THE BEST WAYS TO ACTIVATE THE POWER IN THE NAME JESUS

Jesus Evangelical Assembly29:06

Transcription

We share this morning on the best ways to activate the power in the name of Jesus. The best ways to activate the power in the name of Jesus. Acts 3 verse 16 living Bible. Jesus name has healed this man and you know how lame he was before. Faith in Jesus name. Faith given us from God has caused this perfect healing.

One interesting thing about the power in the name of Jesus Christ is that even your little children, your innocent little children, when they mention that name, it generates effect, generates impact, generates results. Instantly, you have not yet discovered the enormous potential that resides, the enormous authority embedded in the name of Jesus Christ.

Words have power. Words have power. In Proverbs 18:21, Proverbs 18 verse 21, King James version, it says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Words have power." In Good News translation, it says, "What you say can preserve life or destroy it." Words have power. Words convey power. Words have the power to create. Words have the power to destroy.

There are spirits waiting to execute and fulfill words that have been spoken. And words can be released in different ways. Words can be spoken in different ways through pronouncements. Words can be spoken through declarations. Words can be spoken through prayer. Words can be spoken through songs, through hymns. Words can be spoken through scriptures. And there are so many potent scriptures, potent scriptures that you can confidently classify as keys because they are keys. They always fulfill a particular purpose any time you speak out those scriptures like Psalm 6, Psalm 91. When it comes to activating the covering of God, the protection of God, it is guaranteed any day.

Words can also be spoken through true blessings. So parents take note because one of those critical factors when it comes to making pronouncements is the authority to make the pronouncement. Sometimes you don't need to be anointed to make certain pronouncements but you need to have just the authority. So a father, for instance, has the authority to bless his children. A mother has the authority to bless her children. One of the ways through which words are released is through blessings. And what is a blessing? A blessing is a call upon supernatural forces to help or work in favor of someone. And I'm sent this morning to declare to someone here that the remaining part of this year will be blessed by God for you.

>> God will bless the works of your hands.

There are some vital things you need to know about blessings. A blessing can be spoken into existence and the blessing can also be released through writing. Through writing. You can write, you can send, you can bless someone by sending a written a written message. Convey that blessing. The blessing can be spoken into existence through specific pronouncements, specific promises, or specific covenants.

In Genesis 32:26, Genesis 32:26 Amplified Bible Classic Edition, he said, then he said, "Let me go for day is breaking." But Jacob said, "I will not let you go unless you declare, unless you declare." Can somebody say declare?

>> Unless you declare a blessing upon me.

Words can also be released in written form. Something very, very key when it comes to boosting the power of words that are either spoken or written, words that are released is the spiritual authority behind that word. So you are going to discover that one of the reasons why the words of a Christian carry so much weight in the spiritual realm is because of that simple word Jesus. The moment that word is powered by the word Jesus, it is on a different level. And every true believer has the privilege of access to a measure of spiritual authority.

Looking at the word authority, you know, you notice that power and authority are sometimes used interchangeably in the New Testament. In Revelations 11, for instance, 3-13, uh, 3 to, yeah, 3-13, you see, especially in the earlier part, you see verse 3-6, you see the word power, authority being used interchangeably, talking about the two witnesses and how God will endow them with power, with authority. The word authority is translated from the Greek word exousia, denoting denoting ability or strength that one is endured or given, endured with or given. Take note of this. Power is the ability of force to accomplish something while authority is the right, the right to carry it out. I believe this will help. Power is the ability of force to accomplish something while authority is the right to carry it out.

So what's the source of your authority as a believer? In Matthew 28:18, when Jesus rose from the dead, he declared, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth." So Jesus has all authority. He's the ultimate key, the ultimate keyholder. Revelations 17 to 18. In Revelations 3:7, Revelations 3:7 says, "These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens, no one can shut, and what he shuts, no one can open."

Now, you will take note that in the Bible, especially in the New Testament, keys are symbolic of authority and power. Keys usually symbolize authority. They also symbolize power. So keys are a metaphor for spiritual authority. In Matthew 16:19, Matthew 16:19, he says, and he gives us, he says, "Use these keys in my name. Use these keys in my name." So he has given us the keys of authority. And kingdom keys represent your authority. You need to start using them more than ever before. You have heavenly keys of authority with which you are expected to enforce God's will, God's purpose in different dimensions on the surface of this earth. You have the authority in the name of Jesus to make declarations and decrees, and God will enforce them.

How do you use the keys of the kingdom? We just say one or two things on that. First, the keys of the kingdom are primarily heard and used through your mouth. Through your mouth. The keys of the kingdom are primarily heard and used through your mouth. We use physical keys to access our property, vehicles by taking those keys in our hands and inserting them into a lock. However, spiritual keys are primarily used in our mouth. In our mouth. So, keys turn and doors are unlocked as we make declarations and prophetic decrees. So, take note as you make declarations and prophetic decrees. Our words and prayers in agreement with God's word release power. They release power.

You, you, you, you, you are not yet aware of the magnitude of what happens when you simply pray a prayer and then you round it up by saying, "In the name of Jesus." The moment that is spoken, something happens in the spiritual realm, even by your little child. So you have to speak, you have to make declarations, you have to make prophetic decrees.

Now there are factors that boost the impact of words, the impact of pronouncements. There are certain factors that whenever they are activated in connection with the word, in connection with a pronouncement, such words of pronouncements have more power. They produce better results. They have more impact. And what are some of these factors?

One, the spiritual authority, spiritual power, or spiritual mantle of the person making the pronouncement. The spiritual authority, spiritual power, or spiritual mantle of the person making the pronouncement. In Matthew 8:8-9, Matthew 8:8-9 living Bible, he says, "Then the officer said, Sir, I am not worthy to have you in my home and it isn't necessary for you to come. If you will only stand here and say, 'Be healed,' my servant will get well. I know because I am under the authority of my superior officers. And I have authority." Take note of the emphasis on the word authority. "And I have authority over my soldiers. And I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another, 'Come,' and he comes. And to my slave boy, 'Do this or that,' and he does it." And I know you have authority.

Now look at the dimension of authority he is pointing out here. Look at the dimension of because there are different dimensions of authority. He said, "I know you have authority to tell this sickness to go." Now there are certain dimensions of authority that you have that you are not yet aware of. There are things you can pray over, but you never pray over such things. Unknown to you that if only you were to begin to make declarations over such things, you'll be surprised at what would have been the outcome of your declarations by now. And I'm being told to tell someone here that it's not too late now. It's not too late. He says, "I know you have authority to tell this sickness to go and it will go." So whether that sickness, that yoke will be broken, that sickness will stop or not, one of the factors that determines it is the spiritual authority behind the word commanding that thing to disappear.

And take note that there are different levels of grace that follows a pronouncement. There are different levels of grace that follows a pronouncement. The higher the level of grace behind a pronouncement released for a specific purpose, the greater the results and impact such pronouncements will produce. The higher the level of grace behind the pronouncement released for a specific purpose, the greater the results and impact such pronouncements will produce. A blessing or pronouncement released from a person with higher spiritual authority or power can override and stop an existing curse from having any further effect.

So in 2 Kings chapter 2:8-19, 2 Kings chapter 2:18-19, you see the prophet Elijah now operating in the double portion of the prophetic anointing that was even upon Elijah. God used him to make a pronouncement that cancelled an old generational curse that was activated from the time of Joshua.

Another factor that often gives a big boost to words are what we call anointed words. Anointed words. So any time you are doing your Bible study, let it not just be like a hunter going on a hunting spree and not, you know, you are not processing what you have caught in hunting. You must make notes on certain verses. Certain verses are spiritual ammunition, spiritual weapons. Certain verses in the Bible are powerful promises, extremely potent for certain situations or circumstances. So anytime you are studying, always let your study of that book, that verse, those verses not just be in vain. And don't think you will always remember. We pray for grace to remember. So the best thing to do always save, make notes, whatever you want to make notes on certain scriptures, certain insights from certain scriptures.

In Ephesians 6:7, it is revealed to us that the word of God is the sword of the spirit. The sword of the spirit. Powerful weapon. In the book of Hebrews 4:12, it says, "For the word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing into the dividing and sundering of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and it is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." So if you declare or pronounce the word of God, it has great effect and carries out the purpose for that particular scripture. And if in your journey God now gives you a specific scripture, don't joke with it. Note it.

Number three, the third major factor that's a big boost to the impact of words, the impact of pronouncements is the name of Jesus. Names, like words, have a lot of power, and this goes both positively and negatively. You have a responsibility to fix your life. Don't sustain errors and generational errors. Says in the days of ignorance God has overlooked but now he commands all men to repent. If for certain reasons in our family line some people, you know, got it wrong and they were in the wrong part and they went to the extent of now adopting a name that honors a deity, honors snakes, honors the river goddess, honors certain demonic entities. The moment you become a mature disciple of Christ, you have the personal responsibility to detach yourself from the negative consequences of bearing that name.

In Philippians chapter 2:9-11 easy to read version, he said, "God raised him up to the most important place and gave him the name that is greater than any other name than any other name. God did this so that every person will bow down to honor the name of Jesus. Everyone in heaven on earth and under the earth will bow. So there are people under the earth, they will all confess Jesus Christ is Lord, and this will bring glory to God the Father." So names bring glory to certain people. The same way there are some names that bring glory to Satan. It's very clear from the name. So such names need to be changed.

In Mark 16:17, Jesus said, "In my name they shall cast out devils. In my name they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall be healed." So there are many dimensions of God's power and ability that you can express through the authority that lies in the name of Jesus Christ. In Luke chapter 10:17, after the 70 disciples came back, they were rejoicing and they said, "Master, even the demons bowed to us at the mention of your name, at the mention of your name." So every believer can make demons obey their pronouncements simply by using the name of Jesus to make such pronouncements.

Names have powerful spiritual implications. Names command authority physically and then more importantly spiritually. And take note of this. Names have areas of influence and areas of effectiveness. In Acts 3:6, Acts 3:6, New Living Translation said, "But Peter said, 'I don't have any silver or gold for you, but I will give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, get up and walk. Get up and walk.'" The name of Jesus is an instrument of signs and wonders. It carries the anointing that was upon Jesus Christ.

And do you know that symbols, there's power in symbols, there's spiritual power in symbols. That name Jesus, please take note of this. Don't make that mistake of writing J.N. Yes, stop it. There's nothing like J.N. meaning in Jesus name. No, there's power in the written form but do it properly. You are blessed in Jesus name. Don't be writing J.N. Don't be writing J.N. Even the visual of the name Jesus has spiritual power. It has effect. It has impact. It has results. So that is why you see that we've had testimonies of billboards that had simply the name of Jesus, and certain accidents that had been happening at such road junctions suddenly stopped the moment that billboard with the name of Jesus was erected there. So there's wisdom in Jesus stickers. There's wisdom in printing Jesus on the names on on certain clothing. Many believers are not conscious of this power. So they don't use it to the maximum.

But take note, we're closing it up now. The kingdom of darkness, they recognize the power of words. So that is why they easily curse. They judge. They sentence. They decree. They command things to happen. They easily invoke incantations. They frequently use their mouth to spoil things. They use their mouth to spoil things.

Thank you, Lord. I stand as God's servant to certain people here. Whatever they have spoiled in your life today by the mercy of God is divinely corrected >> in the name of Jesus. Every area of your life that the enemy has tampered with today, it is divinely corrected >> in the name of Jesus. >> It is healed and restored >> in the name of Jesus. >> Your glory is restored. Your glory is restored >> in the name of Jesus.
