I want to show you my workflow of how I use Char GPT with free card to generate 3D models. You want to follow along with this tutorial. First, you need to get Charity and any version we do for the free card. As the name suggests, it is free. Just go to free.org and download whichever version.
Now, let me go ahead and show you how to set up free card for this demonstration. This is free card. Open. Click on this create new button you see here. One critical thing that you need to do, though, is to make sure that you have this Python console activated. In some cases, it's possible that you don't have it. Let me go ahead and recreate what it might be for some new users. You might just have this blank page like that, but I want that Python console because we're going to use it later. In that case, all you can do to activate it is to come to the View tab here, come to Panel, and you see where you have, um, this Python console. Click on it, and you have it here.
One more thing you need to do. Do you see where you have this Stats here? Just come here and let's choose a workbench. It could be Part to start with. To finish setup, come to this Macro here, come to Macros, and come to Create. So give it a unique name and click OK. Now you see this page, and now we are ready to start the demonstration.
Before we go ahead to start doing the complicated stuff, let's pass a prompt into Charity and have it create a simple shape like a cube. Now, this is being passed the instruction. Just please generate a cube in free card with dimensions 20 by 20 by 20. And as simple as that, then I want it. Now, for this, I'll go here and copy this code. So copy. I go back to three card. It is there, and remember this was a macro page we just created. I just come here and paste it, and I click on this button, which is one. Now we can see the code has been created for us. As you can see from the setup, everything is working fine.
Now, let's give something much more difficult or much more complicated. What I intend to do is to create a staircase and let's see how ChatGPT would handle that. Generate staircase in free card using Python. Okay, I mean, I just click and let's see what we're going to get. Yeah, we have the code here. Let's copy it and go to free up. Oh, this is a scroll to at home. I don't mind adding it again. I'm just going to copy of it and delete it and paste. I mean, we want it straight away. Let's see. Oh, fair enough. The result we got wasn't that bad, but I want something more. I want something where I have a bit of control. It's possible that you have a different concept in mind. Maybe if I keep writing the prompt, I will get good clues to what I want to get. But from what I've seen here, the more complicated the instructions are, the more the software is likely going to break.
So what I do most of the time is that I show you a sample of what I want. Let me go ahead and show you how to draw it and give you what you want. Okay, so for what I want to do, I will come to Part Design. It would be a good idea to create a new file. Oh, before I go ahead, I need to explain something. Now, you see this Python console here. Every activity I model would be recorded here, and so this is very important to start with. Let me just go ahead and make sure that everything is clear. But now, let's see. Let's go ahead and have better control over the tool. So let me go back to ChatGPT. Wow, guys, this is better than what I expected. This is better than what I expected. But if you look at the code, like I've shown you, it's giving us the option to control the number of stairways we want and the dimensions. It has just chosen random dimensions for that. That is why it looks so. But one, I, one thing I want to do now is to ask for a kind of GUI. So when I want the code, a bus is going to appear where I can control the dimension. I can determine the number of stairways. I can command the dimensions of the risers and the thread, and maybe it's not going to look much more like it's stairway. But so far, I think it's good enough. So let's go ahead and ask ChatGPT to give us a GUI so we'll be able to control our destination. Fantastic. Okay, so that I can control the. So let me go ahead to code. Um, now is ask for something and sure you install the stain. I presume this should be a spare stain by nobody agreed to any ex, but let's see this works. It doesn't work. I'm going to ask it to give you something else. So let me go back to the code and now delete initial code. Put this s it and let's run it. I can go back and always go back and te see.
