethical standards, morality, oftentimes religion. Even if it's not the same, even if it's not in common, we're still going to have a lot of ideas and definitions that we give to the world that are going to be very much in common. So it will go a long way towards say, having, you know, say a Christian person who marries a Muslim person, a very different ideological perspective, but yet they'll also have like even bigger ideas or understandings about the world that they can agree on, and they're actually more encompassing than their differences. So it could go a long way when it comes to agreements between the two of us. That's something that we can take with. I just, not even thinking about it. Well, yeah, of course, you know, we're, we're gonna, you know, vote this way, or we're gonna think this about that. And, um, it can bring up more conversation as well. But that conversation does not tend to lead us to grow. That's the thing that's weird with sun in the ninth house because the sun person often wants to be reassured. They want to know, we both want to be reassured in our rightness of what we already believe to be true. So it isn't necessarily a position that stimulates curiosity outside of what do we already find ourselves comfortable with. And you would actually think, you know, I would think myself that this would cause two people to, you know, uh, think out of their comfort zone or explore their comfort zone. It doesn't seem to. It seems to be something that contributes to a certain amount of of comfort by reinforcing our ideas and our place within our society, within our social system, within our religious ideal. So, yeah, it's a really interesting one. Um, there's a lot of intellectual, uh, bonding that can happen with this. We can learn from each other. Um, generally, we don't learn our way out of our box, though, with this particular overlay, because that can be uncomfortable. Um, anybody have any questions about sun in the ninth house? Okay, so let's look at sun in the tenth house. Here, let me change my notebook page. So, um, we, as the sun person, when our sun comes into the planet person's, at the house person's tenth house, we, as the sun person, see the planet person as somebody who's worthy of respect, as somebody who's worthy of being looked up to, or, uh, has some kind of leadership role in our life. Humans are very status-oriented creatures. Oh my god, are we? It's something that is so built in to our social system. Really, no different than horses. I mean, it's so obvious in a herd of horses. Um, and it's so interesting because with horses, it all just comes from how, you know, they're, how do they think of themselves? Their confidence. That's what determines who leads and who follows. So I have three, I have two big quarter horses, and then I have a little pony, and the little pony is the alpha. She's the one who decides what gets done and when, and it's because she will assert her will. She will push the big horses around. She can't hurt them, but her attitude is what engenders their respect. And that's what it's like when the sun comes into the tenth house. It's just like, how and who the tenth house person is has us, as the sun person, giving them deference, or, um, seeing them as somebody who does have the leadership qualities that would cause us to want to follow. Kate, do you have a question? Uh, I just wanted to say, do you, do astrological charts for your horses? I don't usually have. I have the birth time or the birthplace, not the time. Um, the birth date for one, but I usually get the misfits. I get the horses that nobody else wants. Leo, we got because he actually doesn't, nobody knew where he came from. Actually, he was at a children's barn, he was a children's lesson horse for about 20 years, 15 years, and then he ended up with an injury. He needed a place to go, or he was going to be put down. So we just brought him here, and we've been feeding him ever since. So he's a big, he's a giant pet. He's not ridable. Um, most of the, the animals that we have, there's something wrong with them. That's why they end up here. So we call this misfit farm. But the animals that I have looked at that I do have birth charts for have been very right on when it comes to the interaction between the two of us. I just wanted to tell you something. Um, I don't know if you realize, but actually, I'm Irish, and we, so we have the National Stud in Ireland. Like, Ireland is very famous for horse flesh, very, very famous. So you've got, I've been down to the National Stud, and actually the guy who founded it, and I think you're talking about like the early 20th century, he was very innovative, and he used to do astrological charts for the racehorses he would breed. He would breed according to and be influenced by the natal charts, and he was very, very successful. So, I, I don't know, you might find stuff on the internet about it, but, but seemingly he was very, very successful in breeding really good racehorses by, by combining horse, horse breeding with astrology. So I just thought, you know, that I could see that's amazing because you would be able to see what are the personality qualities and these horses? Do they like to run? Do they like what they do? What are the health, uh, even potentials of a certain horse? So I could absolutely see how you could use that. I use my, you know, I use astrology when it comes to finances and investment and market prediction and and that kind of stuff because it has a lot to say. So I think that there's several different ways that we can apply it and have a successful outcome. Absolutely. And Tosca, you have the sun conjunct Pluto with your dog. So who rules the roost? He is incredibly challenging. He is a little devil. That's because he's trying to change you. He's only trying to psychologically manage you, Tosca. He really does. And I honestly always find myself questioning, what kind of dog is this? This is not like any other dog on the planet, you know, very fussy about everything, difficult about everything, definitely challenging. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure he's always trying to assert himself because, uh, he wants to be the Pluto in the room. So, yeah, that's funny. That is funny. Uh, yeah, you might find him to be something that leaves a marked impression on your life. That's cute. Um, so, yeah, what I was saying there before I got off on my horse tangent was, uh, humans are very status-oriented. And so as the sun person, we just kind of accept that the house person is going to lead or has the qualities that we naturally respect. So this is actually nice if we have somebody who has problems. If the sun person is someone who has problems with respect, say they have maybe their sun in a hard aspect to Pluto, or even their sun, the hard aspect of Uranus, and they don't respect just everybody. You have to earn it, and you could lose it if they think that you're full of it. So this is something that, you know, if they themselves have a very high bar for who and how they can respect people, um, this can be something that can just make it more obvious that they will give that respect. It doesn't necessarily mean that the tenth person, half person, deserves it. This is the sun person's interpretation of who the tenth house person is. Um, but, uh, I think it's something that is is helpful. It will set up more of a leader-follower kind of thing. It doesn't tend to be something that is detrimental to the sun person's, uh, self-esteem because again, it's actually easy to follow somebody that you feel deserves it. It's easy to respect somebody that you feel deserves it. So it isn't like there's a kind of a slavish thing that can come into things. It isn't like the sun coming into the sixth. So the sixth house person can turn into the unwilling slave. It's more like the seventh, the, the sun person in the tenth house is just, um, willing, willing to accept and, and, and to respect. So it's, I think it's good for both people. And it can be really obvious in relationships where the woman does most of the leading, most of the, where she wears the pants, and it's just be a natural thing for two people. Debbie, did you have something to ask? Yeah, well, I was just kind of thinking about, um, like, you know, if you're being accorded this sort of leadership respect role, and it's not really your personality, you know, and how, I think you kind of answered by saying that the, the house person kind of feels, feels good about it anyway, because I was just thinking, like, a particular friend of mine who's an extremely, um, extreme empath, she's a Pisces, and she's just in those 12th house Pisces, you could ever meet. I mean, she just, can't assert herself in any way. And I could just imagine, um, her being in that position to someone, and how would she feel about that, you know? How would she, would she be able to really receive that sort of, you're the leader, I defer to you, you're the, mm-hmm. Maybe you feel kind of nice. It's a change. I think it would feel unusual, you know, it would make us feel like, oh, you know, I have kind of this, uh, this authority I'm not used to having, or there's this deference that I'm being given that I'm not used to having. That might be, and that could happen. It could be good for somebody in that position. Aren't necessarily going to know what to do with it. They may have to like work with that for a while, get their sea legs, and, and figure out, you know, is this what it feels like to be respected? I'm not used to this. It's just, yeah, I mean, well, just difficulty on her part. I'm thinking this one friend of mine just has difficulty in making any kind of a decision, you know, it just, she always refers to whatever the other person wants. She's so busy feeling what the other person wants, but she, so whatever she wants, she's already figured out and provided that, you know, it's the answer, right? So in that situation, it's the house person that then delegates back to the sun. So they've been given the, the deference and the respect, but they're not necessarily going to pick that up and do anything with it. And so they usually put the ball back into the sun person's court. So it would look like the sun person saying, oh, so where is it that we should go tonight? What is, where should we eat? And then the house person, the tenth house person, oh, you know, I, I'm not really sure. I don't, I don't really have an opinion about that. Where would you like to go? You make the decision. And then the sun person does. But see, the house person has been given that respect and that deference and the opportunity. So do you see they may not pick it up because it doesn't mean that they have the skills to lead, but that's how the person sees them. It could be a learning opportunity. I'm thinking that the flip side of that too is, uh, like my own personal chart, all the houses align with the sign that's associated with them. So, Capricorn rules my tenth house, and I'm thinking, and my first husband was a Capricorn, and, you know, several important people in my life have been Capricorn, grandfather, um, and, um, and I don't really like Capricorn guys. Sorry, but you have to put people in the room. But I mean, there's a certain, and then I just recently have a friend, a fellow that he wants to have a relationship, and, and I, and I have that respect. It's really faith. His son is in my tenth house, and I have this natural respect for him. He's about like 20 years older than me, so I'm not really interested. And, um, at that point, and he's, um, and I think he's feeling, well, you know, I'm in my 70s, and she has a good income, and she has a good retirement, you know, I think he's thinking that way too. So I think that's a driver. But, yeah, so I'm just feeling like, hi, what does that leave me like if I'm not really fond of this kind of, for me, Capricorns are just, they don't have any real poetry about them, and they're kind of manipulative and charming and smooth and suave and calculating, is my experience of the ones I've met. So that's not to say everybody's like that, but that's my experience of men and women alike. I admire how like, uh, the princess or the duchess of whatever, they're the wife of Prince William, you know, very stylish and gracious and always well-mannered, and, and I just like, oh wow, you're impressive, but I wouldn't want to know you. Oh, that's a little job. I wouldn't want to be friends, you know? It's not really like, but boy, you're really good at that, you know? And I can really respect her for all of her skills, but, um, I feel like this leaves me in a place where maybe it's hard to find a relationship then where I'm giving that deference to somebody, and I think it'd be kind of nice to be that way, you know? Like it'd be nice to accord that to somebody like a partner. And I feel like maybe that would be, so you end up like, if there's like a personality type, then it's gonna naturally occupy your tenth house, and then you can't really get along with that personality type. Does that sort of leave a vacuum or an empty spot in your? Well, I think that's one of those, I think it's one of those things where that is what the bulk of our experiences are going to be like, and what the content is going to be in in that house. So it comes down to, they have a lot of what we need, but they may not be what we want. Yeah, the sign on the cusp is often what we're gonna get. And, you know, maybe we like eclairs, but we should be eating salad, but we get salad. So I think it's one of those things where, uh, we have to learn that we're often experiencing a certain tone or a certain side of people, or certain thread in people in a certain area of life, and there must be something in us that's attracting that. So, um, I think, and under those conditions, we have to learn to appreciate what it is that comes into our life. Yeah, even at that point. Yeah. Well, well, you know, my husband, he really had his own ideas about what kind of career I should have, and it's benefited me, you know, I've been able to, you know, buy a house and support my family. So it's not like he hasn't provided that benefit from pushing me in that direction. Boring, but it's helpful, we could say. Yeah, you know, the whole, you know, what you need versus what you want, what you want. Yeah, I think that's what you're running into there, Tosca. Yeah, I was just wondering if, uh, your planets go into somebody's tenth house, and then they conjunct their midheaven, then, um, does that, um, exacerbate those energies? Does it also make it more mutual, or, um, is it still basically the planet person that is just will have much more respect? Uh, well, it's always going to be more of a thing when it's going to be more potent when we have something right at the IC, right at the midheaven, or right at the descendant, right at the ascendant. Yeah. Um, so I would think that it's, it's just more of a thing. We'll just have more of an idea that the other person is how they should be, and that's something that we would also like to emulate. Yeah, because it's just, because from what you said way back in the start of the course about the, you know, um, planets on the angles, on the angles, yes, about how they would, um, make the angled person, the, you know, whatever angle it is, feel like that person is kind of correct in, you know, whatever it is. So I was just wondering if it was, if the planets were conjunct the midheaven, then would the midheaven, see the planet person there's somebody that is to be looked up to or respected as well? There's, well, there's just going to be a natural, yeah, I would say yes, but there's going to be a natural idea between the two of them that who the sun person is and what the midheaven person is going to become, what they're striving to become, those are very much of the same thing. A lot of similarities there, right? So, yeah, planets at the descent, especially if it's the sun or the moon, are very important to look at because, yeah, that sun person is going to be much more personalized when it comes to how does the house person interpret them. They're going to see them as, uh, it's just going to be a much more intensely personal connection for the midheaven person, right? So, yeah, that's a good point. I'm glad you asked that. That was good to point out. Thank you. Should we go on to sun in the eleventh? Yeah. All right. So, uh, this is a lot of fun. Sun in the eleventh house. We like each other. It's a very casual, open, no agenda type of thing. And, um, we generally like each other right away. We don't have to get to know a lot about each other because there is a feeling that we're being ourselves, that there's an authenticity there. So we see a lot of value in each other because it feels really good to get to be yourself, and we invite the sun person to be who they are. So they get to be whatever they want to be, and us as the eleventh house person is just going to appreciate that for whatever it is because we have no plan in the eleventh house. The eleventh house is where complete spontaneity, we don't know what's next, we don't care about what's next because if we knew what was next, we would be bored. So we're okay with mystery in the eleventh house. We've, uh, grown to, you know, in that stage of eleventh house development, we've gotten through enough in life where we really can start to appreciate that we don't know everything and start to know how much we don't know. So there's a lot of good things about having the sun in the eleventh house. It's not an intensely sexual position, but it will not keep a sexual relationship from forming by any means. This is really nice between parent and child because there's a lot of acceptance of each other just as each other is. We don't have ideas about what each other should be. So, um, the sun person assesses the, uh, the eleventh house person as someone who's of high value to them because of how they get to be natural, they get to be themselves as the sun person. So, um, there's not a lot of games or any games that go on with the sun in the eleventh house. We feel welcome, we feel confident because if we feel that there's judgments, that is something that will erode our confidence almost immediately. If we feel that there's acceptance, that whatever we do will be okay, then we're much likely more likely to try. So if we say, how the child who's being watched by their parent, and say they're going off a diving board, and they know that their parent is watching them, and that their parent, you know, has instructed them to do a certain way, and their parent wants them, you know, to do a perfect dive, and that child is going to be much more nervous and reticent and, um, have a lot more going on mentally when it comes to preparing to do that dive. And a child who is about to dive, and their parent is watching them, say, who doesn't have any expectations, they're just watching them to watch them, that child is going to have fun with that dive because they're not worried about the outcome. They're not worried about a judgment. So I think that when we are in an environment where we feel that whatever we do is going to be accepted, now that doesn't mean we get away with murder, but whatever we do is going to be accepted, we're just much more likely to feel unstressed and to feel that we want to be there. There's a high degree of choosing each other with planets in the eleventh house. Planets in the tenth sometimes are, especially Venus, Saturn, or Moon, Saturn connections. We get caught up in the commitment of things, and we can find that we're here, we're here because we said we would be. We're here because we're keeping up our end of the deal, but we don't necessarily want to be there. Stuff in the eleventh house, we're choosing it, and we would be there even if we didn't have to be there. So, um, yeah, there's a lot of appreciation about the actual qualities of each other. Okay, yeah, I was just wondering, is there the detachment and sort of like, it's kind of in the friend zone, or does it depend, or just depends what's going on in the rest of the charts? No, this does not seem to be something that shows up that that determines that it's going to be a friendship or that's the limits of it. It will not keep a sexual relationship from forming, and I think it actually opens the door to that forming better and more quickly and even wider because we feel that we're comfortable, we like each other, we're allowed to ask for a date and, to express ourselves. So no, it is not something that will keep us in the friend zone alone, but it will keep us being friends even if it progresses to a romantic relationship. Would there tend to be some sort of element of the unconventional? Not necessarily. No, this doesn't inspire that, not in itself. Okay, thanks. Tasker, I'm just wondering, with these houses, if you naturally have got planets in the eleventh house or planets in the tenth house, are you going to appreciate those houses more in synastry? I think if you have planets in the eleventh, it could feel great to have other, you know, if you're Aquarian oriented yourself, then it could feel great to have somebody else's planets coming in there because you yourself are just kind of a casual surfer dude, and then you meet another casual surfer dude. What are you going to do? Going to be casual together. So, yeah, it can be something that kind of fulfills our own idea of how we are and what we want, and, um, yeah, it can make it nice. Yeah, okay. And, yeah, I just wanted to ask again, and I know you've said this a number of times, but I keep forgetting, is it the house of the sun person, um, who will be, who is more accepted or is impacted more? Do you remember? It's, it is the house person who is seen as having the qualities of acceptance. Okay, so we see as the sun person, yeah, we see that. And I've had this, so I can actually explain how this works. I actually remember this particular thing where my sun came into someone's eleventh house, and we're actually in community theater group when we were like 17, 18, 18 or 19 years old, and, uh, you know, just sitting around, uh, you know, reading scripts and doing monologues and having fun. And, and I met this, he was just another kid, another, a friend, um, but I felt immediately like he liked me, and that he didn't have any like agenda for me. There was nothing I needed to be afraid of. And so we were immediately friends because I felt like there was this open door. And that wasn't necessarily something that he felt, but I was reflecting to him that, hey, you know, I really like you. I feel really comfortable with you. And so he felt really comfortable with me as well. So it's, it's something that will erase most barriers, especially most, um, social barriers. We don't do or bother with the usual niceties or the usual hoops that we make each other jump through. It's just like, all that is cleared, and we just go right into telling each other that, hey, you know what? I was walking into the store, and you're not going to believe it. My pants fell down this morning. It was crazy. It was just, I didn't know what was going on. I guess I have to get a new belt. We're telling people like somebody this, and we've met them five minutes ago, and then we're both laughing together. That's so funny. Let me tell you a story about when my pants fell down. So it's fun. It's fun to just be able to let our freak flag fly, and have the other person have the same similar flag. And with, it's, it's funny because with me, it's a little bit different because, uh, this my Saturn is opposite this person's sun, but their sun is in the eleventh, and I, my experience has been that it, I, I'm at that place that you're talking about, but it's taking a long time, but not because I wasn't, it wasn't because there were never there. It wasn't because there were obstacles. There was a formality and an uncomfortableness with getting to know them originally, but, you know, you get to know them over time, but then, but the acceptance was always underlying. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, I do, because situations and conditions have a lot to do with how these things are going to express. Because we could be having this sense of, hey, I really like you. I feel like I really get to be myself with you, but we're in a situation that's very formal, and that we're expected to interact with each other in a more professional way. Yeah. So that could be something where we may not have the full, you know, I can just laugh as loud as I want to be around you until we're in a situation that can support that kind of behavior, and then you would start to see that. Yeah. Did anybody else have anything to ask or add? That, okay. Oh, you asked, uh, a question. Was I the house person? No, I was the sun person in that theater group situation. Yeah, I was, uh, the one immediately. Yeah, they feel immediate because they're coming into the area of life where the house person is acting out humanitarianism. They are experiencing friendship and altruism and not having an agenda or a plan. So that's the benefit that the sun person receives. That's the area of personality that's the sun person's hooking into. Yeah. Should we talk about sun in the twelfth house? Okay. Uh, rather infamous placement, I would say, in synastry. Um, so similar to having the sun in someone's eighth house because they both represent areas of life experience where things are somewhat obscured. But they're a little bit different. In the eighth house, we know it's there, but we don't want to know. It's stuff that is in our basement. We kind of know we own it. We've put it down there for reasons. Things that are repressed or hidden. Things within the twelfth house are truly unknown. These are truly mysteries, and they're often, uh, things that we don't know that we don't know as well, and, uh, ways in which we can act completely unconsciously and not understand that we're our own worst enemy. So that's why we associate self.
Undoing with the 12th house. It's where we're our own worst enemy because we don't know what's going on. We don't know what we're doing. We don't know ourselves.
So when someone's sun comes into the 12th house, it's like it's very much like the sun coming into a basement. But it's coming into the attic. It's coming into a place where there isn't a lot of, uh, dynamic activity. So the sun person sees the 12th house person as a mystery and oftentimes as extremely complex, unfathomable, understandable. And because they're interacting, their vital life force and their ability to assess and interpret is interacting with a part of someone else's personality where they're very evasive and where we often can't get a clear answer from the 12th house person.
So it could bring a lot of awareness to the 12th house person. The 12th house person is likely to act out in some irrational ways as a result of how the sun person has triggered them or what they bring up. Because it's very much like having a light turned on, you know, the swinging light in the police movies where they turn the swinging light on in the interrogation room. It goes back and forth and back and forth. And that's kind of like what it's like with the sun in the 12th house. But that light isn't on all the time.
And so you're likely to see, uh, you will have elements within ourselves. We'll have parts of ourselves that are mysterious come to the surface. And, um, so we can act in ways that are kind of mystifying to us, like, "Why does he bring that out in me?" or "Why does she cause that, and I'm fine around everybody else?" So it can pull out these things that we don't know that we don't know about ourselves.
And sometimes someone's sun in the 12th house will keep a relationship from forming if the sun person is very concrete and if they don't do well with any amount of esoterica in somebody's personality. Um, they can often back away because they can feel like they can't get a good read on the 12th person. They can't really figure out who they are or what they're about.
And sometimes, as the sun person, we can feel that the 12th house person won't really let us know them. And that could be a bit frustrating because we can feel like, you know, we we want to really have that, you know, visceral connection. I really want to know what's next. And oftentimes that can bring security too, really, really knowing somebody.
Did you ever see the movie, um, Jackie Brown, Quentin Tarantino movie about 20, 25 years ago? There is this wonderful scene that really illustrates, uh, this point. And, um, it was this, this gangster who had this young, young, wasn't his girlfriend, she's just one of the women that he put up and supported and, you know, interact with when he wanted to. Um, he had this, this girl and he left her alone with this friend that just got out of prison. And the girlfriend, you know, flirted with the friend that just got out of prison. They ended up having sex. And later on, the gangster comes back and he says to the friend, "So did Melanie hit you up?" And the friend says, "Ah," because he wasn't going to admit to this, right? He was like, "Yeah, I, I guess we did." And the gangster's like, "Yeah, yeah, thought that'd be good for you."
And the guy that was with Melanie, the friend that just got out of jail, he says, "How can you trust her? How can you trust her if you know that she'll do other guys?" And the gangster says, "Oh, I can trust her. I can absolutely trust her because I can trust Melanie to be Melanie." Can't do that with the sun in the 12th house because we don't know Melanie. Melanie could do anything. But say, uh, you know, there's that essential security that comes from knowing someone. That was the point of that scene. That even if they're gonna do things that you don't necessarily agree with, there's no real insecurity in that.
So that's what we have to be aware of with the sun in the 12th house is that the sun person can often find themselves to be somewhat uncomfortable or just to feel like there's this nebulousness that exists about the 12th house person. Um, maybe that or maybe Melanie's in the 11th. In the 11th, yeah, she's just in the location.
I have a question for you though. If you could kind of just elaborate about the whole, like, if the sun person is a, a, a personality that can't really tolerate that? I'm thinking so, like, I mentioned I have these two, I call them sister friends. And so just as I don't have any sisters, that these two women are sister friends to me. I've known them since I was three and five years old. And one is a year older than me and one is younger. And they hate each other. Which I think is really funny. Their birthdays are two days apart in February and they hate each other. Yeah. In fact, even when they showed up at my son's birthday party with their children, they still wouldn't speak to each other. I mean, it's like they have not gotten over whatever happened in 1972. So, oh my god. Um, it's really weird.
But what I'm thinking about is, um, and they have a lot of interesting similarities and some key differences. But what's interesting for me is when you talk about, so I'm the 12th house person in this relationship because their sun is in my 12th house. And I think you're talking about how there's this sort of mystery. And so I find that, I find it a frustration in that neither one of them know me. They don't know my life. I go over to their houses, I know their life, I know their, I know what's going on with them, I know their philosophies, I know their religion, they invite me to their churches, I know their stuff. And my whole world is really about, is completely different from anything they know about. And, um, they never ask. I mean, they know this is going on. They know I travel, they know I go places, they know I write, they know I do things that they don't do and have never done and expressed no desire to do. They're both born in Seattle and they've both been to Seattle. Um, and that's kind of as far as they've been. They haven't gone up to Vancouver, you know, they'd be leaving the country. And they haven't gone to Portland. I mean, this is, you know, and I've gone around the world and I lived all around the world. So they don't have any, um, sense of me at all. I don't feel.
Mm-hmm. No, that's common with the start of the 12th. Yeah, that's very common. That's a symptom of it. Nope. It seems like it'd be like going both ways. Like not only do, like you say, the sun, the sun person, um, doesn't feel like they know or can get a good read on the 12th house person, but I think that it's like they don't even want to know. Like they don't want to ask. Like they have no curiosity about the kinds of food I cook or anything.
Well, I'm wondering if you got into a pattern with them of, um, uh, I would say of just them kind of sucking up more of the air in the relationship or, um, having, you know, as friendships and in relationships, romantic relationships, we establish a pattern of relating to each other. And every once in a while, we have to shake the sugar tray. We have to remind each other that, um, you know, I, I think that there's something going on here that isn't always working for me. So I'm wondering if over the course of time, you've just kind of gotten into a pattern where you, you don't assert yourself as much or maybe aren't as needy or as naturally talkative about what your needs are. And oftentimes, our friends can just come to see us as self-contained, as not always needing that, or as, uh, sometimes I think they can even forget. It's like, no, this is how we relate to each other. You know, I'm the one who needs the support. I'm the one, yeah, or expects you to ask the questions. And, and we have to reestablish our, um, what do we negotiate every once in a while, I think is what we have to come to.
Yeah, I was just thinking like, one of them, I mean, the last phone call we had, she called up and made a critical remark about wearing masks, got her little two bits in about that, and then said, "But we won't talk about that," and shifting gears right into what we usually talk about. And it just really struck me that's like, well, this is how it really goes. We will talk about your stuff, but we won't talk about here. He doesn't want to talk about anything that might bring up your opinion, right?
Yeah. And so I guess you said something about here, like the sun person, if they're more, um, a controlled or controlling kind of a person, then they're maybe going to try to, I mean, I guess that's what I'm interested in. I think there's something to that because the 12th houses are houses of sensitivities. It's our house of passivity. And so I do think that the sun person can get away with quite a lot with the coming into the 12th house. This is where we tend to be more passive and forgiving and we don't readily assert ourselves. I mean, this is the Pisces part of our personality that they're really coming into contact with. So I think sometimes we have to remind people, "Hey, I'm here. Hey, I have an opinion. You know, I like things too." And, and we just need to, uh, to shake things up and then remind people that, uh, you know, I'm, I'm still here. It's, and I think that that's normal in relationships, especially when it's a long-term relationship, friendships, sibling relationships, parent relationships, especially that, you know, we'll grow over the course of time and different parts of ourselves will require expression or want to be known. And sometimes we have to bring that up and say, you know, I feel like, um, you know, we just have to tell them, you know, I feel like my wants and my needs aren't always being considered in this relationship. And, um, I'm wondering, is there something that we can do about that? And if you don't get a good response, it may be that maybe she doesn't have the capacity to be that kind of friend that you're looking for. In in that vein, it sounds like you have a lot of other really good things that are going on between the two of you, but it may be something that you kind of have to bring up. "Hey, you're selfish. Can we, uh, include me in the conversation sometimes?" Unaccommodating. I, I mean, I'm a very, you know, whatever goes kind of a person. And she admits that she, she's absolutely not. And so the older one, the older one is absolutely a controlling person. And, and the younger one is the super empath. So she is like completely not a controlling person, but she also just can't, uh, she also has their own way of controlling things. It's just, it's a very subversive way of controlling the conversation. It's really interesting.
How did you do that? She does it not just with me, but I'm good friends with her mother as well. And because of course, I've known her mother since I was three as well. So, um, and, uh, yeah, she really fascinating stuff. Anyway, that passive control. Yeah, that could definitely be a thing when it comes to 12th house or Pisces or sensitive personalities. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Is that Pisces emotional? There's sort of an emotional time bomb that, that, you know, is going to go off that things don't go the way they want it to. I feel like that could be a thing too, that they're, that subtle threat of, "I'll go off the deep end." But oftentimes, it's, um, the use of sensitivities that are used to control the environment and to control other people. You know, "I can't have the music too loud," or, you know, there's like these parameters with which they can operate within. And that's a way of controlling the environment. And I've seen this too in, um, highly sensitive personalities or people who have a lot of passive elements in their personality that, you know, if they get sick and or if they have some kind of physical issues, that that will be then what is used for the control. You know, "My, yeah, I have these, you know, dietary needs," or, "You know, I can't have the music too loud." Or so it's environmental control that and control other people too. But it's very, right, it's very insidious how it's happening. It's not overt at all. And you can't say anything because then you look like a real heel. That's what it is. It's designed to make it look like a selfish jerk if you don't turn the music down. Yeah, when you go ahead and forgot and put tomatoes in the, uh, in the casserole and forgot that they can't eat that, right? And then they have to, "I'm going to go in hives and I'm probably going to die. I can't eat anything."
I hear ya. I know, I know. Um, I think all of us have those elements within our personalities. A lot of us can use that. But there are some of us who've really perfected the art of controlling our environment. And, um, it is something that is very, very hard to call people on the carpet because it looks, you know, very much like these are requirements that they really have. And, um, yeah, I, I have seen that a lot of times that, you know, an illness will be something that forever, you know, even if it was 20 years ago, that will be what is used to continually really get their way or put other people in the position that they're in. And also the illness can become the identity as well. So it's something to watch out.
Have a colleague at work like that. Oh, it's, it's, it's something. Yeah. It's an interesting phenomenon. So yeah, that's the covert way of controlling. The overt way of controlling is more the Scorpionic way of, uh, it's going to be my way or the highway kind of thing. But the sensitive Pisces way is, it's going to be my way or I'm going to have to go to the hospital. And everybody's going to think you're a really bad person. Still my way or the highway. This is different how we arrived.
Anybody else have anything to ask or add? Tosca, I was just wondering with this overlay, you know, how you said that sometimes the sun person can feel uncomfortable because they might not, you know, understand who the 12th house person is, if the 12th house isn't being receptive in the way that they want. What about if, um, the sun person has got, you know, like their Neptune on the 12th house person's sun? Is that going to be something where even in reality, they might not know or understand the house person, but they feel like they do because there is a certain amount of projection? So there may be an affinity in one part of life or in the personality, some amount of understanding. Is that what you're getting? You might at understand the question. I'm, I'm just kind of wondering if maybe if their Neptune was activated, this the sun, the planet person's Neptune, then would that take away a lot of the feeling of not, not feeling like?
Oh, no, it wouldn't. No, that is totally separate. That has nothing to do with the contents of the 12th house. That's a different action entirely.
Interesting. Well, would it, would it make the sun person less likely to want to walk away? Yes, if the sun person is highly Neptunian themselves. Yeah, they could be okay with some amount of wishy-washiness or open-endedness, right? And they may not even like it, but that may be something that they are acquainted with. Yeah. But if we have somebody who has like a lot of Aries or, you know, first house stuff or, um, uh, very like very direct things or a lot of like hard aspects from or even easy aspects from inner planets to Uranus, especially like sun opposite to Uranus, they would be like, "Man, this is not even getting into this because it feels like I am dealing with a nebulous cloud and I can't get a straight answer one way or the other. And I don't feel like if this is all clear, and I am out." So that can be very, very challenging for some, like that, because their expectation is, "I just want to know." Yeah. Even if I don't like the answer, I feel secure if I know. Yeah. Yeah. Somebody else who has nebulousness in their personality could tolerate it much more. Yeah. So if they had, like 12th house planets or if they were very Neptunian themselves, they might, they might be okay with this with these types of overlays. Yes. I would say okay with it. They're still gonna have that sense of not really being able to pin it down or know exactly what's going on or really know who you are, but it's going to be something that's likely to not be triggering for them. They won't find it to be unfamiliar. Yeah. Interesting. Interesting. And themselves, they can be prone to nebulous situations. So exactly. Okay. Yeah.
I just wanted to ask, you know, when we did the early synistry classes, you know, you talked initially about, you know, angles are really important. Sun to sun, sun to angles, moon to angles, and all of that is really important. One of the first things you look at. So basically, I want you to let me know, so the sun in the houses, how does that feature in terms of like a hierarchy of importance, you know, in the chart and the whole, basically, you know what I mean? Uh, planets and houses? I would say, well, sun in the houses is very important. I would say moon in the house is probably more important.
Okay. Okay. So you'd look at sort of like angles to sun, angles to moon, sun to sun, moon, and then maybe moon in the house is next? No, then I look at aspects. Oh, okay. Yeah. How I do it is I look at, yeah, do we have in our planet context to, uh, we'll send them in context to angles. If we do, excellent. We're more likely to have something to do with each other and have it to be much more personal and impactful relationship. Then I look at aspects. Then I look at where are the planets falling into. They can help or hurt or mitigate those aspects. Okay.
Um, sorry, Jules, just one more question. If, um, somebody's sun falls into a person's 11th house, but very close to the cusp of the 12th house, would you use both energies? No, you would just use the other. If it, but most astrologers, including myself, if it's in within one degree of that next house, we lump it into the next house. Oh, okay. Within one degree. But anything other than that, it's in, it's in the 11th.
