So, I just have to call myself out first and foremost. I have been wanting to create a YouTube channel for over five years. I actually launched a channel in 2020, and I think since then I uploaded two or three videos. So, with that said, I am going to be 42 years old this September, and I am done with procrastinating. I'm done with waiting for things to be perfect. Um, so I'm just going to go ahead and dive in and start my YouTube channel. Eventually, when I get to 50 subscribers, I can go live, um, and just really share more about my testimony, um, what I'm building. Um, and so I hope this encourages you to get started. Perfectly and perfect. I'm not editing any of my videos, so they're going to be very messy.
Okay, so first of all, I guess we could start off with introducing myself. Um, I'm Christina Rose. I Where do where do I even start? Um, so I moved to central Virginia about 2 1/2 years ago. My story is wild. Like it is going to take an entire year to share my story so that you know that no matter where you are in life and going through transitions, I've gone through a lot of transitions, that you are not alone. So when I share my story, it's because jumping on YouTube really helped me going through a lot of like taking a lot of, you know, risks in my life. Um, and so it's it's really it's really been quite wild. So I moved to central Virginia. I met my now husband on e-harmony after about four years of being single. And I decided after one of our horrible hurricanes, so I moved from South Florida after one of the horrible hurricanes, my neighbor was like, "Why don't you just go online and flirt with guys and let guys gas you up?" And I didn't really know what he meant by that, but I was like, "Okay, I just like got to push myself outside of my comfort zone." Thankfully, in 3 days, my now husband found me because I tried cancelling multiple times with e-harmony. It was very overwhelming. Like within the first few days, they wouldn't let me cancel. So thankfully he found me on day three. We facetimed um the first five months of our relationship, got married, moved very fast. Um, and it's been 2 1/2 years since then.
So, it has been the most um expansive two and a half years that has stretched me beyond what I even knew was possible for many reasons. Um, I won't be able to share every single little detail because there are some people that um we just get to leave out of it. But what I can say is that I went back to grad school. I last in May got my master's in human services and professional life coaching. In May, we traveled all over Indonesia. Um, it was an it was a trip of a lifetime. Went to some of the most remote remote villages in the world. Um, had a few days on a private yacht and just lived such a an a different lifestyle. Maybe I can post some pictures on here. Um, that really changed me and it really changed my mindset expanded. I I thought that I had a very expansive mindset because I came from working in the luxury market. That was my background in real estate sales for for over for about 12 years. So, and that was in Southwest Florida. So, I already had a very like expansive vision and mindset. But this trip to Indonesia just stretched me in ways I in in a life that I never got to experience before and what it truly means to be a kingdom builder. And so I'm going to be sharing more of that.
But I guess, you know, with that said, I'm kind of all over the place because I have so much I want to share. But with that said, I am a Christian. I was raised in a Christian home, went to Christian schools, um, that were very legalistic and religious and full of condemnation, not God's grace, love, and mercy. So, from the age of 16 to about 23, I was wild. Like, I completely rebelled. I still think I'm that way. Just a lot more self-control. Um, so I'm going to be sharing a lot of that experience and how I um really just building my own personal relationship with Jesus rather than being wrapped in religion which I truly believe is bondage and guilt and shame. And so yeah, we are going to talk I might even do a whole playlist on that. Um, and then I also had experience kind of getting tied up in new age practices. I didn't realize it was new age. So, there was a whole um awakening of or really I I don't even want to say awakening cuz that's not really the term that I want to use, but it's more a revelation of what the new age is. And um so I'm sure I'll be sharing a lot more of that.
But really what this channel is going to be focused on is is the verse that is one of my favorite verses: Romans 12:2, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And so I believe that with my whole heart because it has been a process of overcoming limiting beliefs. Um, and I don't even say that very very very lightly. Um, from a place of not knowing my identity in Christ, from a place of um not having confidence and and making really poor choices because I didn't know my worth. Um, so we're going to take a deep dive into that. But really what has I think what has been the biggest struggle for me and something that I know I can support women in set in setting free here on this YouTube channel is getting lost or confused of manifestation culture, the whole hustle and hype of what I have seen, you know, working in the online space for probably 5 years. Um, and so I really want to speak and and give clarity as I had gained clarity on what that is and what it is to have an abundant mindset, what it is to manifest. For me, it's being a good steward of the gifts that God has given you, right? being disciplined and devoted to the calling in your life, no matter where it is, what industry. And I get to share with you how that has just produced so much fruit in my life. Like I definitely went through a very long Job season. Job in the Bible who um lost absolutely everything and then God blessed him, you know, double when he overcame a lot of the tests that the enemy had put him through. And so I definitely there's so many Bible stories that are that I feel that are um that I have lived out in my own life and that's how I have gained the clarity and the confidence to really step into the coaching industry because of all of the incredible stories in the Bible and like the people that God had used.
And so what I learned going through grad school and going through a lot of my courses, it's a I went to a Christian Houston Christian University. And so it wasn't so much what I feel if you are in a leadership position, right? And you're like, I'm not good enough. I'm not qualified enough. I can't do this on my own because of all these mistakes that I've made. Um, I struggled with all of that. I am probably the least qualified to call myself a professional life coach, but because my heart has been so surrendered and open to allowing the Holy Spirit to work through me, allowing God to use me, that is what gives me the confidence. So, if you are in a leadership position and you're like, I don't qualify, or there's there's just this kind of maybe a little glimpse of what God is calling you to in a leadership position, um, and you feel like there is absolutely no way, I want to encourage you to follow that, to step into that because as you start hearing more of my story, um, as you know, time goes on and starting a YouTube at almost 42 years old, you will realize it's really not in our own power. It's not in our own might, right? It's really allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you. And that is what gave me the confidence going through a lot of the the courses that I took. We are a vessel, right? And the counselors I took um an addictions counseling course and the counselors that were um the most impactful, the most effective in their therapeutic processes were the ones who overcame addiction. Those were the most impactful counselors. And I really feel that in where whatever industry you are in in a leadership position, the ones who have have struggled and overcome a lot of adversity are really truly the shining stars and the ones who God rises up in his own perfect timing. So maybe you're in your 40s too and you're like, you know, how can God God use me? And I would just say step forward with me on this journey. Encourage one another. Hold one another accountable. Let me know that you're here. I hope this reaches I hope this reaches people. Um, and we get to start this new beginning.
So this is my intro video. It's a little all over the place. Um, let me know you're here. Let me know that you are a subscriber. I'll definitely get into the flow of all all of that. I'm also spending a lot more time on my Instagram. So, it's the same username, Crown for Overflow. If you want to follow me on Instagram and shoot me a message, I started a new Instagram. Um, and we're at 11 followers right now. So, yeah. So, this is going to be interesting to see how all of this grows. I'm also going to be sharing, documenting my um fitness and health uh journey. So, that's going to be a lot of fun, too. Ready to get into the best shape of my life in my 40s. So, I'm excited about that. So, there's a lot of things to kind of connect with, follow along with, um, and grow together. I can't wait to meet you.
